View Full Details of St Michael's CareMy mum has been at St Michael's since August 2024. I'm very happy with her progress when she was admitted she came from hospital. She was under weight only weighing 40k. But with the good care she is almost 50k, she has come on leaps and bounds. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The chef is very good at applying the correct diet even pureed food for Mum as she has no teeth. Personal care is excellent her room is clean and kept warm.
My mother-in-law is happy, more chatty and putting weight on. The staff are amazing, always happy to help and very polite.
Mum was looked after well at St Michael's Care. In particular the staff were exceptionally kind, respectful and helpful. The manager was also friendly and helped mum settle. There was a good range of activities each afternoon. Mum sadly was too unwell to participate in these most days. All staff from the nurses, care workers, receptionists, activity co-ordinator, laundry lady work hard to provide a caring and homely setting. They all helped to make mum as comfortable as possible in her final months. Thank you St Michael's
My Dad spent one of the most important times of his life here at St Michael's Care, being cared for and provided for by amazing staff. His room was perfect and we could not have asked for anything better for him. Thank you
My stepfather was in St Michael's Care for one week, being moved there from the hospital. The care at St Michael's is amazing, nothing is too much trouble. The proprietor was very welcoming and helped us with any questions. The staff were always happy, friendly and smiling. My stepfather was comfortable at all times right up to his passing. I cannot thank St Michael's enough for the fantastic care given.
St Michael's Care is a lovely care home, not only is it in a beautiful area, it is immaculately clean. The staff are so friendly, caring and professional, the food is fantastic and anything you could need is there. My uncle was certainly well looked after, couldn't have wished for better.
My father came to St Michael's Care in November 2024 for end of life care. Since the day he has arrived he has had nothing but exceptional consistent care. The carers are kind and thoughtful to his needs and nothing is too much trouble. He has said how safe he feels since being there. As a family we feel totally supported by St Micheal's and feel blessed that dad is spending his days here.
Unfortunately, my Mum was only transferred to St. Michael's on the Wednesday and sadly passed away in hospital on the Sunday, however, I am absolutely certain Mum would have been happy and well cared for by all members of staff. The manager was so welcoming and 'on the ball'. The nurses and care assistants were professional and so caring. I was welcomed by the receptionists every time I arrived. I am just so very sad that Mum was not able to benefit from a longer time there but I can honestly say, Mum received better care in those few days than she did in the years she spent in another local care home. Thank you everyone.
As seen below in the review chart, my experience of St Michael's has been excellent in every way! The whole team of staff are welcoming, calm and professional. They treated my friend with absolute kindness and enabled her such dignity every day of her life. Each staff member demonstrated kindness to her family right through to her final day. Thank you everyone.
I would like to express deep gratitude to every member of staff at St Micheal's for the wonderful care my husband received during his end-of-life care. They made a very difficult time absolutely bearable for me and the family. We were made to feel cared for too, especially our dog who spent many hours at the window watching squirrels, much to the amusement of the staff. All in all, the manager and her team at St Micheal's go well over and beyond, all one could hope for with the care and compassion my husband received at the end of his life. You couldn't have done more. Again, I thank each member of staff at St Micheal's for that. You are all amazing.
A very short time at St Michael's Care for my friend but many thanks to everyone for looking after him under very difficult circumstances.
Absolutely wonderful. I couldn't have wished for a nicer home for my mum. The staff are all so caring and helpful, from kitchen cleaners through to activities team. There is a warm welcome and encouraging people to get involved in quizzes etc. My mum loves being with people, St Michael's is a big family. Thank you.
My grandad was at St Michael's Care Home for a few weeks before passing away there. The care and compassion was amazing. They made him feel welcome. They made sure he was looked after well. Staff were very helpful and very caring right to the end. The home itself was very clean and a beautiful home one of the best I have been in. Highly recommended.
My Father came to St Michael's for End of Life Care. He was so well cared for right up to the end. Thank you to you all for the wonderful care and support for him and us as well.
I was extremely happy with every aspect of the nursing home. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the care my wife received was exemplary. The facilities were first class and ensured all residents were treated with respect and dignity. I would definitely recommend St Michael's Nursing Home to anyone looking for a care home with nursing facilities.
My mother has just moved into St Michael's and I can not emphasise enough just how super this care home is. The levels of care; compassion and love given are wondrous and that includes the thought; care and compassion given to my husband and I. This is a new chapter for us all and St Michael's allows us all to make new memories. New memories with my mother but also with other residents and staff.
My friend passed away this month, bless her. I first want to say a very big thank you for all the help and kindness everyone was to my friend and also to me when I used to go and see her. I went and saw my friend in hospital for six days, and thank goodness I was with her when she passed. I arrived at the hospital at 11.15, and she passed away at 12.30; she looked so peaceful, bless her.
My husband has been in St Michael's for two weeks after several months in hospital. All of the staff have been extremely professional, kind and supportive. They have made the move into the home for my husband as easy and welcoming as possible. The nursing staff are fully engaged with his complex health conditions. The care
St Michael's shouldn't be rated 'Good' it should be 'phenomenal'! The care my husband received during the last months of his life was absolutely amazing. All the staff, from top to bottom are wonderful. They will go above and beyond to ensure their residents are given the very best of care and support. Not only the residents but their families too. I can't praise and thank them all enough. It is like having a second big family and we will miss them all so much. Score out of 10 - 100! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Mother was in a very poor state when she came into the home but the staff managed to get her strong enough to stand and walk by herself. She's a vegetarian and they've catered for her needs very well. At first, Mother was unhappy at leaving her flat but thanks to the very kind staff and particularly the carers, she is now happy and enjoying all the activities.
