View Full Details of Windyridge Care HomeThere is always a warm welcome at Windyridge. My husband is usually busy doing activities. The food always looks lovely and he looks well fed. His clothes are always clean and he is well looked after. The home is clean and well-presented.
My sister has been here for 5 years. During that time my sister has been very happy. The staff are so caring and have a very homely atmosphere. I would recommend it to other people.
My wife has been at Windyridge for almost two years. Despite her not being able to talk and having to have everything done for her, I can tell that she is content at Windyridge. She loves the staff there and is constantly smiling at them. I feel that the staff also love her. Although she can't take part in activities, she isn't neglected in that area.
Life has been a rollercoaster since dad was diagnosed with dementia. Following a long stay in hospital and different care homes, we found Windy Ridge. The last year of dad’s life was a happy one. He was well-fed, loved singing and dancing and the care he received was phenomenal. Unlike other homes, this is like a family. If you are looking for a care home, look no further. Windy Ridge deserves every one of its 5-star reviews.
The team have been amazing with mum, who is very difficult, plus a danger to herself. Have nothing but praise for the patience and staff.
The staff are so caring to my partner and also me when I visit every Thursday. They also take time to email me pictures of my partner doing activities. They always have a smile on their faces. Well done Windyridge Care Home and thank you.
My husband has advanced Alzheimer's disease and he requires vigilant care and nursing, all of which are very well provided at Windyridge Care Home. Visiting is very restricted due to continuing Covid concerns, which is understandable but difficult for close family.
My son moved into Windyridge Care Home during Covid-19. We have limited access to the home, mostly in his room. It is clean and tidy and my son is well cared for. Some of the options we are unable to comment upon, but overall what we have seen we deem as excellent.
During my dad's brief stay at Windyridge, after spending months in and out of Hospital, the staff and manager at Windyridge were exceptional and caring beyond all means. We stayed with my dad for his last few days at the care home and the staff were not just caring and professional for my dad but to us as family staying with him night and day and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Dad's final days, although brief, were made better for his stay at Windyridge and we as a family were able to stay with him for his last moments which we will treasure forever, thanks to the kindness and care of the staff. They deserve so much and I would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
During a difficult time, going through the COVID 19 pandemic, I have been unable to visit my husband, sadly. Therefore, I have had to entrust his care to the care home which I have done wholeheartedly. My thanks to all the staff and management.
The caring for everyone is so very homely (excellent).
My mother has been a resident at Windyridge Care Home for nearly three years, following the death of my father. Due to her advanced dementia, she could no longer be cared for at home and so a 'best interests' decision was taken to move her into a nursing home. I can honestly say that it has been such a blessing for her to have been welcomed into Windyridge and I would like to express my thanks and gratitude for the excellent care and kindness that she has been shown since arriving. Nothing is too much trouble for the manager and her team who always show so much compassion to residents, family and friends alike.
You can visit this home at any time and will always be greeted warmly by any member of staff. My disabled late husband had severe dementia when admitted. His room was excellent and his care was superb at all times. I was with him throughout the night of his death and witnessed the end of life care for him and also the support for me throughout. I have lived in many parts of North Midlands and South of England but have never witnessed such loving excellent care. I now have my long life friend with dementia.
Your manageress and the rest of her team are brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them. Everything is done with a smile. My husband and I and the rest of my family are an extension to where he lives
