View Full Details of The Chase Care CentreSuch a wonderful care home with incredible staff who gave my gran great care for a short time. Everyone so caring and friendly when she sadly passed away.
A warm welcome with a true understanding from the minute you arrive at reception. The staff at reception were very friendly and professional. The management, staff and nurses, the entire team on the Mayger Ward, were wonderful from the outset. There appeared to be a good understanding between them and they worked well as a team, whilst having to do multiple jobs around the ward to ensure that it ran properly. My father had very few needs in his short stay but they were met to the highest standard. From the nurses and doctors who did the medicines and told me of Dad's passing, to the nurses who changed, bathed and washed Dad, to the cleaners, to maintenance, and everyone on the Mayger Unit, I thank you!
My experience with the care home is one of admiration. They provided excellent care for my father, particularly in his final weeks, ensuring his comfort and support for my family. They treated my father with dignity and consistently demonstrated kindness and compassion. Every single staff member displayed empathy, which was deeply appreciated. His room was always clean and tidy with enough space for his bed, television and personal belongings. The lounge offered a welcoming environment for residents to socialise and watch TV together. We are deeply grateful for everything the care home did for my father and are thankful that he received such attentive care in the last year of his life.
Hi, it was brought to my attention yesterday that I voted for my nurse to be employee of the month, I forgot the wonderful carers and the job they do, in fact all the carers in the home, I can talk to them, anything that is needed I'm attended to so a massive thank you, you mean the world to me, wouldn't have got through without you, love you all.
Excellent service. Very caring. 1.1. Staff always smiling, good genuine care. Here patient interests are right at the front.
A pleasant environment enjoyed by visitors, the staff endeavour to do their best for an aging population. They meet the challenges daily in sometimes difficult circumstances. Problems come and go - well done.
My Uncle was suffering from cancer of the bladder and was in palliative care when he was released from hospital and brought to The Chase. He stayed at The Chase for only 3 weeks and passed away on New Year's Day 2025. My family and I were impressed with all the care and dedication shown and their professionalism. We were allowed to visit almost at any time we wished, there was car parking facilities, and the GP service was just opposite the nursing home, as was the hospital. A doctor was visiting the home every Monday. The food was very good and because my Uncle had problems swallowing his food, it was blended for him. The room had its own toilet and was large. All in all excellent place and service.
Having been in two other homes previously, The Chase is the only place that my mother has felt comfortable, happy and like a home. The level of care my mother has received has had a marked improvement on her quality of life. I have recommended the home to someone I know whose father has Parkinson's and dementia. Since being here I feel I don't need to worry about my mother's day-to-day care.
I am very happy with the care my mother receives at The Chase. The staff are friendly, helpful and caring. Since moving into The Chase my mother seems to have her smile back. When I visit, she seems happy and comfortable. I live nearly 200 miles away and it is a great comfort to me to know that she is being well cared for.
Thank you for all the help and support over the past two years keeping us informed about Mum's care. The home has always been clean and tidy, and the staff caring.
My elderly mum came to stay at The Chase on the 6th of December. She has been welcomed and well cared for and has been kept busy with many different activities. She is settling in gradually and I am pleased and relieved that she is joining in well where she can. It will take time for her to recognise this is her 'new home' but she seems happy enough.
I recently wrote a review about the amazing care my husband received in The Chase. My husband passed away and although truly upsetting I could not have asked for a more peaceful and respectful passing. I was with my husband at the end and all the staff made sure we were both comfortable and well cared for. The staff treated my husband with pure respect after his passing and ensured I was alright and understood everything, nothing was rushed and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The staff are like family and I will miss their wonderful care, concern and respect.
It was my mum's 90th birthday. Mum had a great day, with all the staff helping out, with a cake and a sing-along, Happy Birthday. The staff are great and, especially the two meet-and-greet girls on reception, are always there to help.
Our experience at The Chase Care Centre is, I am glad and happy to say, a very happy and positive one. The care my mum has experienced is excellent and holistic. Although she is limited because of her dementia, she is included in the various activity programmes. The carers encourage her to keep well nourished which is not easy. They are kind and considerate, not only to Mum but also to our family, and the nurses on Van Gough unit keep us updated and informed of any changes in her care.
I would just like to say how lovely the staff at The Chase Care Centre are. My dad was a resident for his end-of-life care and I can't state enough how amazing the staff and carers were towards him. They treated him with respect and dignity right to the end. Even shaving him the day before he passed and making sure he had clean clothes daily - thank you.
The best thing about this place is the food which is excellent and the staff are really nice also the good thing about this place is that it is really tidy and clean. Overall it is a very good place. When I had a stroke and I was shifted to the hospital after that I went to a place where I stayed for a few days and then I came to this place and it's been a year now so it feels like home and it is away from town so it is quiet and peaceful and I am happy here so I don't want to go elsewhere and stay here.
The staff have been really supportive and kept us informed at every stage of his care. Dad has always been made to feel comfortable, cared for and treated with dignity and respect. Thank you for all you have done to make his final months more comfortable. We appreciate all you have done at a very challenging time for us all.
During my husband's stay at The Chase Care Home I know I could go home and he would be very well looked after. I feel the entertainment staff do an excellent Job. I have found all staff are very easy to talk to and do make me feel very comfortable when visiting my husband. Keep up the good work.
After nearly dying in the local hospital, Mum came to The Chase Care Home and although she has dementia - her overall health and well-being has improved massively. She is happy and very well cared for by the amazing staff here!
Our family has been most pleased at the way our family member has been treated in The Chase, and are most grateful to each and every person who has treated my husband, from the activities team to maintanence crew, all dealt with care and dignity. We shall miss all the carers and their friendly help. With all our best wishes.
