View Full Details of Northlands House Care HomeI enjoy activities but I don't get offered alternative meals when I don't like the menu (sometimes they are too busy to get an alternative like jacket potato or have run out). There are not enough staff, which means that I have to wait a long time when I use my bell to go to the toilet. The staff who are here are very nice.
I've been resident here since November 2023 and I've noticed that the service has reduced in quality, which is rather disappointing. Over Christmas, the food has not been as good as previously and in general also.
I am very happy here. No responsibilities, everything is done for me. I would be very pleased to live here for another five years - even more, health allowing! I have particularly enjoyed being able to get to church on a Sunday morning.
Because I now have to be in a wheelchair most of the time, I have been here for nearly three years. I particularly enjoy the activities provided for us. My favourites are the word puzzles that we are able to do on a large computer screen so we can all join in. We have visiting musicians and singers, exercise groups, and go in the garden when possible. In recent weeks we were taken to a local garden centre, which had a Wonderland walk displaying every aspect of Christmas and winter that you could think of. Earlier in the year we were taken on a boat adapted for a wheelchair and went around Southampton water. Other groups went on other outings. They treat us well.
My mum has been a resident since June this year after being in hospital for 5 months. She has been well looked after and has made lots of friends. She enjoys the activities and being sociable. It has given me peace of mind knowing she is looked after and is happy.
Good clean home from home. All the staff are friendly and professional. Mum is well looked after. The care, food, and rooms are lovely.
Northlands House is a very welcoming and well-kept home, with friendly and helpful staff and residents. It is a pleasure to be around the home and the residents are happy and proud to be a part of Northlands House.
I have been a resident since June 2024 and I have everything I need here to live comfortably. There is a good range of activities that I can go to if I choose. I have made friends and feel happy here.
My experience of Nolan's house is very good, care is excellent, all done in a professional way. Everyone is kind and considerate towards me.
Dad is very happy with the care he is getting. There are some very caring staff that treat Dad with dignity. Dad very much enjoys some of the entertainment, especially the singing and music. The local film production went down very well with him.
In the last 4 years, I have been to 4 hospitals and 5 care homes. This is by far the best, need I say more.
Not much I can say, just a home full of Angels, all staff are very caring.
Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The home is very well-maintained and a pleasure to be here.
I am very happy, everybody has been so kind to me. I had a very good time here. Lots of things going on and keep me busy. I would say it's first-class.
Everyone here is so lovely, such a friendly place, have no negatives. The staff are funny and very chatty.
Very friendly staff, always feel welcome when I come to visit my dad. The residents are lovely and friendly. The house is beautiful and Dad loves going in the garden. I hope he enjoys his stay here. Thank you for making him feel welcome.
Excellent staff, excellent facility, I was happy to see everyone engaging in different activities and the staff working to make this a relaxing area and stress-free. It was lovely to see not only the carers but the management getting involved whenever I visit. My mum loves it there and knows everyone's name and tells me what they are good at and what they do.
Excellent staff everywhere.
I am a friend of a resident from Church, we are a church family, so the wellbeing of my friend is very important to me. I visit many times a week and overall I find every member of staff I meet friendly and the care I have witnessed my friend receiving has been compassionate, kind, gentle, very caring and encouraging. Sadly my friend doesn’t want to live anymore and therefore doesn’t access any of the activities/services etc. so can’t comment on such specific details. Thank you.
Always treated with friendliness by all staff who do all they can to help.
