View Full Details of Erskine Hall Care HomeI am writing on behalf of my mum. Mum was always terrified of the words home nursing home etc as her thoughts were you go in and never come out this was due to experiences with older family members in her younger days. Mums experience at Erskine hall for a 4 week respite change all those bad thoughts. It is bright and welcoming and has a happy feeling as you walk through the door. The care home management, reception and accounts team pleased to see and help you not just on the first visit but every time you visit which is anytime day or night which is amazing. Mum loved the food it was very tasty and mum in her younger days was a cook but never did she have a bad word the care patience and overall feeding assistance meant a lot. All the carers nurses and round the hourly nursing attention showed great dedication they are amazing people and you can see how much they really enjoy their job their dedication and care is second to none. The cleanliness the care the entertainment 100%
I can honestly say that I have never been happier with a care provider than I have been with Erskine Hall since my mum became a resident. The staff here treat my mum as they would their own. Ample services to provide stimulation and entertainment. Can't fault Erskine Hall.
Welcomed with cheerful kindness right from the start. The manager is warm, gentle and helpful - she always has a smile and time to help. The activities lady is fantastic at her job and is very talented, kind and inclusiveness, she motives everyone to join in.The nurses and staff are friendly and helpful. The hairdresser is wonderful - she is so fast and efficient and ready to help. The grounds a beautifully maintained and the reception is always welcoming.
We recently celebrated my aunt's 100th birthday and had a small celebration at the care home. The Activities Coordinator who coordinates the activities and social aspects went above and beyond to make it a memorable and special occasion for the whole family. A big thanks to Agata for all her help and support.
Erskine Hall is an excellent care home which offers wonderful service, in this case my father. They are given 3 meals a day plus tea, coffees, snacks and various other refreshments throughout the day. The rooms are warm and cosy with good lighting and bathroom facilities. Care is given 24 hours a day and the service by staff is exceptional. Always on hand whenever you need them. There is always a choice for meals throttle day which certainly keeps the residents healthy. There is always a choice of activities to attend which my father particularly enjoys with the music. Would recommend this care home to anyone who definitely wants great care for their relationship in times of need.
My father went into Erskine Hall 2.5 weeks before he died. In that short time he got to know his carers, they made the end of his life comfortable and serene. The nurses were good at communicating with his family, looked after dad's medical needs very well and treated us all with respect and compassion.
As a family, we are very grateful to Erskine Hall Care Home. We were greatly comforted by knowing she was being cared for 24/7 as she was in a lot of pain and very precious to us. We could not have looked after her ourselves. We enjoyed visiting her at the home which I now understand is extremely important. Thank you Erskin your team has been a blessing to us. You guided and comforted us all. Mum absolutely loved the pianist.
Caring place. Rooms could be kept tidier. The staff are very nice, particularly one carer who went beyond her job description - friendly, efficient and nothing was too much trouble for her - excellent lady.
I find the staff care for the residents and their relatives very well.
A very friendly team with good leadership. Communication and empathy are very important both for the residents and family - the ground floor team are excellent at this and always there to help.
Erskine Hall Care Home is the best thing that happened to our family since our dad had a stroke. You provide a safe and friendly environment for my dad, everybody is welcoming and caring. he is happy as "Larry" terms feeling fine at home.
Dad was sent to Erskine Care Home from hospital on initially a temporary basis until we found him a long-term home. We have since decided for him to stay at Erskine as a long-term resident as the care received there is second to none. In particular, there are 3 members of staff that are absolutely lovely and a credit to the home. The manager and several other members of staff were all so welcoming and cheerful and gave me the comfort that Dad is being looked after. Their warm and welcoming personas made the choice very easy and I would highly recommend this home to anyone.
My father came to Erskine Care Centre for the last few days of his life and it was perfect. I would like to particularly share my appreciation of a certain staff member on floor two, who from when I arrived at 11 pm provided a mattress and food, to her outstanding presence and kindness and her ability to manage a tricky situation.
The bedrooms were light and well-appointed, especially the shower rooms. The atmosphere in the home was friendly and relaxed but always professional. The food was nutritious and plentiful with sufficient variety. The staff were caring and attentive. The activities were wide-ranging from musical acts to quizzes and everyone regardless of ability was included creating a pleasant event.
My sister has recently stayed at Erskine Hall for respite following surgery. From pre-admission to discharge, she, and us as a very concerned family, were treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Communication with my sister and with us was timely and informative helping to reduce anxiety at a very worrying time. All of the staff appeared to focus on her as an individual, recognising and managing her complex needs. The staff all demonstrated a team approach and were calm and resident-focused. All the facilities were clean and well-maintained which meant a comfortable stay.
My dear mother spent the final few months of her life at Erskine Hall at the end of 2023. I recommend the home as excellent. The care provided was high quality, professional and above all showed a genuine interest in Mum’s personal situation. She enjoyed the food and entertainment that was provided, and she clearly felt very well looked after. Without exception the staff were excellent.
My mother moved into Erskine Hall as she is no longer able to live independently. With the help and care of the staff, she adjusted well to her new environment. My mother has told me she feels safe and all her needs are met. The staff keep us up to date with any changes to her health, and we are confident she is well cared for. The environment at Erskine Hall is calming and restful. My mother’s room is always clean and smells lovely. Her food looks appetising and the staff caring for her are kind and attentive. My father visits my mother daily and the staff are kind and caring towards him too, and always make him a cup of tea!
My mother was a resident at Erskine Hall for 18 months until her recent passing. The home felt like just the right place for her on our initial visit and I had no hesitation in placing her here. On my regular visits, the staff were always very helpful and caring and did not seem overstretched. As my mum's condition deteriorated, they paid close attention to her medical needs and kept me informed. The food always appeared tasty and there were organised activities. They seem to have all the equipment needed to keep residents comfortable and mobile. I would recommend this care home. Thank you Erskine Hall.
Extremely well-run home and very easy to deal with any problems. The staff are friendly and very caring. The standard of cleanliness is very high and there is always a pleasant smell. Because my mother-in-law is so well taken of it makes the family confident that she will be taken care of at all times and in an emergency. Very good activities.
Warm, welcoming, friendly staff in tastefully furnished and comfortable accommodation. Nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended.
