I cannot thank the management and the staff enough for the care and thought they give to my mother. They work as a team. Each working to give comfort and assistance as required. We are consulted at all times. Activities, birthdays and other interests are always available. The food and drinks trolley is always there for the asking. Meals alwas presented nicely and staff on hand to help when needed. Cleanliness cannot be faulted. Laundry up to date. The maintenance attended to at all times. He also interacts with the residents with a great sense of humour. To each and every one my sister and I thank you. The concern, respect and dignity you show our mum and us is worth so much.
We are constantly amazed with the total care, your very caring staff offer on a daily basis. The whole team from hairdresser, housekeepers, kitchen staff, reception, even maintenance man!. They all offered my sister and me such care when our mum had a turn for the worst. Thankfully she came through but we were surrounded with extreme professional advice and kindness. It helped our situation 100%. Collectively the team are the true definition of the word CARE. Thank you.
My Mother has been at Wilton Manor for over two years and has been looked after very well. The staff are very caring and level-headed and are skilled at managing the difficulties inherent to working with older people with dementia. The home is a friendly, caring environment, and staff and residents communicate well with each other. I would recommend Wilton Manor and am pleased to have found it.
Our friend has been a resident at Wilton Manor Care Home for two years. The staff went to great lengths to help her settle. Her wellbeing greatly improved due to the care she received. We have been pleased with not only how her needs have been provided for but also the good relationships with staff. We have also been pleased with the guidance we have received from management.
I would definitely recommend this care home. It has a wonderful family atmosphere and all the staff are kind and caring. They all look after Mum so well and completely understand her care needs, as well as her likes and dislikes. Mum was in hospital recently and the Care Home Manager was instrumental in enabling Mum to come back to the care home, sooner than would otherwise have happened. She liaised with her staff, the hospital and me to enable this to happen. This meant Mum didn't have to spend longer in hospital than was necessary. I was so relieved and grateful that Mum was able to return to her 'home'. All the staff work tirelessly to ensure Mum is looked after and cared for and can join in with the numerous activities if she wishes to. The wonderful staff always keep me informed about Mum and they always have time for a chat when we visit her.
Wilton Manor, what a wonderful care home. My mother was a resident here for a couple of months for end-of-life care. From day one each and every member of staff I spoke with were so caring and at the same time extremely professional. They kept me informed every step of the way regarding Mum's care needs. There is a brilliant entertainment/activities team with something for everyone to participate in. The rooms are large and nicely decorated creating a home-from-home feel. Fantastic menu with great choices. Everybody who works here from cleaner/laundry, office, activities team, carers, nurses, and care home manager should be so proud of the work and care they give. Truly wonderful care home.
My husband was admitted to Wilton Manor Care Home after having had a stroke and he also has vascular dementia. Having previously spent 9 weeks at the home last year, we knew what a lovely place it was. All the staff are superb, led by the most amazing, helpful manager, and treating my husband as one of their own. Nothing is too much trouble. He's putting on weight and always has enough to eat. The menus are amazing. The rooms are large and clean and he has a TV. He has visitors most days and is always very clean and presentable. I'm so pleased that my husband was considered a resident of this home. His sister wants to stay in this home if she ever has to go into care, as she also thinks it's a great place.
I moved into Wilton Manor eight months ago. I cannot express how happy I am living at the home, I am looked after so well and the staff are so helpful and nice to be around. The activities staff are so jolly when entertaining all of us that live here.
Although mum has been here less than a year she has settled in so well. The staff have been extremely helpful, kind and considerate of mum's feelings. Her dignity is upheld at all times and she feels at home which is a real blessing and really comforting to know. We would recommend Wilton Manor Care Home to anyone needing to source a care home for a family member. Thank you to everyone for their ongoing support.
My room is very clean and my laundry is done regularly. My medication is given to me at the same time each day. My family can visit me at any time. I am on the whole very happy.
