View Full Details of Inglefield Nursing & Residential HomeHave been to see mum. Genuine friendly greeting on arrival. The staff happily gave me an update on mum her health, mood and general wellbeing. Mum was smiling happy and in a lovely mood. Dressed, clean and immaculately presented for her day. We are grateful for all the amazing support and effort the management at Inglefield give mum. The manager is always has time for the family and residents and given 1 to 1 time when needed. Thank you Inglefield.
My father was discharged from hospital to Inglefield for palliative care. He was deteriorating quite fast but in fact faster than we knew. The staff all did their best in a changing and challenging situation to make sure our wishes that he passed without undue pain and peacefully were fulfilled.
My dad has been staying at Inglefield Care Home and I couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention he has received. The staff are incredibly compassionate and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure his comfort and well-being. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and provide a warm, homely atmosphere that makes my dad feel right at home. The activities set up by the care home have been wonderful, keeping him engaged and happy. Communication with the staff has been excellent; they are always available to discuss any concerns and keep me updated on my dad's progress. It's a relief to know that he is in such capable and caring hands. I highly recommend Inglefield Care Home to anyone looking for a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for their loved ones.
Excellent.
Neither my wife nor I had had any previous experience of residential care and although my wife's visit was for only 7 days we were able to see just how good the home was. For a start, it was good that there was ample parking and a driveway right up to the front door. The building is attractive and the inside cosy and welcoming despite the considerable activity as the staff went about their jobs. The staff were friendly and kind and were soon calling my wife by her first name. The food and recreation were of high quality. Our early departure on the last day was dealt with very professionally with clothes etc. neatly packed.
The staff are very patient and kind and allow time for the residents. I’m particularly impressed by the activity team who come up with great ideas to occupy residents well done everyone. My mother has dementia and the staff are understanding to her and the family.
My mum has been in Inglefield since Covid and when she arrived in not great shape. Since then the attention she has had at Inglefield has been excellent, very clear and, for my mum, really effective. For the longer-term residents, the activities programme really works. The room they use is lovely and as my mum doesn't like being on her own, really uses up the days positively. Inglefield gives clients two things - stability (regular, repeated predictability) and everything else is stimulation to keep the brain going. I have never seen my mum asked if she wants a cup of tea in a simple way... a joke is made, a comment on her room, her clothes etc.- all to provoke her to engage and always positive. Every single staff member does this from the nurses to the chef and housekeeping, to the boss and admin. It's very impressive. But the main thing they do, you can't pay for. They care.
I was made welcome and my dietary needs were well-managed. A phone call from the manager before I arrived to go through what I could and couldn't eat was reassuring and within a short time after arrival, I had a visit from the chef too. Staff were kind and helped me when I asked, except when the one nurse on duty was very busy. Drinks were always made available and I was glad to have internet access so that I could amuse myself in my room. Unfortunately, the weather was bad and so I wasn't able to get outside. It would have been good to have a grab rail on the wall beside the toilet as my commode chair would not fit over the toilet and I had to transfer from my wheelchair which was hard without anything to hold on to. I hope this will be in place for my next visit. All of the staff did their best to make me welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere is friendly and when I went home they said they would miss me!
Thank you to the dedicated management and staff who provided my mother with a warm, caring, safe environment to spend the last few months of her life as well as companionship to her and us, as a family.
What a difference the days make. No truer word could be said for all the staff at Inglefield. From the tea/coffee guys through activities, then the nurses, carers, cleaners, gardeners, maintenance and owners. This home is a home from home in everything it does for the residents. Our mum has had her remaining years uplifted with joy, happiness, a smile and a solace of respect.
My mother moved into Inglefield Nursing & Residential Home three months ago, first for a trial month and then on a permanent basis. The staff are wonderful – always so kind, compassionate, accommodating and professional. She's very appreciative of the food. There appears to be at least one proper cooked meal option for every lunch and dinner, and I happen to know that isn’t the case in all care homes. The period prior to her moving into residential care was quite stressful for me. Knowing that she’s being extremely well looked after has really taken the weight off my shoulders. Heartfelt thanks to all at Inglefield.
My friend had her first experience with Inglefield earlier in 2022 for a little respite due to her loneliness in her bungalow. She always made me promise not to put her in a home! Her opinion changed after her visit. She then returned to Inglefield later in the year for another short break, but decided to stay, which was her decision. I think that her decision to stay says everything you would want to know about Inglefield. She was very particular about lots of things and Inglefield catered to them. The staff were very caring and they made her last days on this earth very special. Thank you all for everything that made her life enjoyable.
Good care. Very helpful and attentive staff. Management is very approachable and willing to help and advise.
My sister has been a resident at Inglefield for only two months so it is early days yet, but so far so good. My sister is Downs Syndrome with learning difficulties & slight mobility issues following two falls this year resulting in broken bones. The staff have all been lovely to her and she loves them all. There is a fantastic array of activities each weekday which she eagerly joins in, this includes being involved in a choir which she loves, they also go out on trips to local places. My sister has some dietary requirements which have been accommodated without issue, they even took a special mince pie on one outing where there was going to be mulled wine and mince pies, just so that she didn't miss out, how wonderfully thoughtful of the staff to do that. So far she is very happy at Inglefield which is a great relief to me. Long may that continue.
Many thanks to the team at Inglefield care home. My father had to be placed into the nursing care of Inglefield under duress, unfortunately, but within a short amount of time, my father realised that nursing homes aren't what he dreaded. All the staff were kind, thoughtful and calm. His room was fresh and clean, he always felt warm and comfortable in his room with his tv and DVDs to watch. Food was always good and would always be encouraged to eat in the dining area of the home if he felt strong enough to transfer to a wheelchair. The medical team were also very good with my dad, any issues or concerns, Inglefield never failed to contact me.
I would very highly rate Inglefield as the staff are exceptional. The food is also freshly prepared and lovely, they go out of their way to deal with allergies in food as well. It is well organised and a very comfy place to be and I have felt like part of the family from day one.
Friendly and helpful staff, very responsive to any concerns that the family had. Very accommodating with visits from relatives not living on the island. Helped mum celebrate a recent birthday in style and have introduced her to other residents.
Over the last 20 years, I have stayed in many homes covering 4 counties. I stayed in Inglefield Nursing & Residential Home for 2 weeks on respite. Day and night I found the staff very helpful friendly and sometimes fun. Food choices include cooked breakfast. Inside is smartly decorated, versatile call bell system, wi-fi, activities and modern TV. I'll stay again.
My father has been at this care home now for almost a year and I have to say the care he has been receiving has been second to none. The staff are all incredible and treat my dad like he is family rather than a resident. They keep me fully informed of changes, procedures and how my dad is. Living in Wales and dealing with the pandemic has made thing's difficult in being able to visit him, so phone calls have been especially important, which they deal with promptly. I know he is well looked after and cared for I can't ask for more than that. What an amazing team!!
I have found the staff to be exceptionally helpful and friendly. I know they do look after my wife with love and care in spite of her being difficult at times. I don't have any complaints . I know she is safe and is well looked after. Nothing more to say but ,a big thank you to all the staff.
