View Full Details of Ranvilles Nursing HomeExcellence in every aspect of care. This is a home with staff that are superbly trained, compassionate and determined to make the time residents spend in the home happy, safe and enriching. My mum was so lucky to have found Ranvilles for the very last two years of her life. Her complex health needs were met by every member of staff from RGN through to ancillary and administrative staff. She was able to live fully through the wonderful programme of activities, particularly the craft sessions. Staff focused on what she could do and built a programme around her personally. Having spent the last week with my mum as she slipped away, I can say with certainty that every aspect of the care patients received is careful, attentive, provided with dignity and absolute professionalism. This home is is an absolute credit to the care system - my family will never be able to thank you enough for all that you did for my mum.
My husband was discharged to Ranvilles Nursing Home in October 2024 where he had 24 hour one to one care. He was looked after very well by everyone that worked at Ranvilles. Everyone had a smile and a kind word for him and would do everything they could to help him eat and drink which was a huge challenge for them. The family cannot thank Ranvilles enough for all their support not only for my husband but also us as a family. They kept us informed at all times and we cannot fault them at all just thank them 100%
Lovely visit today. Very caring attentive staff. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Very clean and comfortable surroundings. Each resident's needs are met in so many different ways to ensure their well-being.
Satisfactory care. Helpful staff and nice premises and garden. Some staff interaction with my husband could be better but overall good. It is small things that concern me, like keep asking to have his nails cut and cleaned, so often they are dirty! Making sure he has a drink, often he is thirsty when I visit. I accept he can be challenging at times.
My husband has been a resident at Ranvilles for 6 years. In all that time, the staff have always shown to be kind and caring. The difficult area of personal care is done with dignity and compassion for the residents. Staff always talk to you and help and understand, not just the resident but also for the family member. My husband can not speak but he knows and trusts the carers, often smiling at them. Thank you Ranvilles for all you have done for both of us.
My wife suffers from severe Alzheimer's and is unable to communicate in any form. She has been a resident at Ranvilles Nursing Home since February 2022. The care and attention she receives from the staff is excellent.
Very good service by all the staff.
My husband has been a resident in Ranvilles since just before Covid lockdown so we have experienced a range of different situations. He has dementia which means his behaviour can be difficult. The staff at Ranvilles do really have a good understanding of how to help and care for residents who can become extremely distressed. They have nursed him through a number of medical emergencies so well that I definitely think he survived because of their care. The home has a good relationship with the local GP practice and I am regularly updated. There are daily activities which everyone is encouraged to try in whatever way they can and photos are regularly posted on social media. There is a choice of meals which are plentiful and healthy. Whenever I visit I am always greeted by name and made to feel welcome. If you are seeking care for your loved one visit the home and see the work they do. They will welcome you and answer any questions.
In May 2024 I received a missed call from an unknown number and later saw an email from Ranvilles asking me to make contact. When I called I spoke with a member of staff who very casually told me my Dad had passed away that morning, she was very reluctant to give her name (I had to ask her 6/7 times). Then she asked about my Mum who passed away 18 months ago - why? I was distressed at the news of my Dad was delivered so casually and the odd question about my Mum. She said they had been trying to contact me all day (one unknown call and one email). I switched into a professional mode to protect myself and gave Dad's name and date of birth and asked her to please check again. After a few seconds she again very casually said "Yes, he passed away this morning". I had no idea of the circumstances of how Dad died or whether to cascade unreliable info to the wider family. Very distressing interaction with this staff member, I was shocked at the lack of professionalism.
All the staff were amazing with my uncle during his stay, unfortunately, he died, even then the staff were great with him and myself, can’t praise them enough. Thank you to everyone involved in his care.
My father has advanced Alzheimer's, and his needs are very complex, which his previous home could not manage, Since February 2023, Dad has been cared for at Ranvilles. He is non-mobile, doubly incontinent and can become very agitated and aggressive due to his illness. The level of care he receives is impeccable. All staff are kind, caring, alongside respectful, understanding and professional. They have given us peace, knowing Dad couldn't be better cared for. Thank you.
Love that Mum is in here, she has dementia and is very well cared for. The staff are careful with her and friendly. I love the cleanliness and also the room she is in. They have lots of activities and they keep her as busy as she can be.
My father was cared hurt for here for two months when his condition deteriorated so much that he needed nursing care. He was well looked after and the staff were considerate and caring. It was clearly a well run home and with excellent nurses managing all care. The home came into its own in the final days of my father's life. All the staff was so understanding and nothing was too difficult. The nurses explained everything and were outstanding in a difficult situation. They were supported by all the other staff to make my dad's passing a calm and peaceful end.
My father moved into Ranvilles from another care home which could no longer meet his needs. I am so happy with the care that Dad now receives. Each and every one of the nurses and care staff are really making the home a lovely place, full of love, and making Dad feel as settled and loved as possible. Nothing is ever too much trouble for all the staff and we are always made to feel welcome and comfortable every time we go to visit him. I can leave Dad after each visit with much more ease, feeling safe in the fact that he will be really well looked after 24/7. Cannot fault the home and so happy Dad is settled thanks to all the wonderful people who work there.
My brother passed away suddenly in March 2023 having moved into Ranvilles Nursing Home in May 2017. He was one of their most challenging residents who took a long time to settle. The manager and staff never gave up on him, working hard to establish relationships with him. It wasn't an easy time for us, as a family, but the amazing staff just kept going with him. Different staff helped him enjoy his love of rock music together with his sporting interests including rugby and football. Ranvilles was the only nursing home that was prepared to accept him as a resident and I realise now how lucky we were. Life seems strange without my brother but it also is strange no longer being part of the Ranvilles family. I miss the weekly update telephone call and talking to all the staff who really take the time to get to know you. Thank you all again for everything each and every one of you did for the last six years.
My husband has been at Ranvilles for nearly four years. From day one, the staff have always been friendly and helpful. They understand how to deal with each of the residents, always maintaining their well-being and dignity. I will never be able to thank them enough for everything they have done for me and, most of all, for my dearest husband.
I have been at Ranvilles just over 5 months, very helpful and supportive team in all aspects. I didn't know how long I would be here for but the home has ensured that I have had the support to rehabilitate me to allow me to go home. Very well mannered to all my visitors. I will greatly miss the team at Ranvilles.
Every time I have been to Ranvilles my brother is always well cared for. The staff have all the time and patience and so relaxed and so patient with him. All staff have a kind welcoming manner.
I am totally satisfied with the care and attention my husband receives; but also the support and help that is given to me. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful and I know how much my husband appreciates the staff. They keep me informed about his health and welfare at all times. I think it is a well run home and is excellent in everything they do.
Ranvilles Nursing Home did a wonderful job of looking after my dad and his complex needs. Incredibly patient, caring and polite staff even though often very busy. Can't thank them enough. My dad would still be at Ranvilles if they weren't so far from where we live. Hoping my dad's new care home is as wonderful as Ranvilles. Thank you everyone at Ranvilles for your great care.
