Again another praise for Allington Court. For the time and effort they spent putting together everything for the Christmas party for residents and families. Everyone joined in and all the staff went out of their way to make it special, the food was amazing and everyone had a lovely time. Again thank you for all your time and effort and making it special as always.
Excellent care home, all staff are helpful, friendly and look after our dad so well, we can not praise the staff enough, the events team do a brilliant job of keeping the residents entertained and housekeeping does an excellent job of keeping the home and laundry clean. The food is fantastic and the reception has a lovely smiley receptionist to greet you, thank you to all of you.
It's a very hard decision to put your parent into a home, but it was one we had to make. The staff at Allington Court Care Home could not have been nicer and did their very best looking after my dad. They kept us up to date with his progress and how he was doing and were always very helpful.
The staff went out of their way to make our wedding anniversary special. We really feel part of a family at Allington Court and I am grateful for the care and love shown to my wife.
After our mother passed away our dad was not able to cope alone. Spending time living with us became impossible as we all worked. I was worried about the prospect of our dad going into residential care. I need not have. My sister found Allington Court, close to where we live and we loved it right away. It is clean, bright and welcoming with a lovely atmosphere. Dad moved in as a full-time resident and settled so quickly. We can visit all the time and Dad enjoys the activities and the company. The staff are a delight and treat all residents with dignity, kindness and respect. I like to follow their daily lives on social media. Highly recommended.
When enquiring staff were caring and informative. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and respectful. My Dad is happy, contented, and safe. My Dad enjoys all the meals and snacks. Being able to read on a daily basis about his care needs and activities taken part in is reassuring. The staff are approachable and rectified a small problem immediately. My Dad also enjoys walking the grounds.
On entry to Allington Court Care Home we were greeted by a nurse who took us to see our friend who is having palliative care. I was so impressed with how comfortable clean and peaceful she was. The staff we met along the way were so pleasant and helpful. I was so relieved to know my friend would end her days in such a caring environment. The home is spotlessly clean and tidy.
Our experience here is very good, all staff are lovely. There's respect from all staff and my mother has been treated with respect, dignity and much more, she has also enjoyed her time here.
The care home provide excellent care for my mum. I have been really impressed with the range of activities that are provided for the residents. They are certainly not left to sleep all day! The staff have gone out of their way to make Mum feel at home, often adapting routines so she can fit in. I have found the staff to be welcoming when I visit and always respectful and kind to the residents. Allington Court has looked after Mum extremely well.
My 91-year-old father was a resident at Allington Court for three weeks before he passed away on 17th Feb, having been placed there for an assessment following four weeks in hospital after a fall. The care he received during his time at Allington Court was brilliant. The whole team couldn't do enough for him, as well as my sister and I who spent many hours there. Unlike when he was in hospital, we felt confident that he was in good hands when we left him each evening at Allington Court. Right from the start, the team showed a genuine interest in him and were keen to find out how they could make his stay as comfortable as possible - nothing was too much trouble in meeting his, and our, needs. A big thank you to everyone who supported us so well and allowed us to concentrate on him for the last few weeks of his life.
A particular review about a Christmas party. An excellent afternoon and it looked as if the residents all enjoyed it in different ways. Very lively, the young carers came in this year, lots of food, singing and entertainment etc. All done to a very high and enjoyable standard. The rest of my wife's care at Allington Court Care Home continues at the same high level that's always maintained there.
Allington Court Care Home epitomises all that's good and proper in care homes, it has that comfortable feeling of well-being, and serious feelings between carers and residents. A happy place although everyone knows age and health can be unpleasant issues at times. The motto should be we care as everyone projects that wonderful feeling, keep smiling everybody.
The recent coffee afternoon was thoroughly enjoyed by residents and their families, as well as raising money for a great charity. The entertainer was very good, and we all enthusiastically sang along with him. The cakes, as usual, were yummy. Bye-bye diet! A huge thank you to the wonderful staff who make Allington Court such a happy place for residents to live in and for families to visit.
On 6th September my dad was 90 so we celebrated his birthday in the beautiful gardens as a lovely sunny day with all his family there. We had a buffet provided and the chef decorated the cake with chocolate frogs on to match his froggy hat, how lovely was that. Then indoors with the residents for a sing a long with the entertainer who was fantastic and lots of laughter. Thank you so much everyone for making Dad's special day.
I visted my step mum today for the first time. I was very impressed with the home, the cleanliness and decor. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My step mum seemed very happy and she said everyone was very kind to her and she enjoys staying there. I've worked in care for over 30 years and Allington Court Care Home has to be one of the best. Thank you.
My sister is a long-term resident at Allington Court. Since she moved in she has become calm and contended. I visit her at irregular intervals and always find her clean and appropriately dressed and looking forward to her next meal. Though these are pleasant gardens to stroll in I am finding it difficult to persuade her to come outside. However, as the home offers a circuit of corridors around a certain garden she obtains some exercise walking to the sitting rooms or dining room.
Nowhere is perfect and we all have our own individual views as to how our loved ones need to be looked after. My mother’s dementia advanced relatively quickly and so it was hard to come to terms with as, no doubt, it always is. This care home though welcomed her in as an individual and has helped and supported her in every way since she went into their care. All staff seem attentive and helpful and, as her relatives, we have been welcomed to witness a number of very good events such as the recent Coronation, which was very well managed. As a discerning son I’m more than happy that my mum is being looked after, as best she can be at Allington Court. Thanks everyone.
Just feel like I would like to make sure that the activity team and staff at Allington Court got the praise that they deserve after what a wonderful coronation for the king they provided for not just residents but relatives too. Just overwhelming the amount of effort not just on the day but the build-up with craft activities and residents being involved in all the above. We had a lovely day celebrating with them and on my visit today my relative is still talking about it which just makes us so happy. Well done to all, you make it so much easier knowing our family member is so happy and looked after, above and beyond standard, we are forever grateful.
My mum has been in Allington Court Care Home for the last 22 months, she needed 24-hour care and was hoisted as she couldn't walk or look after herself. Mum was very happy in the home, was out in the community every day joining in with the activities. The staff looked after her very well she was always clean her clothes always were colour coordinated. I can't fault the staff, they looked after her very well, she was very happy there. Mum was always smiling, never moaned and I know she thought the world of all the carers. Well done to all the carers that looked after her. We are proud of you all. Sadly Mum passed away in the home two weeks ago but I know she was looked after until the end. Thank you all so much.
