View Full Details of Beechcroft Green Nursing HomeMum has Alzheimer's and has been living at the home for 6 weeks. Every time I go in, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Mum seems very happy to be there, which is a relief to me after a horrendous 2 years of her living alone and mum not being able to cope but in denial of course! The food always seems to be good too and mum has a lovely room over looking the garden.
My husband has been in Beechcroft Green Nursing Home since early October and he has had the most amazing care. I visit every day and all the staff make me so welcome. Everyone is kind and caring and I leave knowing my husband is getting the best care possible, I go home rest assured that he is in good hands.
The staff are 100% good and caring. The conditions of rooms and maintenance are poor, it took six months for my mother's window to be fixed as cold air was coming in. A roof leak stain has never been painted and the carpets need to be replaced with vinyl for hygiene. The food is average.
On transfer from the hospital, everything was ready for Mum. The home made sure she was settled and comfortable and talked to us about her likes and dislikes along with any additional information we could provide. The care she is receiving is exceptional, provided by well-trained staff who are caring and knowledgeable. They treat her as if she was their Mum, respect her views and a hug if she wants a hug. The chefs are on hand and provide well presented and nutritious food and will prepare something if a resident does not want dinner, but does later.
The fulltime staff on weekdays are very good but things are not so good at weekends with agency persons. "Cleanliness" standard needs to be looked at in rooms, needs deep clean as food and drinks dropped on chairs/floors/tables etc. Placemats in the dining room are well worn, need new ones, are they cleaned? Lift doors.
Very good all round. Very friendly staff. Very helpful. Caring.
We found the staff most friendly, helpful and professional not to mention chatty which is a welcome distraction. The food is tasty and varied although at times it could be hotter especially the toast and at times the tea.
My wife has dementia and osteoporosis. She is treated excellently by a friendly, caring staff. They check on her every time they walk past. They talk and smile all the time and brief me every day I go to visit her. She has 24-hour care and treatment, superb.
I cannot fault Beechcroft Green. It is ably led by the 'top three'. All of the staff will go that extra, as the morale is high. Very efficient and caring. For example, my wife's birthday was yesterday, the room was decorated and all staff present gave her cards and a cake. It meant a lot to me.
This is a nice nursing home with a friendly and homely atmosphere. The staff are kind and well trained. My father has been there for nearly two and a half years now and we have always been happy with our choice of home.
