Forest Care Village have taken great care of my mum, she is visiting for a month. Every single carer has been absolutely brilliant, so friendly and caring. My mum is particularly enjoying the food and activities she has mentioned several times how delicious the food is. I trust that my mum is in safe hands and I feel grateful that there is a forever home waiting when she is ready.
I recently visited a friend at Forest Care Village and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, creating a friendly atmosphere that made both residents and visitors feel at home. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and beautifully designed, providing a comfortable environment. During my visit, I was impressed by the variety of activities available for residents, fostering a sense of community and engagement. My friend spoke highly of the personalized care they receive, and it was evident that the staff genuinely care about each resident's well-being. Overall, I highly recommend Forest Care Village, for anyone looking for a supportive and nurturing environment for their loved ones. It truly feels like a home away from home.
Excellent organisation, many activities, cheerful staff. The staff and facilities are very good. The premises are clean and tidy and the overall experience is very satisfactory. Highly recommended!
I have been here for almost six years if only it had happened many years ago. From the age of ten, I have suffered from mental health. I have been in mental wards in various hospitals and I didn't want to leave. But since arriving in Forrest Care it has felt like home without any pressure or (just occasionally). For me, it has been the best years of my life apart from many my early years at Primary School and living rough on the Isle of Wight (both pressure-free)
I have lived here for 11 years. I enjoy doing the activities and watching the entertainment. The care is good and everyone tries their best.
My Mum is being extremely well cared for on Lavender Ward. The staff are friendly and kind and I cannot thank them enough for how well they are looking after her. The activity team do a great job of providing entertainment for all residents to enjoy.
The carers are very friendly. I like going down and joining in the games and entertainment.
All my care at the care home has been exemplary. All the staff have treated me with dignity, kindness and respect. There has been nothing that has been too much trouble from all the staff in the care home.
I have learnt that I do a lot more things for myself. I have met some friendly people (staff and residents) and made some great friends. Great variety of food and activities.
Since I was admitted by kind staff who came to see me at the hospital. I've been treated so well and professionally that it has made a big impact on my life, as I was in a poor state of health, which is good now, thanks to all and everyone here who turned my life into a life to go forward. I'm very grateful to you all. Many thanks.
I love living here. The new management, they are friendly and caring. The lifestyle team are very supportive to us all and always lots to do. My housekeeper does a lot for me and I like all the staff, they're looking out for me.
Having been here for ten weeks, I must say that I find the staff and nurses very warm and helpful. I've felt like belonging to a family and I shall miss you all. I hope to come and visit you soon. I would certainly think about staying again in the future. Many thanks, also the downstairs activities were very good. May God bless you all.
I can't express enough of all the help the home did for my uncle. He was well cared for, loved and made to feel very comfortable. They made the whole family welcome and even provided tea and toast on the nights staying with him. Thank you. The community in the home is just brilliant. Thank you for everything.
I am absolutely amazed at receiving no explanation as to where one of my sister-in-law's possessions has gone. Unfortunately, she passed away last August, but the irreplaceable item had been missing for some time before that. After enquiring of its whereabouts I eventually rang and spoke to the CEO? of the organisation, who asked if I would give time for a thorough search to take place throughout the unit, when she would get back to me - I have heard nothing! I found the place very unwelcoming and had I been given the choice of where my sister-in-law was placed, I would certainly not have chosen Forest Care. Take heed if you care for your loved ones. I could go on, but unfortunately, amount of words is restricted.
Our brother was in the Avalon Ward so carrying and sensitive people who took great care of our brother. So helpful friendly staff who took great care of our brother. So helpful, friendly staff whose small but little touches made our brother's and our lives much better. Thank you for all your care and advice in this difficult time. Keep up the great work you guys do. Thank you.
Very courteous and helpful staff. Always willing to assist. Thank you all very much.
I am happy here and looked after.
I have been working at Forest Care Village Elstree & Borehamwood over two years, the management and staff are all involved with the care we give to our residents. The teamwork is incredible and we love welcoming new residents and making them feel welcome in to their new home. Forest Care Village Elstree & Borehamwood also have a really good activity team who will support the community and get everyone involved with the activities.
Staff have been horrific to my mother. I wish there were cameras installed so that managers can see what is going on. It is an utter disgrace. On view today the place looks filthy. Security is non-existent on the front desk. Anyone can walk in off the street.
