View Full Details of Orangery Care HomeHello - our mother has been looked after by the Orangery Care Home in Aldershot for the last few months. My brother and I have both been very impressed with the level of service and the general empathy the staff offer the residents. Our mum has settled in very well and has really benefited from the interaction with other residents and staff.
My sister moved into the Orangery Care Home in May 2023, ten months ago. With the beginnings of Dementia, she found it difficult to adapt to her 'new home', but is relatively settled now as could be in the circumstances. I am so glad my sister is in the care of the Orangery! The Management team are efficient, wise and always ready to listen and act accordingly. This is most assuring to us her family. I can go to bed at night knowing I need not worry about my sister! The Caring and Nursing staff are brilliant. They have adapted to the needs of my sister as her mental and mobility capacity has deteriorated. I have absolute confidence in this lovely home for these vulnerable dear older ones in our families and would be more than happy if my children decided to choose this place for me! I am happy and more than willing to highly recommend this Care and Nursing Home. Thank you - to all of the staff!
My brother was in the nursing home. What a lovely place for him to have been in, in his final weeks. The staff are absolutely outstanding and very helpful in every possible way. The kindest, most caring and most attentive people you would ever want to look after your loved ones. The staff went out of their way and beyond anything expected for my brother, and also the management team were very helpful as well. I cannot thank you enough on behalf of our family, my sister and myself for your wonderful care to the end. Well done, Orangery Care Home! You will always come very highly recommended by us. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
My Mum was in Manor Place Nursing home. Wow, what a lovely place for her to have been. The staff are absolutely outstanding in every possible way. The most kind, caring attentive people you would ever want to look after your loved ones. They were also very attentive to my sister and myself in her last hours and after her passing. Well done Manor Place! You will always come highly recommended from me.
My mother has been in care at Manor House for the last three years with dementia and has received the finest of care and understanding due to her condition, she has had two falls one of which resulted in a fracture to her hip this was taken care of with the utmost speed and I'm glad to say she is walking around again. I cannot praise the staff highly enough they do a difficult job with a smile on their faces a job which I know I could not do. They organize the client's Christmas events and extra items which is not in their job description and all with a smile. Well done Manor House staff you make my mother's life that bit happier. Happy New Year to you all. Regards Alan
My mother has been very well looked after during her stay at Manor Place. Despite her difficulties with ill health, both physical and mental, she has been treated with dignity and respect at all times. The staff are cheerful, amazingly patient, and helpful. The management team are readily accessible and are always willing to talk about worries or concerns if they should arise. My mother's final days were handled with great care and sensitivity, both towards her and towards me and other family members. I felt that the staff were as upset as we were as they considered mum to be part of their family too. I am extremely grateful to the kind, caring manager and her amazing team.
My husband became unconscious 3 times during 25th July - October 2022. The first time he stopped breathing and if it wasn't for the exceptional staff I don't think he would have made it through. I was called in, the paramedics were on their way. When I arrived the medics told me that he would probably not pull through. However, when I spoke to my husband he came round and started to recover. I refused for him to be taken to hospital, as I knew he would have better care and be happier in Manor Place. The 2nd and 3rd times were not so severe, the staff were wonderful. I have nothing but praise for them.
This nursing home is excellent. The manager and her team make sure that residents are safe and secure. Activities are arranged for them and a special newspaper is published frequently with reminders of the past for elderly and not so elderly residents. I try and visit everyday and am always greeted by attentive and friendly staff. I enjoy sitting in the garden with my wife in the summer and in the spacious orangery in the winter. I am confident that my wife is being looked after properly and if any issues arise, then they are always addressed promptly by the management and/or the nursing staff. The carers are always polite, patient and cheerful. The staff/patient ratio is very good at this nursing home. A well run and happy home.
My mother is a resident at Manor Place since December 2021, she is well cared for and I am very happy with the way Manor Place is run. Lots of activities to stimulate residents and the Jubilee celebrations were excellent. The staff are very kind and patient with the residents, overall a very well-run nursing home.
