View Full Details of St Ronans Nursing & Residential Care HomeIn the years that Mum has been resident at St James we as a family are delighted at the care and consideration she has received. Given that Mum was admitted 3 years ago for end-of-life care, it is testament to the care she has received that she is still enjoying as good a quality of life as is possible given her age and underlying health conditions. One of the most noticeable indicators is the rapport she has with the staff and the obvious affection she displays for them.
My mother had exceptional care from all of the team at St Ronan's Care Home.
My mum passed away with you yesterday and I would just like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the most fantastic love and care you showed her and my husband and I throughout the 21 months she was with you. Thank you doesn't seem anywhere near enough, but thank you! For giving her dignity, peace and a beautiful passing. My love and respect to you all always.
A thoroughly professional run care home, providing personally tailored attention to individuals' needs. The staff cannot seem to do enough for the patients and is led by a dedicated management team. Recommended to anyone who finds themselves in the position of needing to find such facilities.
Can't really fault the place, standard of care, and highly recommended. They take care of both my parents, and from day one, have bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. You've certainly taken a load off my and my sibling's shoulders.
Lovely friendly home. Incredibly caring, helpful staff, Great activities for residents. Home is always clean and tidy. Menu always has a good choice of meals. Nice lounges. Supporting of residents.
The staff have been absolutely amazing with my nan; she’s been a bit wobbly on her feet (as expected, she’s 90 and very stubborn!) The way we are treated as a family is absolutely unbelievable. You are treated as part of the St Ronans family, and the care my nan receives is absolutely outstanding. I can’t thank the managers enough for everything they do for my nan! From the manager to everyone else, thank you guys so much for making my nan safe, happy and loved.
Since my husband has been at St Ronans, the whole team have been very welcoming and caring towards myself and my husband. We are kept up to date on all care needs and changes during the Covid pandemic. Seeing pictures on Facebook gives us an insight into home life and the activities that are provided.
We would like to thank all the staff for the care given to her over the last few months. Following a fall and admission to the hospital, she needed to be transferred to somewhere that could provide for her extensive needs. She certainly has landed in a care home that provides the very best, sympathetic, loving care they can offer. The staff are always putting us at ease knowing she is well cared for. Thank you.
The staff are lovely, and the care is really good; I can’t fault them at all. Mum seems happy and settled and doesn’t want to leave. The staff ensure she is always comfortable and see to her every need.
My dear wife was a resident for just over two years. Sadly she has just passed away, and although I have favourable reviewed St Ronans in the past, I am compelled to submit another, I am impressed with the care given to her in her final hours. Also because of the way the staff there have responded to the challenges facing them by the impact of Covid-19. Thankfully my wife did not suffer from the virus, but the professionalism balanced by the empathy shown me on her last day has rendered me forever grateful. During her stay, I have forged friendships that will last and gained an admiration for those who work in this neglected sector that will likewise endure the test of time. Were there some small hiccups along the way, of course, there were, but always the staff were receptive and welcoming, little issues solved - the true test of a well-run ship. I am and will continue to be a friend of the home and support the incredible staff, whatever the colour of their uniform.
Brilliant, friendly and helpful staff here always.
A faultless provision of kindness, care and compassion. All staff are exceptional and hard working. Much laughter is heard when visiting from both residents and staff. I never wanted my mother to leave her home for a nursing home but as I have m.s. I was unable to care for her myself. My partner and I retired after 50 years of qualified nursing experience between us. Highly rated nursing home.
My husband has been in St Ronans since December 2017. We have found the staff to be caring, kind and helpful, without exception. As my husband's condition has deteriorated they have been very accommodating about our large family's frequent visits, supplying tea, coffee and biscuits.
Our dear mum/grandma spent two years within this amazing environment. She was loved/nurtured and cared for in a homely supportive place which felt like part of an extended family. Such a precious place for mum with exceptional people working there.
