View Full Details of Marlborough HouseI have visted many care homes over the years but never have I visited one like Marlborough House. A very dear friend of mine moved in around June this year and I visit him twice weekly. I have always found the staff very welcoming, immensely kind and considerate. They always greet me with a smile and from what I have observed, their care towards the residents is nothing short of beautiful. A gold star award to them all as far as I am concerned.
My mum was 98 and was taken unwell on 4th January 2024. She was admitted to a hospital then a different hospital and then to another care home for further rest during her stay at the home she developed delirium and the delirium team moved her to Marlborough House Church Crookham in about May. Her stop there was until her death on 15th July 2024. Omg her care at Marlborough House was exceptional even I couldn't have given my mum the love, attention, dignity and respect that all the staff there gave her from the top assistant manager to the cleaners. The nursing care team and carers are outstanding in their field. It is warm and welcoming and I can't express the thanks I have for each and every member of the team who cared for my mum. A special mention to one nurse in particular who had the upmost respect for my mum as she passed, that moment will stay in my heart forever.
My mum came to Marlborough House in March 2024. Her needs were complex, but I can not praise the entire team enough. The care is outstanding. Staff are friendly, approachable and nothing is too much trouble. They have looked after her with kindness and dignity. From management, admin, nurses, carers, kitchen staff, cleaners, laundry and maintenance - everyone made this move to a nursing home so much easier. I would definitely recommend.
We were very pleased that my sister was 'looked after' in Marlborough House, she was there for four years. We found the staff to be kind and considerate. Also, Marlborough House was one of the first to lockdown during Covid, so kept residents safe. So I would highly recommend this nursing home.
My mother has been a resident of Marlborough House for the past year, she has been happy and healthy in that time and we could not be happier with the way she is looked after. The staff have managed her dementia very well keeping her happy.
For three years you cared for my dear sister-in-law. Such a pleasant, hospitable, friendly, welcoming and caring home for her. You tick all the boxes. Over such a long period, you gave the loving care our family had struggled with! Thank you so, so much, you became her family for three years. We will never forget you all.
My mother has been a resident for five years now and I couldn’t ask for a more caring, home-from-home nursing home. My mother has dementia and is bedridden with special dietary requirements and I can honestly say she is so well looked after in every aspect of her needs, she has always been very happy. The staff are always on hand to answer any question and I’m kept updated about all her care needs. The nursing home has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere and nothing is any trouble for the staff.
My uncle has been here for over 2 and a half years. The home has improved so much since he first came here. The staff from cleaners, carers, receptionists, manager and cooks are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. My uncle is very happy here and I am glad we chose this home for him. If you have any concerns the manager is amazing and will always find the time. Excellent place.
I cannot fault the care and standard of dignity shown by the staff at Marlborough House towards my father in the 9 months he resided there. Everybody was kind, caring and helpful and the place had a homely feel about it which was one of the reasons why we chose it. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anybody thinking of taking up residence there.
I write to say my experience when visiting my dad. When you entered the home there would be a warm welcome from the receptionist to care, nurses domestic or even kitchen staff. The staff would always on a regular basis check on my dad. All the staff no matter who would look smart, clean and happy. I would recommend any of my family or friends to this home. Welcome to their continuous hard work. We were proud to send my dad there.
My father-in-law came to Marlborough House in February 2017 from hospital as it was no longer possible to care for him at home. The room was clean and bright and the management and staff were very welcoming to the family and himself. He took part in the activities on offer and was encouraged to socialise. Families are welcome to visit at any time and the staff always took the time to speak to us. As his condition deteriorated, he was treated with love and dignity and the staff were always on hand. The nursing staff were exceptional and vigilant, nipping everything in the bud and preventing any more trips into hospital. We are very grateful for everything they did.
My husband was a resident at the above home for 9 months until his death in November 2017. We as a family, found the home excellent in every way - the staff were lovely. We could not find any fault with my husbands care. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursing home.
My mother came into Marlborough 5 and a half years ago. Whilst at Marlborough, my mother was extremely happy and well looked after. She so enjoyed the activities and the socialising with the other residents. in the latter year my mother became unwell and the staff were so kind and managed to look after her with dignity. I would like to say that myself and family were always made to feel at home and nothing was too much trouble.
My mother is well looked after with all her needs being met. Nursing staff always let me know if there are any medical issues. Her room and facilities are excellent. The home always involve my mother in activities.
All staff are very friendly and caring and have always time for a little chat. Everywhere is always very clean and warm.
I am very happy here. I have got a lovely room.
My mother has been at Marlborough House for 7 months now. I have found the care she receives is excellent; the staff are always very caring and treat her with respect. Marlborough House is a home from home for her. They provide a wide range activities for the residents to take part in, which is very important. I would recommend Marlborough House as a wonderful place for anyone needing that special care at any point in their lives.
My brother was transferred to Marlborough House from hospital in June 2015, after suffering a fall at his previous sheltered housing. Given his challenging behaviour and communication difficulties I was content with the care he received from the nursing and care staff at Marlborough House. He died in February 2017 after having refused food and drink for the last 2 weeks of his life. A bit disappointing that nobody from Marlborough House attended his funeral.
Our 94-year-old friend was transferred from Frimley Park Hospital in May 2015. At that time she was having difficulty communicating, could not feed herself and in a frustrated and depressed condition. We have been very impressed with her transformation achieved by the staff at Marlborough. She is now always cleanly presented, able to feed herself and enjoys participating in the excellent range of activities. Her previous homes were unaware that she was hoarding her medication which is now properly controlled and has in fact been reduced. There is always a happy atmosphere and the staff make time to engage with her and with us when we visit. Now 96 she enjoyed her birthday party last month and is now more settled than in the last 20 years elsewhere in residential care. Our visits are a pleasure, not a burden, and we have no hesitation in recommending this nursing home.
I will say reasonable. General service is reasonable. Food and atmosphere is acceptable. I do not have any hard criticism of the place.