The staff of Manor Place Nursing Home provided excellent care for my father during his 18-month stay. He was well cared for, given his special dietary needs - he was Celiac and also needed dairy free food. He also had other medical problems which were managed well under very difficult circumstances during the COVID epidemic. Good safety measures were taken. We were impressed by the care and attention of all the staff who looked after my dad.
Mum had lived at Manor Place since August 2019 until she died in March 2022. During that time she received the very best love and care that we could have wished for from all the staff. This continued during all the long months of COVID restrictions. We were so pleased we chose Manor Place for Mum's final years.
Whilst my father was only at the nursing home for a few weeks, he was treated with great care and dignity, as were us as a family. Everyone was very friendly and caring.
An excellent service provided by caring staff and management. Staff are always polite and friendly. Could not ask for a better home for my cousin.
There are not enough stimulation to help my husband interact. The residents are left on their own for too long. Not enough carers. Communication between staff and relatives is very poor.
The staff at Manor Place are very dedicated and diligent. They continually kept me up to date with my nan's progress both good and bad. It was a relief to be able to trust them with her care and to know she was safe with them.
My uncle moved into the care home in August 2020 in the midst of the Covid pandemic. Given the essential restrictions imposed by the pandemic through the intervening months, this could have been a very traumatic experience for my uncle. However, the professionalism and kindness of both the management and the staff has made the transition into care home life as smooth as I could have wished for. They invest a lot of time in stimulating social activities, which has further benefited my uncle through engagement with others. The management and nursing staff have fully engaged with me to ensure that I am informed of any planned actions regarding my uncle and have always been keen to listen to any suggestions that I may have had in support of my uncle's needs. Given the inevitable constraints that the pandemic has imposed, I consider this care home has achieved an excellent standard of support for the wellbeing of my uncle.
My mum had been a resident at Manor Place Nursing home since March 2019, the staff there are amazing and we were made to feel welcome whenever we visited her. She was very well looked after and the nurses and carers were fantastic along with all of the other staff. The food always looked lovely and they made her feel special on her birthdays and organised an anniversary celebration for my mum and dad. My children and I were always encouraged to join in with activities and we have many happy memories of playing bingo with the residents and joining in with their music sessions. Sadly, my mum passed away last month but was treated with the utmost respect and loving care and we were always kept informed of anything we needed to know. We will miss visiting Manor Place but will especially miss the lovely staff.
The success of a good nursing home is due to its staff, and Manor Place staff were superb for dignified and caring, specialist end of life care. Everyone that we spoke to in the team from the manager to the administrator, reception and the nurses were wonderful and friendly, and you could not ask for more. Concerns were dealt with promptly, discreetly and efficiently, and we were kept informed of health issues throughout the stay. The team coped admirably under huge pressure from the lockdown and Covid restrictions, and we have nothing but respect for everyone who works there. Visitors should not be put off by the old building which must create working difficulties. Having experienced (for another relative) 2 other nicer looking nursing homes which had better facilities, I can advise that you should look beyond the bricks and mortar, and focus on the loving and professional care provided by the fantastic team at Manor Place.
We are so grateful for the care given to my mother throughout her stay in Manor Place. We are now so full of respect for the work and skills involved in nursing and caring for us in our later years when our needs are so challenging and complex. The manager and her amazing team cared for Mum and kept her safe, even in the most difficult of times, always with compassion and good humour. We have always felt welcome and involved. Those friendly chats and warm smiles from everyone mean so much, we feel it was like being with family. Well done my friends. Thank you.
I am writing this review as my mother had been a resident at Manor Place since June 2015. She died on 22nd February 2020 aged 101. She was very well looked after. Since the beginning of February 2020 her health deteriorated rapidly and the staff were so good with her and always kept me informed. I am so grateful to them for their patience and care, and I thank them all for looking after Mum so well during her final days. I would certainly recommend Manor Place to anyone with a loved one needing care.
