View Full Details of Eaton Lodge Nursing HomeI travelled from Aberdeen Scotland with my son to see my mum. I stayed in Trent for a week in that week I saw her 4 times and every time I turned up with my son to see her she was complaining. She was very hot. My mum cannot get out of bed. The heating was on and all the windows closed. I had to open them. I mentioned this to the staff on several occasions, they said they would tell other staff, but still windows were shut on every visit on a very warm day, and the juice jug was away from my mums reach. Nurses need to fill the juice cups and put it on a table so my mum has plenty to drink in hot weather, as the juice jug is kept far across the room where my mum cannot reach. Thank you.
Care for my 95 year old mother is excellent, the staff are attentive and respectful. The management team are always helpful and knowledgeable and keep us informed of any issues or changes in mothers condition. The staff also provide daily activities which are fun, engaging and well received, especially helpful when dealing with advanced dementia. Very happy with the care, staff and facilities.
The staff are really caring and very friendly. It's always lovely and warm and clean. They take great care of my husband and are very patient, especially feeding him. It's a happy place with the entertainment lady and hairdresser who go into my husband's room for a chat.
Eaton Lodge is a smaller care home, this is reflected in the homely atmosphere it has, welcoming staff that are there to listen and help you with any questions you may have, they take time to get to know each resident, their likes and dislikes. My relative has not been the easiest to care for when first arriving at the home, but all the staff have been patient and very understanding when caring. The meals are good, and the chef will always try and give my relative what is liked. Eaton Lodge has lots of activities going on, and the activities manager always looks to find something that my relative would like to get involved in when possible, even if staying in bed and in the room. As a relative I get regular updates via email about things that are planned for the residents, which is good to know as you are welcome to join in. Over all I find Eaton Lodge to be a warm and friendly home, it may be smaller in size, but it is big on care, and my relative is happy and content there.
What a wonderful home. The kind caring compassionate staff (from manager to cleaner) are second to none. Having worked in several and visited some I have never seen such a good team as this one. You would have to go a long way to get a better one. They go out of their way to welcome us when we visit, and to make sure my aunt is comfortable. Well done to all of the staff.
Staff excellent and should be valued for the way they care for residents. Visitors are treated well and kept informed of all the needs of the residents.
Mum has now been here for three months. The care and support that she has received is excellent. Eaton Lodge has the kindest and most respectful staff that I have ever come across. They are all an absolute asset and we are very lucky to have them. The food is varied and freshly cooked. The cleanliness in every part of the home is faultless. I would highly recommend Eaton Lodge.
I find the staff most helpful friendly and likeable. My nan is being looked after with care by genuine people, and as visitors we are always treated well and looked after, and that extends to the broader team such as cleaning and maintenance staff. The home feels clean and safe with a patient focused activity planner which is varied and fun.
From my experience, when visiting, I have always found all the staff very welcoming and friendly. I am always greeted with a smile and nothing is too much bother for them. The whole atmosphere is very homely. My sister always looks clean and well cared for. She does enjoy her food and looks forward to her meals. They always look very tasty and I know she enjoys them. She has the opportunity to join in with the many varied activities. I am always kept up to date with what is happening and also receive lovely pictures of the events. When I visit, I am always offered a cup of tea or coffee, which I think is such a nice gesture and is much appreciated.
Always polite and attentive when we visit with my mother. The carers are happy and doing a good job, also provide us with refreshments. One staff member in particular, very active in including all, in the entertaining and social events, even when some residents can be difficult to engage, she is persistent and it pays off. Really enjoy bumping into one of the maintenance team assistants, he always very polite and on point. He speaks to the residents when able in his work, he is an asset to the team. Another staff member in particular again professional and informative. All in all, happy with my Aunt's overall care at a challenging time thank you.

Eaton Lodge is a superb care home with wonderful staff to match. The meals are varied and nutritious and the environment is cosy and homely. I know my Mum is being well looked after and she seems content and happy to be living at Eaton Lodge.
Dad went to Eaton Lodge after a short spell in hospital, where he was deemed too frail to return home. He was only there for a few weeks before sadly passing away. During this time, he was not the easiest of residents, being depressed and often grumpy. However, the staff at Eaton Lodge were very kind and patient. Whenever we went to see dad, the staff were always very welcoming and were keen to tell us how dad was doing and what he'd been up to. My mum, my sister and I all knew that dad was in good hands. We are very grateful for the wonderful care and attention that dad received during this difficult time.
My mother was in Eaton Lodge for the last few weeks of her life. She could not get out of bed. As a scattered family, we were kept informed and helped to keep in contact in person and using the phone. The staff were very proactive in looking after Mum. They also reacted to our concerns with the best solutions possible. Although she was receiving end-of-life care, I received photos of her having a hair cut and a chiropodist also visited her. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every day was a meaningful one for Mum; they looked through her photos with her and wanted to know all about her. She was kept clean and pain-free. I couldn't have asked for more.
My friend is very happy at Eaton Lodge despite being bedridden as the staff are extremely kind, conscientious and efficient ensuring he receives excellent care. They visit him frequently throughout the day and check on him during the night. He sometimes refers to them as 'his family' and appreciates their genuine compassion as well as sharing a joke with them as he has a good sense of humour. He looks forward to all his meals which he thoroughly enjoys. The staff ensure he is able to participate as much as possible in all special events and activities - craft activities are brought to his bedside; visiting singers/therapy dogs visit his room much to his delight. The staff are always very friendly, kind and welcoming when I visit. Such a lovely, happy atmosphere.
The staff are friendly and caring. Mum reports that they are lovely and look after her really well. She likes the chef and is asked what she would like. Activities are inclusive of those who are bed-bound.
My friend has been here for two years and is very happy here.
I have found all the staff to be friendly and welcoming. I have visited my mum now for around 3 months and cannot fault the staff. Always offered refreshments and even remembered how you have your cup of tea. Could thank them enough for making my mum feel safe and happy.
Such friendly and helpful staff for whom nothing was too much trouble, even though my partner was on the second floor there was no hesitation when asked for even a cup of tea. The food was delicious and served piping hot. We could not have asked for a better place for her. And I thank all the staff for doing what you did.