I cannot rate this care home highly enough. The staff are exceptional and have made this difficult path easier to bear. My dad was very much loved by the staff caring for him, and it felt like a family away from home. His end-of-life care was very personal and our decision-making was respected and supported. The standard of care was excellent and I would highly recommend this home.
My wife is at present on the NHS Delirium Pathway and a placement at Wilton Manor Care Home Southampton commenced four weeks ago. In addition to significant health issues affecting her heart, lungs and kidneys, she has dementia and requires coaxing to take her medication and fortified drinks. She is not mobile and is reliant upon the staff for all of her day-to-day needs. I am therefore truly appreciative of the close attention given to her by a very understanding, caring and accommodating team. I visit most days and am impressed by the friendliness of the team and cannot fault the care given to her. The team have also been very supportive of me at this very difficult and stressful time. This is a well-managed care home with a very close eye kept on the welfare and needs of the residents. Thanks to all of you.
Our Dad needed Wilton Manor Care Home in lockdown, so we were unable to enter the home and only able to visit through the window and on video calls - but during this time the staff were attentive to him and looked after him well in his final months. Fast forward a year or so and our Aunt also needed care - we are her only relatives so our immediate choice of care home was Wilton Manor - this time the experience was different, we could come in and get to know the staff and see the care home in action - we were very impressed, the quality of care and friendliness of the staff is outstanding. Our aunt wasn’t the easiest at times but the staff were patient and caring and kept us informed. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them - Thank you for everything.
My mum lived her final 2 weeks in Wilton Manor Care Home and died a peaceful death there in April 2023. She had complex dementia care needs and the staff there responded so well to these, adapting to ensure she got what was right for her. They kept me informed about her care, and I knew that when I was not there Mum was safe and well looked after. Staff and the manager all went beyond 'just care', they were so helpful to my partner and I and they continue to be helpful after her death. The manager is a very caring, kind and well-organised person and her understanding of Mum’s needs and also our needs was paramount. We live in Cornwall and the help we received from the manager and her staff went above and beyond. For this, I am truly thankful. You have helped enormously to ease our pain at this sad time. Many thanks.
Delayed review concerning how brilliant all the staff were, so amazing in the lead-up and over the Christmas period. Such a joyous atmosphere making sure all residents and visitors were made to feel so special. It was Mum's first Christmas there and I know she enjoyed the day. All the staff work so hard from top managers down, with excellent communication and a real understanding of residents' needs and care for my well-being too. So glad we found Wilton Manor Care Home.
My brother has settled in now after initially being a little uncertain of his surroundings. The staff have been very patient with him, and he is now beginning to join in with the social activities and enjoy them.
My mother moved to Wilton Manor Care Home in December 2022 after being in hospital for some weeks. I am delighted with the attentive and personalised care that my mother receives at Wilton Manor Care Home.
Mum was discharged from hospital to Wilton Manor Care Home in December 2020 - she was in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's and had a broken neck - she was classified as 'end of life'. It was a very difficult time for Mum and for her family but the nursing and care was truly unsurpassable. With Covid restrictions family were often unable to visit but the staff would be in constant contact and always happy to receive a call - being honest and reassuring regarding Mum's health. Mum recovered from her broken neck and spent a further 18 months at Wilton Manor Care Home before she passed away comfortable and peacefully in their care. Her life had changed beyond recognition but the family cannot thank the staff enough for all they did for Mum during her time there - going the extra mile to keep mum as happy and safe as possible. Such a wonderful team throughout the nursing home - supporting family in every possible way. Thank you so much for your love and care all at Wilton Manor Care Home.
Staff at Wilton Manor have always taken the utmost care to make the residents as comfortable and independent as possible during these unprecedented times. Nothing is too much trouble and have never hesitated to contact me regarding the welfare of my mother, and I have seen firsthand the respect they have shown to other residents during my visits. The activities team ensures that there is something available for everyone to take part in no matter What level of ability they present. The home is always clean and inviting with happy smiling staff to greet you. My mother has been at Wilton Manor for nearly 2 years now very happily.
