View Full Details of Cooksditch House Nursing & Residential HomeMy mum moved to Cooksditch House from early 2022 until April 2024. During this time members of the family visited often. We all spoke to her regularly by telephone - thank you for chasing her around the building with the wireless 'phone when she was not where she should have been! I think I can speak for all of our family. The reception by your staff whether in person or by telephone was always friendly and respectful. My Mother had a happy experience which I cannot fault, a nursing home is never going to be the same as living under one's own roof - but Cooksditch comes very close. A combination of gentle care with a communal atmosphere of family. In 2023, Mum was transferred to the medical side after a number of health problems. This change was handled by your carers with thoughtful attention - the residential staff maintained contact and she often visited the residential wing to see her house mates. Thank you all.
Mum received excellent care and treatment. All the staff were kind and always there to help. Mum particularly enjoyed the activities including craft and singing.
It was comforting and gratifying to visit our dear relative in comfortable, warm, airy. Care was so tactful and friendly and we feel pleased she was being looked after so well and consistently. Cleanliness and respect so apparent too. Thank you all very much.
I had heard about how well looked after my friends relative had been at Cooksditch so when my mum needed care we were lucky enough to get her a place. I can not fault the care she receives, the staff are without exception excellent, professional and kind. The sign in reception reads, our residents don't live in our workspace, we live in their home. The food is lovely with daily baked fresh cakes. The routine is flexible to mums needs. I don't think she could be any better looked after. I can not recommend Cooksditch highly enough.
The family are so pleased with the care my husband is getting in Cooksditch. The staff always have time for a chat and everyone is treated with dignity and respect. We couldn't have picked a better 'home' for him.
Cooksditch House Nursing & Residential Home is very welcoming to residents and family members. The staff have good relationships with the residents and the care provided is excellent.
Excellent nursing and care staff - couldn't fault anyone.
My wife has been at Cooksditch House Nursing and Residential Home for three and a half years. I am very happy with all the care taken. There is a good atmosphere in the home, very friendly.
Cooksditch House Nursing and Residential Home is welcoming, kind, caring and clean. Always plenty of staff about. Staff are pleasant and courteous. My sister's room is comfortable and clean.
Although my husband has been at this nursing home for two weeks I have found the staff extremely kind and compassionate. Not only to him but to myself also.
Pleased my Father was sent to Cooksditch. The staff are very knowledgeable and caring. I have seen my Dad most days and all the staff have his best interest in mind and with a smile on their faces.
On my husband's arrival, he was treated with care, consideration, and respect. He has been in here for a short while now, and to date, I have been extremely happy with all the staff members that have attended to him (he's not the easiest of people to please!). I as his wife have been kept informed and they have listened and acted on my advice. From the minute you are let in, via the reception, you are greeted with genuine 'welcome' and a lovely feeling of calm. This feeling continues through the visit, enabled by everyone you meet. Everywhere is clean and fresh which in this type of environment is a pleasant change. Everyone is deserving of a very well done! And most important, my husband is happy.
The staff are so supportive and caring. Mum loved her 5 and a half years here until she passed away. The staff are always jolly and friendly. Nothing is too much to ask.
Always found all staff caring and willing to help whenever it was needed. Delt with my sister-in-law with sympathy and care, even when she was being difficult.
I have always been pleased with the level of nursing care provided. My mother has been in Cooksditch House for nearly three years, prior to that my father was cared for in the nursing side from 2018 to 2022. The staff are always very pleasant and work hard. The new manager is also good.
I have found the staff cheerful, helpful and friendly at all times. They kept my wife comfortable, respected her dignity and privacy and generally eased her transition from this life to the next.
The staff are helpful, welcoming and friendly. Although the building looked shabby in areas, I understand improvements are being made. The activities provided appear varied and more are in place. Communication has greatly improved since the new manager has started.
When my husband went into Cooksditch in January 2023 there was a different manager, there was no communication, we were left sitting in his room for 2 hours until I went to find someone to help us, no one showed me around, I have let the new manager know, she welcomed feedback and I’m sure under her care Cooksditch will and has improved. The manager is very caring, it’s lovely now to have relatives meetings and nice to be informed on what’s going on. Most of the staff are wonderful, there has been some issues usually with agency staff. It would be lovely to have somewhere that relatives could go to make themselves teas, coffees etc. My husband seems settled and it’s nice to go home knowing he is being well looked after.
Having visited bed blocking in the NHS and several care homes along the south coast, I think I have a good idea on how care homes function, cleanliness etc. I was surprised at the very high standard set at Cooksditch House, but I was only visiting an old friend.
My mum has been in Cooksditch House nearly a year now. She is well cared for and always says as much. They communicate well and inform me of anything I need to know about Mum in terms of her health and general well-being.
