View Full Details of Bluebell Nursing HomeMy mother had been in Bluebell Nursing Home for fourteen months. She has been bedbound for all that time but always seemed happy and well looked after during all that time. Sadly, she passed away this week but her passing was dignified and the staff took great care of her during her last days. We were always informed of changes in her health and involved if any interventions were needed. We felt she was genuinely cared for.
My husband has recently been moved to Bluebell Nursing Home. I cannot fault anything about it and staff are so caring with him and he is very happy there.
My mum is very settled here. The staff are very caring and the standard of care excellent. I cannot find fault.
My husband moved into Bluebell Nursing Home in April after 9 weeks in hospital because needed nursing care. He has Alzheimer's and other health problems. I was made welcome and told to treat it like home. He is always treated with love and respect by carers. They are always friendly to me, I spend 5-6 hours a day with my husband. The staff are always busy having a large number of residents each to deal with personal care/ bed changing etc. A lot of residents, like my husband are bed bound. I have had concerns sometimes about the time it takes to answer buzzers - and feel there should be more looking in on patients, other than meals and pad changing. On the whole I am pleased and he is being looked after, something I couldn't have managed at home.
My mum moved into Bluebell Nursing Home in 2023 and it has a lovely environment and caring staff. Mum was poorly when she arrived and was diagnosed with vascular dementia, with the support and care that she receives at Bluebell, she has become more mobile and definitely happier. My worries and concerns have been taken care of because of the excellent care and professional approach by all of the staff at the home. Nursing, care, management, catering, cleaning and Mum definitely enjoys her weekly hair appointment. Thank you Bluebell, you are all stars to me.
The staff are friendly and caring. My Mother-in-law says the food is plentiful and very good as they try to cater to her requests. The room is nice with a large window giving lots of light. I believe there are activities for the residents which unfortunately my Mother-in-law cannot join in with as she is bedridden and unable to go downstairs. Would be nice for her if activities could be provided in her room. More channels on the TV would be nice.
My mother stayed at the Bluebell Nursing Home and she was very well loved and cared for by all the staff. The staff would get her up and take her to the lounge and to the garden when the weather was nice, she was always smiling from ear to ear. The Bluebell became another home to me and my family. In the end stages of mums life, the care staff were exemplary with her care. It's a 5 stars for Bluebell.
All the staff at Bluebell Nursing Home are amazing. They go above and beyond their job role! They involve us with everything that goes on at the home and keep us well-informed on everything. It's so homely because the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The care they provide is outstanding. Five stars do not seem enough.
Mum is well looked after. She loves the food and is always given a choice, and nothing is too much trouble for the chef. There are some outstanding carers here who go over and above as they know Mum likes company in her room and they like to keep her happy. Any issues that have arisen have always been addressed immediately.
Bluebell are magnificent. For someone recovering from sepsis, a heart attack, pneumonia and Covid, things for me were not looking good. It's because of the kindness and professionalism of the staff at Bluebell that I made such an extraordinary recovery. I will be forever grateful for all their hard work. I will be moving to supported living following my long stay here, but I will miss them very much. Thank you, Bluebell.
My aunt is in Bluebell Nursing Home and I have found the staff to be very good at their jobs. They are both caring and attentive towards the patients and very professional at their jobs. I am happy that her needs are being taken care of.
My beloved Nan was looked after by the wonderful staff at Bluebell. They showed love, care and attention to detail, especially in her last days. I'll forever be grateful for that and the support they showed me.
My beautiful grandad spent the last 11 weeks of his life in the comforts of Bluebell and we could not be happier with the service given. Upon viewing the home, I and my nan loved the home from home feel, and the room on offer was beautiful. The day and night care staff, matron and nurses were so accommodating at all times especially in the days leading to my grandfathers sad passing, ensuring we always felt comfortable and offered refreshments often, and all staff answered any questions we had with confidence. My grandad was moved into the home on his birthday and the staff were so amazing, allowing us to come in to see him and the chef even made him a special cake! The food was always top-notch produced fresh on-site, filling the home with the lovely aroma, and always looked so filling/appetising. My grandad always looked so well kept and cared for in the time he was there. Thank you to you all for looking after my grandad so well.. xx
My mum was moved from being in hospital really poorly for 5 months into Bluebell Nursing Home In Dec 2019, we visited other homes and was not prepared to move our mum just anywhere, when viewing Bluebell we knew instantly that it was a lovely run home. Mum moved in bed-bound with complex needs of mental health problems. She completely changed for the better living there, had never seen her so happy or contented for years after suffering terrible anxiety she just relaxed and enjoyed it, she loved all the staff who are all excellent!!! I and my sister loved visiting her and seeing her soo happy. Then lockdown hit but we never ever worried about her, they kept us informed of everything and had weekly video calls with mum even when she became really poorly and probably could have gone into hospital, we decided we wanted her to stay where she felt safe and secure with staff who she knew and knew her character best, at end of life we all came said goodbye .. amazing care home
My grandmother was at Bluebell for just over a month. She received wonderful care and enjoyed the food and activities on offer. All the staff I came into contact with when visiting were lovely and showed care and warmth to my nan.
My husband spent his last 6 months at this wonderful home. There are no adequate words to express my thanks to them. Their love, devotion, respect and understanding is quite outstanding. He had a rare dementia that robbed him of almost everything, including his ability to speak but they understood him and made him smile. I was with him as he died and I can honestly say he could not have been more peaceful. You will ever be in my heart and prayers Bluebell. Thank you always.
Very caring, helpful staff. Very very happy that my brother was accepted here all the family are very relieved that he's here.
The staff of the nursing home are really kind and caring, I could not wish for more from them all. All the care staff to my mind went to extreme lengths to care for my auntie, sitting with her holding her hand to reassure her and calm her. I would go to see her and most times there was always someone sitting and talking to her, including the cleaning staff who would bring in cakes. I could go on the most excellent place to be.
Mum has been at Bluebell now since May 2016. When she arrived, she was quite poorly, but with the expert care provided she picked up and her quality of life improved immeasurably. Staffing levels are good and many staff have worked there for years. Mum has enjoyed the wonderful, varied, social aspects of life Bluebell provide and even though she is bed-bound most of the time now, any entertainment tailored to her interests she might enjoy, comes to her. All staff are friendly and professional and all know the residents personally in their care really well and keep you well informed. The food is also very appetising and the home is clean and welcoming, regardless of whenever you turn up to visit. It really does feel like one big happy family, one in which you are encouraged to be a part of. All these factors are very reassuring, particularly during the pandemic, when unable to visit. It's lovely to know Mum’s in such good hands and in the best possible place, as a resident at Bluebell.
My beloved 95-year-old aunt had been admitted to hospital with a broken ankle, sadly her health declined and she was moved to Bluebell. I was apprehensive as she had always been independently living at home, now things had to change. The staff were wonderfully led by the manager, I came to have every confidence in them to nurse and take care of her. The staff were supportive of me to which I have been very grateful in these challenging times. Yes, it is a warm friendly loving friendly home, and I would recommend it.
