View Full Details of Kippingtons Nursing HomeThe care, attention and support given to my husband from the start is impressive. I discuss my husband with the staff regularly so that they understand and are able to engage with him fully. He receives their full support at all times giving me peace of mind that he is safe and well cared for. Coupled with that, the staff are very welcoming and supportive of my family.
The staff, carers and nurses are very good, and you can tell that they really care - it's not just a job for them. The nurses, in particular, are excellent with their support and help. My wife is very young to be in a nursing home as she is recovering from a brain tumour. I have personally found this very hard to deal with, but Kippington have really reached out and helped.
Mum was very poorly when she arrived at Kippington Nursing Home. All the staff were so kind and looked after her so well. I've got nothing but praise for them all. From the moment you walked into reception, you were greeted with a smile and an offer of tea or coffee and a slice of cake. The nursing staff all cared for my mother so well for the short time that she was a resident there. I can't thank you all enough.
The reception is very welcoming and helpful. I was offered refreshments and cake which was lovely. Mum seems happy and seems to have a rapport with all staff. The nursing staff are always welcoming. Thank you for your care for Mum.
The majority of staff are very caring and compassionate and hygiene and care standards within the home are excellent. There have been a couple of occasions where I have had to prompt staff to encourage Mum more. Instead of allowing her to stay in bed for days at a time. I am happy to stay this appears to have improved recently. Currently, we are having difficulties treating Mum for an infection within the home which she has been suffering from for longer than I think is acceptable. I hope this is resolved soon. (All care homes are overpriced.)
The staff here are very pleasant and kind to my Grandad. They help him when he needs something (even if he is stubborn!). He says the staff talk to him and have a fun chat and like his jokes. The drinks in reception are good and also the snacks. It's nice and warm in winter! A comment by my Grandad is: "The food can be spicy/salty and unpleasant he can't eat it, not nice for the elderly pallet." - PS We love the cat!
The staff are lovely, very patient, and helpful and we feel my Mother is well cared for.
My wife has been treated very well with loving care and kindness. The staff are very supportive and friendly. Overall the nursing home is a very nice place for me to visit.
The residents' activities have been lacking due to staff sickness. Although, when the activities coordinator is working, he instigates games for the residents. The activities coordinator is a 'one in a million' man. He treats the residents with real respect and humour. There are many great nursing staff who look after the residents and they inform me of any change with Mum. It takes a team to work in a care home and I feel lucky that Mum is a resident at Kippingtons.
On arrival, good parking, always a space. Welcome at reception is excellent - a friendly greeting and smile. Offered drink, cake and fruit. Downstairs, residents look well cared for and happy. Some watching TV, others playing games or listening to music. Sufficient staff available to care for everyone's needs. The care, Miss Kippington, makes the place seem like home! My friend's room is a good size, comfortable, light and well-decorated with TV and radio. Very clean and warm. My friend is clean and suitably dressed, comfortable, relaxed and happy to be living at Kippingtons Nursing Home. Staff are kind, friendly and helpful and treat the residents with dignity and respect. A pleasant, secure and safe place to be.
My mother has been a resident at Kippingtons for 2 years. There is never a day that goes by when I don't see the love, care and devotion that is given to their residents. The amazing planning of activities that enhance the resident's lives and well-being is outstanding.
Mum came from being neglected in another home and came here, what a difference! From the first day, we were so happy about the care given. All the staff are so patient and lovely to not only Mum but to family too. The food is very good, the setting is beautiful and the care staff as well as all cleaning staff, food, reception etc. are all very friendly. We as a family couldn't be happier.
Dad has been in Kippingtons for a couple of months now and we are so happy with every aspect of the care he receives. The staff are completely wonderful, always smiling, helpful and unfailingly caring at all times. It’s a blessing and relief for us to know that our Dad is in such a comforting place. We are given updates on his condition regularly and made aware of any concerns. The care offered is outstanding and we are so grateful to everyone involved in the provision of it.
Well cared for.
Kippingtons offers excellent care and nursing facilities for my father. All staff are welcoming and extremely helpful in all aspects. As a family we are far more relaxed knowing Dad is in safe hands and fully cared for all the time. We are all so grateful for the level of care and compassion shown.
Have always found all staff very cheerful and helpful and I have no concerns with my wife's care.
Fantastic place. Wonderful staff. Mum is really happy.
The staff are all amazing. They work hard and they show empathy, sympathy, love, and understanding. They treat every resident with respect, love and a great deal of understanding, and in many cases very patient with the ones that require extra care. The chefs that work in the home are always very amiable and always prepared to go the extra mile. Could do with a bit of paint in most rooms, to brighten the place up. I found it to be ok all the time Dad was able to get down to the lounge to join in, but unfortunately, when they get to the stage where they don't leave their rooms, no activities are shared and they are left to family's to share their time, but if families don't visit it must get quite lonely. Would be nice to have a tea and coffee kitchen on each floor to enable families of residents to make coffee and tea as and when required. This would be an advantage to everyone visiting. They do require music or something in the top lounge, a bit of a wasted space, which could be used.
Very pleased with everything. All staff are marvellous and very kind to everybody. First-rate.
I was taken out for the day for a pub lunch. We went to the pub I used to drink in. We had a lovely day. I even had someone I used to know buy me a drink. The activities coordinators made this day happen and, of course, the bus driver and the care staff who helped me get ready.
