View Full Details of Temple Ewell Nursing HomeOverall, I have found that the communication between management and staff can be very poor. Also, I have found the cleanliness of the overall home, toilet, and resident bedrooms to be very poor, to the fact, I regularly have to ask staff and cleaners to clean my grandad's room as it has been clear it hasn't been cleaned, as I visit regularly. The furnishings and medical equipment are outdated. However, the nurses are very good at responding to health concerns.
My mother entered the Temple Ewell Nursing Home in April 2020 in an 'end of life' condition. This was just as the Covid pandemic was beginning. The way that the staff maintained services at that time was a tribute to them. My mother then rallied for a further three and a half years, largely due to the care and attention she was given. We found the home was kept very clean, the nursing care was consistently good and the staff extremely caring, friendly, and approachable. The food was to a good standard and my mother was assisted with eating when this became necessary. Any minor issues that arose were dealt with quickly and satisfactorily. We were particularly touched with the very sensitive and feeling way the staff cared for my mother in the last few weeks of her life and at her passing. An additional touch related to my mother's wedding ring which became lost and was found and returned to us after her passing. Overall, our experience of the home was excellent.
Mum was fast-tracked via the NHS as she needed nursing palliative care. All staff have been kind, polite and gentle towards mum. Nursing care has been marvellous. Cannot praise the team highly enough. Any request for a nurse/manager update - prompt and efficient. As a family, we visit unannounced at any time and have never been made to feel unwelcome.
Came with my husband and sister-in-law to visit a friend, impressed with the staff, decor and no odour of incontinence, just as it should be. Very pleasant health care assistants and catering staff.
My brother was placed in Temple Ewell Nursing Home for palliative care. He was cared for in an exceptionally kind manner. He was tended to with the utmost care and kept happy. I was confident to leave him with the staff in the knowledge that he was being looked after considerately. He died there and I am grateful that I had some peace of mind that his last hours were in such a good environment.
My father was treated with the utmost respect throughout his 6-week stay. The staff had time for him and chatted, getting to know his life and humour. My father was a fussy eater but did like the food he received, plus they always had a selection of puddings. Food and drink were available 24 hours a day. Dad was helped to keep clean and his room was looked after well. I personally found the staff very friendly and always helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they were also supportive of me during his last days. There were facilities for visitors with a restroom tea and coffee machine etc, which I used regularly. Overall the helpful, caring, and friendliness of the staff, made my dad's last days more comfortable. Please pass on my thanks to your staff.
The staff are wonderful, helpful, smile and have a great sense of humour. I cannot thank them enough for all their hard work. They work even harder as they are short-staffed. What lovely, kind and caring people, you could not ask for such wonderful professional people to look after your loved ones. Thank you so much again.
My mother was admitted to Temple Ewell Nursing Home on the 18th of January 2023. She received excellent nursing care from a very professional team. The carers were thorough, caring and consummate professionals throughout. They treated my mother with kindness and maintained her dignity at all times. My mother would often comment on how hardworking the staff were and she liked them very much. Our family were treated with respect by all at Temple Ewell Nursing Home. We cannot thank them enough.
I can't fault this care home, the staff are all friendly and caring. My dad has been well looked after here. I visited any time of the day and my dad is always clean and has been fed, from his last nursing home where you expect high-end care, which sadly he didn't get, I can gladly say this is much nicer. They don't give you the number to enter the building but you never wait long to enter. They have a machine to take your temperature and an online screen with a printout when you visit (again his previous care home didn't have any of this). The feel of the place is relaxed, clean and tidy. Would recommend it to anyone looking for relatives for care.
My mum has been placed in the home for assessment, she has very complex medical needs, but the staff at the home have been amazing, they are friendly, kind and empathetic, I could go on and on but, most of all my mum is settled, happy, clean and well looked after. I know I can rest easy knowing my mum has the best care here. Also, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, not only to mum but to my family too, nothing is too much trouble for these lovely people, 5 stars all the way. Thank you for everything you do for all of us x
Mum was only at Temple Ewell Nursing Home for just over three months. She sadly passed away in January, but we have been overwhelmed with the outstanding care she received. The home has a warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and Mum was always kept clean and comfortable. More importantly, though, she was treated with such love and kindness and also dignity, which was also extended to us as a family whenever we visited and especially during Mum's final days. We cannot thank the staff enough.
My brother was placed into emergency respite at Temple Ewell Nursing Home after our mother was admitted into hospital. This was an awful time for the whole family, my brother obviously was concerned about going into a care home that was unknown to him and us all. I cannot praise this care home enough for their care and kindness, not only to my brother, but to myself every time I have had contact with them. On visiting my brother, I was greeted by the most loveliest staff, who were homely, chatty and friendly. I work in health care myself and can be very judgemental about who cares for my brother, but I can honestly say, I have nothing but praise for all the staff I have had the pleasure to have had contact with and the most important part, is my brother is very happy too. So that makes me happy.
I've always been happy with the home and my husband likes it, he is well taken care of.
The carers are polite, efficient and treat my sister with dignity and understand her condition. They have cared for her during this pandemic.
Very good. Very helpful. Very safe and secure. I have been visiting since the Covid-19 lockdown was lifted. I have been very happy with the standard of care and the continuous testing. Keeping residents very secure and safe.
Mum always seems clean and content. Carers always seem happy and are very helpful.
They are excellent with my sometimes difficult dad. Wonderful staff, very caring, know his ailments and are on top of things straight away.
Having transferred my sister from a nursing home in New Malden, Surrey, Temple Ewell Nursing Home is 5 Stars. The staff are all very caring, they check on my sister regularly, some of the caring staff are exceptionally kind. Covid has been difficult for everyone, but Temple Ewell has been outstanding.
The staff are very friendly and can't do enough. My sister and I are very happy with the care mum receives. We are kept in touch and know she is taken care of. With a loved one that you are not able to care for it was daunting to leave her in someone else's care but we are very happy with all the care she receives.
My Dad came to live at Temple Ewell following a rapid decline in health. From the day he arrived, communication has always been excellent. The staff are kind and polite. Everyone has understood the consequences of lockdown on visiting and have been sympathetic. Dad is always clean and comfortable and is well fed. It feels as though they genuinely like him and care for him, which is lovely. The organisation of visiting is excellent and managed very safely. The environment is nice and Dad’s room is spacious, clean and bright. Detail is paid to his risk of falling and this is carefully managed.
