Since dads been in the Home his been always clean and tidy, dad is very happy on every visit and the staff are always very helpful and friendly. Would recommend this home to friends and family.
My dad has been very happy since coming to Harbledown Lodge Nursing Home. The staff are always friendly and look after dad very well. It is always very clean and tidy, and we are very happy that dad is there.
Mum has been in an assessment bed since November 25th. Her room has always been clean + fresh -she appears well cared for. Staff are always friendly and polite to both mum and myself. The home keeps me informed of any changes in mums health and what she has done (or not done) as the dementia stops her telling me herself so its important to me to be kept in the loop.
Our experience has been one of relief, reassurance and happiness that our loved one is being so well cared for both in a physical and emotionally caring manner. Her room is ideal offering her lovely views from her windows, which is very important to her. The warmth and genuinely caring nature of all the staff is exemplary, she is enjoying the freshly cooked meals and on occasion when she has requested something, it has been provided with a smile and no fuss. She's engaging in the activities and consequently, other residents which is lovely to see. She is very happy here which is a blessing to us all who love her. Thank you.
Fantastic communication and clean. Helpful staff and well run.
Mum is happy and settled. Needs are met.
I am very happy in this home. The staff are really helpful and treat us with respect and dignity. My family are always welcome also our family dog, which I love.
I know the staff but I don't know their names. The staff look after me very well.
They take good care of their patients and make sure they are fed. They also send their patients to hospital if necessary. Anytime something is going on with patients, they take the time out to phone up their loved ones.
A good experience in a well run home. Very friendly staff, all of the staff are very competent. I would recommend his home. One feels safe and secure here. There is a kindly atmosphere.
Staff are very helpful and caring. Mum is very happy and settled here.
My husband had been in Harbledown Lodge Nursing Home for 8 years. He suffered from dementia. The care he received during that time was exemplary. Sadly, he passed away in June 2024. Although he was non verbal and unable to move unaided, the staff were wonderful, always making sure he was comfortable, chatting to him and involving him in activities as much as possible. I was always made very welcome when I visited, Harbledown Lodge became my second home and family while my husband was looked after, and I am very grateful for the care he received.
A very comfortable and caring home. Her own room is very comfortable and clean. The staff are caring and patient. All aspects of care brilliant and everything explained very well.
My auntie was a resident here for end of life care and I can not thank the staff enough for their care and kindness she received up until the end and for the compassion shown to relatives after her passing from all members of staff they had contact with. Thank you again for truly caring.
We are extremely pleased with the wonderful compassionate way you all cared for my dad. All members of staff were kind, friendly and truly cared for him and his needs. We thank you for making dad's final days so restful and peaceful.
Excellent Care.
Dad seems well in himself, not in pain at the moment but quite confused, not remembering close family.
As a family, we are immensely grateful for the impeccable care our eighty year old mum receives at Harbledown Lodge Nursing Home. I have never once turned up to visit mum and felt anything other than good will towards the staff, all of which, without exception, tend to her needs with compassion and understanding. A big ask, but she is always clean, (arms and legs creamed to help with her scratching) has her pain relief given in a timely way and topped up if her pain is too much. Whenever l turn up mum is always calm, comfortable and warm, which means the world to us as her family living our lives on the outside. The peace of mind this gives us is immeasurable. She always gets a doctor's visit as soon as her vital signs show any signs of a COPD exacerbation. This in turn, staves off the need for a hospital stay, allowing her to stay in the comfort of her own bed. Watching the birds and squirrels. Would highly recommend this care home as the staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating.
