The care received here is second to none! Nothing is too much trouble and the kindness shown to Mum and all of us as a family has been wonderful. All the staff here are very professional and dedicated. We cannot thank them enough.
My father-in-law is very happy at Woodside Hall with his care and his room. The staff are very kind and friendly.
I have found the staff exemplary. They are warm and caring and I have peace of mind that my sister is well taken care of. Any time I have questions or requests they are actioned to my full satisfaction. Communication works well and I am kept informed of anything relevant to her care and personal needs. The locality is lovely and my sister's room is pleasantly decorated and has a peaceful green and water view. I can't recommend Woodside more, whenever I visit I am welcomed and I can see first-hand the excellent care she gets.
My late mother was in Woodside Hall for just one week, receiving palliative care. The nursing home was a really lovely place for my mother to spend her last week. The staff were excellent and provided the highest standards of care. Visitors were made to feel very welcome. I felt I was treated compassionately at a very difficult time.
Woodside Hall Welcomed our father in October 2024 and for the final few months of his life he was treated with dignity and respect from all staff members who had contact with him, the care he received was outstanding and we were always greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome and nothing was to much trouble listening and answering any questions we had, the food was excellent and when we asked him he always said yes I like the puddings, my dad was happy at woodside hall and we are so pleased we chose woodside hall to care for him in his final days.
The staff were welcoming and caring at Woodside Hall. Took a real interest in my father's history and family visitors. The environment was clean and comfortable and safe. When my father died which was expected the staff were amazing.
Our father was welcomed to Woodside Hall in November 2023. During his time at Woodside, we could not have been more impressed with the care and support he received. Everyone was so friendly and professional, maintaining his dignity at all times. He was always asked his opinions and was treated like a person, not just an old man. Staff took time to talk with him, listening to his stories and talking about his favourite subjects. The meals were home cooked and he always had choices, including cooked breakfasts. His room was spotless clean, as were the communal areas. We were always informed of any change in his condition and the staff were often his voice when dealing with outside medical professionals. He was made to feel safe and secure and we couldn't have asked for any more. Our Dad was happy at Woodside Hall and all the staff helped to keep a smile on his face. Their kindness made a difference.
I couldn't ask for a more caring and professional environment for my mother. The staff are outstanding and show such kindness, they are all jolly and fun creating a wonderful home for my mother who loves it there. I have not seen my mother so calm, so relaxed and happy for many years. Her previous years home alone were stressful and she was agitated and anxious, now she is happy and relaxed. Thank you to all the staff.
My father came to Woodside last September. He has been treated with kindness and compassion. His care is first class. All the staff are professional and treat him with respect and dignity. They communicate with him and us as a family. My father who is now 90 is thriving at Woodside. His needs are met consistently and I can only thank everyone at the home for their care of him.
Over nine months ago my husband was placed in Woodside Hall Nursing Home at Wootton on the Isle of Wight. At first he was unhappy at not being allowed home, however, thanks to the care, nursing and other services provided for him, he is now happier and in good spirits. Families are made welcome by all staff and they help us to keep our relationships in good shape. On the 8th of June, we had a party for my husband's 90th birthday and many guests attended.
My mother has been in Woodside Hall for six and a half years now with advanced dementia, but not in her early days there. She was a very unlikely candidate for a home as she was fiercely independent, always this was respected by all in the home and she was treated with respect and dignity. Special mention for the activities organiser who has got her involved in so many great sessions and is just amazing with them all.
Overall, our experience has been good. Dad is settled in now at Woodside Hall. He is forging relationships with staff and has benefited from the kindness and care shown by all. As a family, we have built good, productive relationships with the nursing and care staff, for which we are very grateful. Dad's needs are at the centre of the care.
I first came into contact with Woodside Hall earlier in the year when one of my clients moved in. I was very impressed with everything (staff, cleanliness etc) I now have another client coming in and I am equally impressed with everything. The staff are kind, helpful and willing to listen to anything you need to say concerning my client. The building is clean and so lovely and doesn't have that typical 'care home smell'! I actually recommend Woodside Hall to his family.
Very welcoming when we first arrived to visit our relative. The staff guided us through the process of permanent residency taking away a lot of stress. The manager is always available and willing to help us. The Activities Co-ordinator goes the extra mile to involve all residents including an Italia Day to help my mother feel part of the home.
Mum is extremely happy at Woodside Hall and the care and support is excellent. The initial meeting with the House Manager was friendly, polite, informative and very professional in all aspects. All the staff are always smart and well presented and welcoming when we go to visit. Communication is very good when any incidents occur, we are always contacted and updated immediately. Mum thoroughly enjoys the 2 home-cooked hot meals a day and any special dietary requests are accommodated if possible. Staff pop in regularly to see and chat with mum and even at night, she is checked hourly. To have mum safe, happy and being well looked after is our top priority as a family and we feel that Woodside Hall ticks all of these boxes.
After a few teething problems, which were sorted immediately we found the staff were very caring, professional and very dedicated to giving the best care possible. The rooms are light and airy, and the cleaning staff are excellent. Food was good and varied solid dinners/staff cut up food/ liquidised so catered for all stages of eating properly. Home cooked meals. Good and varied entertainment programs if you wish to participate. Would recommend this home.
My husband spent his final days at Woodside Hall Nursing Home. The care and kindness he was given were faultless. The staff were also there for me and gave amazing support.
Fantastic! Everyone we met was thoroughly professional, kind, considerate and efficient. Took great care of my father, going above and beyond everyday care. Brought in specialist equipment and extra staff training to cater for my father's needs. Assisted with forms and paperwork, attended relevant meetings and showed a high level of care and knowledge of clients' needs with other health professionals. Thoroughly grateful to the whole team at Woodside Hall.
My Mother has been in Woodside Hall Nursing Home for 5 years with complex issues and dementia, and personally could not wish for better care. The Nurses, Carers and all the staff have given her dignity and has reassured her when needed. Sometimes they would even talk and sit with her through the night when her sleep would not come. Her room has just been recently re-painted and the floor changed for better hygiene and is bright and airy but still homely. I could not wish for better care for my Mum as they are very attentive and check on her multiple times around the clock. During the terrible time of Covid which was devastating for us all and couldn’t get to see our loved ones they would ring me to keep me updated on Mums health regularly which was very reassuring. Also I was able to talk to her and see her on video link. Thankfully she was kept healthy during this time. The residents have activity days and can participate if they want to. Woodside Hall is well managed. Thank you Woodside Hall.
