View Full Details of Acacia House - TenterdenMy brother and I are very happy with the care our mum receives. She has been at Acacia for two years. The staff are very caring, respectful and attentive. We are kept up to date with any changes in Mum's condition and our wishes are respected. Management is very kind and approachable and I believe the home to be well run. The food has improved over the two years and Mum is offered a balanced diet that is tailored to her needs. We're very happy with Acacia House.
From the moment you are met at the door you are made to feel welcome, all staff members are friendly and nothing is too much trouble, tea and coffee is always offered. My sister always looks well cared for and comfortable, her room is also clean and her personal possessions are treated with respect. I cannot speak highly enough of Acacia House.
My friend has been a resident at Acacia House for 17 months following a spell in hospital due to deteriorating health. From the time he arrived he has received excellent care from the dedicated and professional on site team. Although he remains in poor health he has improved greatly since his arrival which I feel is thanks to the care he receives. When I visit, there is always a homely feel to the property, helped by a warm welcome from the staff (along with a cup of coffee). Nothing is too much trouble when it comes to my friends care or in making me feel welcome when I visit. I am happy to recommend Acacia House to anyone in need of a Nursing Home that has a family feel and provides excellent care for its residents.
Acacia House are brilliant. Dad is end of life and has quite complex physical and mental health needs. They are making his final months dignified and less stressful for all of us. Their communication is brilliant, the care is brilliant, the medial support is brilliant. I really couldn't ask for more for Dad at this time.
Fantastic- best by far for the standard of care, efficiency and staffing levels. Great communication, nothing ever too much trouble. Cannot fault in any way whatsoever. I regularly visit care homes in my profession and there are very few that even come close to this one. Thank you, Acacia!
I always find the staff very helpful and attentive. When I visit I always get offered a drink and nothing seems to be much trouble. Mum always says she enjoys the food that's given to her. Thank you.
My Dad has been in Acacia for about a year, he really likes it as it has a homely feel. He was in a different care home previously which he didn't take to. But he does like this one. That gives me comfort and reassurance. From my perspective the staff are always welcoming, there is always a healthy proportion of staff and there are activities daily where participation is optional. There was a recent excursion to a war memorial venue near Folkestone which Dad attended and enjoyed. The staff are good at keeping in touch when decisions need to be made and can't be more helpful and accommodating.
This home is just so amazing. My mum is being cared for by this home and from staff to management they are all incredible. The level of care given to my mum, who is suffering from Alzheimer's, so can be difficult, never falters and they are always there to tend to my mum's needs. My family and I have total peace of mind knowing that she is safe and cared for.
My aunt was transferred to Acacia House from hospital for an assessment as her needs have now increased. The welcome she, and I, received was so warm and friendly that she settled in immediately. Her room is charming and equipped with everything to make her comfortable and she is enjoying the food and her appetite has increased. Without exception, every member of staff we have encountered has been kind, caring, extremely professional and helpful and I commend them highly. She will be moving back to the area she has always lived in and I just wish we could pick up Acacia House and put it down there. Thank you all for looking after her.
My sister, who is 88 years of age and has a very serious medical condition, has been happily settled at Acacia House since mid-February 2024. She has been shown great kindness and understanding from both the carers and the nurses and I would never have imagined that she would have been so happy and comfortable in a nursing home. She now does not want to be anywhere else. The happy atmosphere at Acacia House is apparent as soon as one enters the building and I must say that credit should be given to the manager who, one gets the impression, is liked and greatly respected by the staff in equal measure. This is not an easy balance to maintain when running such an operation.
When visiting my Grandad for the first time, I was welcomed by the lovely home administrator who straight away took us to see him. She was very personable and spoke confidently about how my Grandad was and what he had been up to. During my visit, I noticed that the atmosphere was calm and welcoming and that everyone was well looked after. Staff were going above and beyond to make us and my Grandad comfortable. A member of staff who was tending to the garden even offered to bring a table and chairs outside for us, so that my Grandad could sit comfortably. Overall, we are very happy with the care my Grandad is receiving, he seems happy and settled.
The staff at Acacia House provide amazing care and support for my grandma who has been a resident for almost a year. They have fantastic standards across the board, from cleanliness to in-house entertainment, quality of care and hosting for visitors. We are always welcomed with the warmest reception and they are very attentive throughout our visit. My grandma has fully settled and is very happy with her new set-up and the friends she has around her. The staff really can't do enough for you, and the events they put on are so well organised with amazing setups - the summer Wild West party was a great representation of the lengths they go to make such an effort for their residents and family. Cannot speak highly enough of this place. Thank you to all who provided the reassurance that my grandma is so well looked after and thought of.
Acacia House treated the residents to a western summer-themed party on 09/08/24. The weather was perfect and the residents who wanted and could go outside were helped by staff. The staff went above and beyond (again!) with this event. The interaction with residents was of a normally high standard, the entertainment was great, and the food was lovely with a mixture of BBQ, sandwiches, and cake. My mum enjoyed herself and sang along, with me, to some country classics. I have submitted reviews before but it warrants another reminder of how excellent this wonderful nursing home is. It is nothing without the caring, compassionate staff. The work is by no means easy but they keep smiling and deliver exceptional care. I am grateful they take care of my mum the way they do. I am very happy and comforted knowing she is cared for extremely well. I would highly recommend this home for a loved one. Thank you Acacia House.
I just want to thank all the staff of Acacia House for putting on such a wonderful day at the BBQ. We enjoyed it so much. And my husband took part as I never thought he would do again. Dancing with some of the staff, who also looked like they were having a great time. It all must have taken such a great deal of planning, which obviously paid off as so many enjoyed it. Thank you to you all again for such a lovely day, and as you say lots of memories forever.
Mum always received loving and respectful care throughout her two years at Acacia. When she passed in August the staff were excellent. Taking care of Mum, and me. I am so grateful for all everyone did for her.
Good morning I cannot thank all the staff for the care they give to my friend it's outstanding he was first placed at Acacia House from hospital to give me respite and time to find a permanent placement, after a couple of weeks off my friend being at Acacia House we were all so pleased with his progress happiness well-being we made arrangements for him to stay permanently, it was a difficult decision but it was the best one all the staff I think a lot of they are all kind look after my friend so well I will always be grateful.
Staff were friendly and efficient. Extremely coordinated care home. Pleasant atmosphere. Wholesome food. Needs catered for.
My mother initially went to Acacia House for a week's respite after which it was decided with Mum's approval that she should become a permanent resident. My mother has now been cared for at Acacia House since the beginning of March '24. The management and admin staff are so approachable, thorough and extremely caring. All the carers led by really superb nursing staff and team leaders are absolutely fantastic. Everyone at Acacia works with a smile continuously. All very hard-working including kitchen, cleaning and maintenance staff. A lovely extended family!
Staff always very helpful. Great security and attentive of patients and visitors. Very good interaction with patient's activities.
Our lovely Dad has been at Acacia House since 2020 and we can’t fault the care that he has been given. The staff are so attentive and kind and have really taken the time to get to know our dad’s personality. Their kindness shines through and we are so grateful to know that he is in such great hands. There have been many changes since he came and the home continues to strive to be the best it can be and is continually assessing and improving. We have absolute confidence that our dad is in the best place in such difficult circumstances.
