View Full Details of St Anne's Nursing HomeAs a family our experience of St Anne's Nursing Home was very good. Every single member of staff we encountered from the first moment we walked in the door was kind, helpful and polite. My Dad was extremely well cared for during his time at St Anne's with all his care needs being met in a caring, professional manner along with him being treated with dignity and respect. The home is very clean which is a testament to how hard the cleaning staff constantly work. The nurses and carers were always on hand to give feedback and answer questions both in person and over the phone. The kindness and compassion Dad was shown in his final days and care given to us as a family was exemplary. We feel very blessed and take a great amount of comfort from knowing my Dad was being cared for in such a good nursing home in what we knew were going to be the last weeks of his life.
No proper assessments was done on although he is terminally ill. No care plan in place for the whole 4-6 weeks of him being there. No palliative care nurse had bothered to visit him and assess him in all the time that he was in there. It took her 4 weeks to sort out an assessment. I would have thought that it is a primary protocol as a palliative care nurse to assess a terminally ill patient/resident. We have asked on a number of occasions for them to organise a dentist referral as he has a broken tooth and nothing was ever done about it. We have spoken on many occasions to the various management members at the care home telling them that he needs assistance to get up or sit up properly when consuming food but every day that we visited he was laid in bed and he couldn't eat properly, his positioning was resulting in him choking on his food but also he was struggling to feed himself and no one at the care home was helping him. Never topping up jugs of water.
I was most impressed with St Anne's Care Home from the moment my father was transferred from hospital. Although he only spent the last five days of his life there, he receives the very best of care, St Anne's feels more like a hotel than than a nursing home. It was obvious to me that Dad was under constant monitoring and personal care, which made things all the more easy. I shall always be grateful to all the staff.
All the carers are friendly and good.
Mum was transferred following quite a lengthy stay in hospital. The first thing my brother and I noticed when visiting the home prior to Mum's transfer was the cleanliness of the home, the happy atmosphere and friendliness of all staff. Since her arrival in December, Mum has been very well looked after and the quality of care is exceptionally good. Carers are very polite and able to cater to her needs. If we have any concerns there is always someone to talk to. Mum is very clean and it's lovely that there is a laundry on-site providing a daily laundry service. I understand the food is good and varied and she has begun to put weight on. We cannot thank the staff enough for all the care and attention they are giving to Mum. It is such a relief to us to know that she is being well looked after in a kind, safe environment. We would not hesitate to recommend St. Anne's to anyone who is considering a nursing home for the next stages of care for their loved ones.
Caring, clean, Good atmosphere. Everyone always seems happy. We like that everyone knows mum's name and that they take the time to talk to her when passing. Marked food and drink down 1 star. Very happy with everything for mum although a coffee machine for visitors would be nice.
Very happy with the care home. Mum is well looked after, quality of care is good. Carers are very polite and able to cater to Mum's needs. She is very clean and laundry is done daily. Food is good and varied. Birthdays and celebrations are cheerful and celebrated. Mum is now settled and when upset staff are able to comfort her. Any problems or concerns are dealt with quickly by management. The new activity coordinator is brilliant and has made a big difference to the daily routine of the residents.
My husband has been a resident since January 2023. I didn't want to see him go to live in a nursing home, even though I knew it was in his best interests. I have not looked back. He gets on well with all the staff and he certainly gives them the runaround. The care shown not only to him but also myself by all staff is exemplary - nothing is too much trouble for them. If he asks/wants anything the staff always do their best to 'come up with the goods'. The welcoming is always warm and friendly. I would not hesitate in recommending St Anne's to anyone. This is by far the best place for him. Thank you.
My overall experience is very good. All staff are very helpful and friendly. My husband is quite settled there now and is reasonably happy. He gets on well with all the staff - he enjoys banter with them. The food has improved recently, and he enjoys most meals. If there are any problems with his well-being, there is always someone to talk to, and things get resolved. I would recommend this nursing home to family and friends.
My mother has been a resident for two years, and l can honestly say she is well looked after both physically and emotionally. l am sure she makes the staff at all levels earn their salaries as one would expect from a lady of a certain standing. What is reassuring is the number of staff who were there when my mother arrived is still there. Thank you!
St Anne’s provides my Mum with excellent care. The manageress and her team are very approachable and try their best to meet my Mum’s complex needs both physically and emotionally. They patiently listen if I have any concerns and make changes if required. My Mum always looks well cared for and is encouraged to make her own choices as far as possible. Her needs for special nutrition, support with hydration and medication are well monitored. Her clothes are regularly laundered and her bedding always looks fresh and clean. The carers are kind, thoughtful and smiley. My Mum appreciates their little chats and encouragements. All areas of the home are kept clean and fresh. Mum is encouraged to socialise in the dining room and shared areas. These are the most important things to me.
My dad has been a resident of St Anne's for just over two years now, after a couple of falls at our family home and a hospital stay meant he could sadly no longer live at home. From the start, the staff have been very caring and sympathetic to not only the needs of my dad, but also to us as a family as well. From the staff on the reception to the cleaning staff, I have always found each member of staff to be helpful and always been greeted with a smile. The home itself is clean and well looked after, with decorations being put up to celebrate different occasions during the year. I haven't been there when food has been served, but I have been present when Dad has been given his choices for the meals ahead and there is a good choice of food. The garden is lovely to sit out in and chat when the weather is good. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend St Anne's to anyone who has to make the decision to go into a nursing home.
Since my uncle has been at St Anne’s Nursing Home he has been well cared for by all the staff who treat him with respect at all times. The staff always discuss with me any changes to his care and medication. He has never eaten so well! His dementia is getting worse, but the caring staff are very patient and kind to him. He told me that he is with friends and feels safe! I have seen the carers laugh with him and treat him as a friend, not just a resident. Thank you.
I am always very pleased with the whole staff performance. They are always so friendly and helpful, they always are so helpful and seem like they cannot do enough for my father-in-law and also the whole family. I feel I can depend on them them for information at any time, day or night. They are also on the end of a phone whenever I need them, I know the care and attention the whole staff give my father-in-law is second to none.
Since my mother moved to St Anne's in March she has been well looked after and treated with kindness and consideration. I have met quite a few staff members over the months and they have all been very friendly and seem interested in all residents and their family and friends.
I think my uncle is in a very good place, he is happy, he looks good, he is always smiling, he likes the staff and I feel at home there. Even though I don't speak it, there are staff there who speak Polish and that's why he feels good there.
We are very happy with the care and support being given to my sister. The home is very welcoming very clean, and will answer any questions or queries. They are very approachable nurses and are very good at giving information when asked. The kitchen staff is great at accepting special food when we bring it in for her.
