View Full Details of Haydon-Mayer Care HomeOn the whole, given the crisis in the care industry, Haydon-Mayer perform as well as can be expected. The carers and staff treat our father with sensitivity and respect and he is happy here. It's a great shame that at present there is not an activities coordinator on site. There always seemed to be a buzz about the place but sadly no more.
Room clean and warm. Staff are excellent. Very happy and good food. Comfortable shower.
I have been very satisfied with all the care that I have received. I have no complaints and looking forward to continuing to have a very happy / no complaints year to come.
My mum was a resident at Haydon-Mayor for just over 3 years until she sadly passed away recently. She was always treated with the utmost respect, dignity and love by each and every one of the staff, even during the times mum could be a little challenging as her dementia took hold. We were always made to feel so welcome and were kept informed at all times by the management about mums care. We could not have wished for a better care home, and will be forever grateful for the care she received.
Sadly my mum passed away on 25/01. She had been a resident in the home since December 2021. I wish to express my sincere thanks to all the wonderful staff for caring for my mum in a compassionate loving manner. I could not ask for a better 3 and a bit years of seeing mum so happy and well cared for. Thank you all!
The staff at Haydon-Mayer have done a fantastic job of looking after my mum. Everyone is so friendly, professional and welcoming. My mum now considers some of the staff her friends, and enjoys having her little chats with them when they come into her room. I haven't been there when her food is served, but Mum says the food is excellent! Nice location with plenty of parking available.
I am a happy resident.
Very happy place to be.
Thank you for making the Summer Fete such a success. Huge thanks to the Hayden Mayer team for a truly special afternoon. How lovely to meet staff and their families supporting the event. A big shout out to the chef amongst you. What a great experience to taste new food. Absolutely delicious, not forgetting the singer to add the afternoon's entertainment. The combination of seeing residents, families and the local community come together to enjoy the summer fair and make it a memorable event. Well done.
My long-time friend and neighbour has recently moved into Haydon Mayer which was not his choice. When I visited him today, I was speechless, he was up out of bed and sitting in the lounge chatting with other residents. It was so nice to see him like this again. His room is clean and tidy and the staff are so welcoming.
The care for my mum has been first-class. People here are kind, and caring and treat my mum with dignity. They also have arranged to get her walking a little on a frame which is a miracle. The activity coordinator is fantastic and is always putting a smile on the residents's faces.
A very good home and good hardworking staff from top to bottom. It's better than the home I work in.
My mother is never down or depressed, a bit sad when she sees her children leave the home. Always clean and fresh looking and well looked after. Love how they put her hair up and make-up on. Seeing people keeps her strong. Love the pictures of all the care home doing activities. Thank you all for looking after our mother and keeping her how she likes to look and face the world.
My aunt has been happily looked after for more than a year now. She is happy and the staff of Haydon-Mayer are also always happy and welcoming, It is a pleasure to visit and the care that my aunt gets in first class. Information and feedback about her condition is forthcoming on a regular basis.
Whilst overall, I am happy with the care I am receiving at Haydon-Mayer, I feel that I should point out that one evening, about one week ago, I was in extreme pain and very uncomfortable. I had to wait at least two hours for assistance after pressing my alarm. I appreciate that you may have been busy and possibly short staffed but I do think that is too long to wait and sincerely hope it will not happen again.
My mum was moved to Haydon-Mayer after a horrendous month in Hospital. What a contrast! All the staff at Haydon Mayer treated her with such kindness, respect and professionalism. As she neared the end of her life she was not conscious much of the time but the team continued to treat her with the utmost respect and dignity. They were also very kind and patient to me at such a difficult time, which I am so grateful for. We did not know anything about Haydon-Mayer before she was moved there but based on our experience I would not hesitate to recommend them. Thank you so much to all at Haydon-Meyer.
I have found all staff approcahbel and must emphasize ancillary staff especially, although the same for medical staff too. Most importantly the kindness shown to my sister is excellent.
The home is always clean and well looked after. The food is nice. I'm well looked after.
I cannot fault anything with the home. Mum is being well looked after, her room is bright and spacious and clean. Staff are polite and very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. A big thank you to all of the staff.
My husband seems reasonably happy despite having many debilitating health problems. He appears to like the meals provided. The Christmas lunch was particularly good. Compliments to the chef. My husband also enjoys the extra little treats and the homemade soup too.
