View Full Details of The Julie Richardson Nursing HomeWe could not have asked for a better place to look after my uncle in his last few weeks. The care and compassion shown by everyone has been exceptional. We were so lucky to have all your support and kind words and knew he was well looked after, safe and comfortable. It meant the world to me and my family.
We'd been desperate to get mum the right care for years, the fabulous social worker at the hospital helped us to find The Julie Richardson Nursing Home, we will be forever grateful. We couldn't have asked for more. Mum presented some difficulties but the care workers and nurses were so kind to her and we could all see that mum was happier than she had been for a long time. The level of care was second-to-none. Mum blossomed at Julie Richardson and although she only there for six months until she died, we never ever worried for her future again in those six months. Thank you to all at Julie Richardson, you are the best.
The staff here have been looking after mum here for a very long time. The care is excellent. The facilities perfect. I travel all the way from Dublin so tend to visit for a while and observe them looking after other clients and the service to everyone is always very good.
Outstanding care.
Very helpful staff, friendly, welcoming, always smiling and kind. My mum is a high risk fall 89 mobile with dementia. She has spent 7 years in a residential care home in another town but a fractured hip led her into hospital for 7 weeks. She has been accepted at Julie Richardson Nursing Home for 6 weeks assessment and although too far from the previous town and too far for her regular visitors I am much reassured she has excellent care at Julie Richardson.
My mum was in Julie Richardson for 10 months, all the staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. I became part of the care home as well, made lots of friends. My mum settled in well there. I would recommend.
Sadly, only one month in your care. Staff were excellent and very happy, which is so good these days. Always a nice welcome when I cam to visit.
The Julie Richardson is a very caring and homely place for a resident to live. Each member of staff genuinely cares about everyone. There are lots of activities for residents to get involved with if they wish. I thoroughly recommend this warm and happy home.
My father moved to The Julie Richardson Nursing Home in November 2023. From our first visit it was evident that Dad was receiving excellent care, and that there are always plenty of staff available to ensure everyone’s needs are met. Visitors receive a warm welcome and are made to feel part of a family. The staff treat residents with courtesy and dignity. They take time to get to know each individual personally and pay attention to every detail. We have every confidence in the team at this care home. They managed to take Dad out on short trips locally, for which we are very grateful. My mother and I were able to enjoy a lovely Christmas lunch there, with Dad, on Christmas Day. There is a happy and vibrant community at the care home. The staff are very knowledgeable, hard-working and dedicated. I would like to thank them for looking after Dad so well.
So happy to see the great improvements in my father since I could last visit him in 2019. The staff are outstanding and provide the best care. Everyone is cheerful and my father is so much better - physically and mentally. Thank you to all.
We were all welcomed on arrival. Communication was excellent. The care and Doctor's involvement when required was remarkable. The well-being of our relative was paramount to all involved so he would have as a good quality of life as possible. We are so grateful and the end-of-life care was sympathetic and effective.
Whenever we have visited, my relative's care has been exceptional and it is my impression that this has been the case throughout and not just for our benefit.
My sister has been with this home for some time and has greatly benefited from the staff's patience. She is a much calmer person now. Physically, she looks very well, eats well and can have friendly chats with staff; they are good at judging her mood, which means if she wants to sit quietly, she can. She eats well. They make sure there are always fluids available for her, which is important. I am very impressed with the manager; she seems to have an endless drive to bring quality care into the home and enthuses the staff to feel the same. That includes entertainment. I have met pleasant, caring attitudes towards myself and other family members, which are very supportive. So, thank you, team, for all you do, your skills, your hearts and your hard work.
Everyone is very kind and helpful. The staff are excellent and they are friendly and lovely people.
My husband has received compassionate care and assistance from all the staff. They make an effort to talk to him and to find out about him. I find them very friendly, caring and approachable.
Since my wife has been at The Julie Richardson Nursing Home, the service and staff have been marvellous. Nothing has been too much to ask. Seeing my wife happy and cared for is a great relief. Thank you all.
Very pleased with the care and attention my wife is having for dementia. Thank you.
Whenever I visit my brother (once a week for an hour or more at the present time), all the staff are always friendly and welcoming. I can see that my brother is being extremely well looked after, and this helps give me great peace of mind.
Have found all staff friendly, courteous and professional to residents and visitors. Owners and management ready to listen to any suggestions offered.
Mum spent a month in the Julie Richardson Nursing Home. When she went in, I thought that she would not come out! The care and dedication given by the staff at the nursing home has made a huge difference and four weeks later, she came home. We are very happy with the level of care that was given and the professional support given.
