View Full Details of Brookfield Care HomeThe staff are friendly and helpful whenever I come to visit my elderly mother. The staff are always helpful and friendly whenever I telephone my mother and or any of the staff. The staff always help the best way they can when I raise my mother's needs and concerns.
My husband now has two families, and he is very settled. The staff are so good to him, and it is very genuine. When I visit, the same genuine care is shown to me and the family and that is all the staff that are there from carers to catering - the food is excellent. The office staff are always helpful when get in touch, their rooms are always clean and tidy. One of the places he likes is the craft room he may not do a lot of craft, but he loves his cup of tea and company. As the home is on a social media platform, a lot of what they do is put on there, and I always look forward to what they are doing and keep all the photos.
The staff here are doing a very challenging job but our experience has been that they are doing a good job and have shown real kindness and respect to my mother-in-law. We are very grateful for this place and the friendliness and warmth of the staff. Thank you.
I visited my aunt whilst on holiday from Australia. I found the home to be basic and needs a good refurb. Staff seemed nice although I do think they should check on the residents more regularly in the lounge areas. Food very poor. I did think staff in the activity room were very friendly, it looked a great fun room but in my opinion, needs to be a lot bigger.
Volunteering here has been quite satisfying. I have had the pleasure of interacting with lovely people and putting smiles on the faces of the residents. I have equally learnt quite a lot and I am happy to be in this space. I must say, I look forward to coming here because it lifts my spirit. Brookfield Care Home is simply amazing.
Mum has been here since the middle of February, and we have been very happy with her stay here so far. She feels at home and safe. All the staff including carers, nurses, and housekeepers are very helpful and polite at all times. If any problems need sorting you only have to ask somebody and its seen too asap. Mum also is very happy with the meals that are provided daily (a good and different option easy day).
Sadly it was not a fit environment for an elderly person who is deaf but has complete mental capacity. No encouragement to live life however long or short that may be. My relative has complex health needs to prolong his life but the whole place seems to be about running people down to die. Something the staff probably deal with daily and becomes just part of the job.
I spent many hours at Brookfield during my aunt's time there. The staff are caring and efficient and frequently go above and beyond to provide excellent care for residents and to support families.
My brother seems to be happy living here and constantly praises the food. I personally feel that he is being cared for adequately and the home feels like a secure environment.
I have found my mum's care to be very good. She has up and down days.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The corridors are bright with lovely displays of all the activities that have been happening.
Happy with the overall experience. Staff friendly and helpful. Impressed with the attention given to keeping clients safe and minimising falls.
My mum is very happy the home. It was a big move leaving her friendly home. after almost 70 years. The staff at the home are great, caring and friendly. She has made friends enjoys the social activities and is happy.
The staff are friendly. My aunt is always clean and well-fed. The room is clean. Her room overlooks the garden with a planter full of flowers outside the window. Staff are approachable and helpful.
From the first time I came here, not one person here come up to me and said "Hello, you must be the resident's partner", which would mean a lot to me. My partner would like a haircut and his beard shaved.
Excellent.
I have found the staff friendly and caring. The building is bright and welcoming, although the bedrooms are rather small. However, as there are various activities on offer, residents do not need to spend all the time in their rooms. The small dining rooms are very much nicer than a large, noisy hall. Residents who require wheelchairs (and are not demanding) may sometimes feel a little frustrated that they can't go where they want when they want. On the whole, Brookfield seems quite homely.
Mum has lived at Brookfield Care Home since February 2023. They supported us before she moved in with a tour, and answering loads of questions. On the day of moving in, the handyman was extremely helpful as were all the staff. The staff are exceptional - nothing is too much trouble, and the consistency of care and attention is wonderful. Mum took a few weeks to settle but is contented and happy, and well looked after. On noticing that she was losing a bit of weight after moving in (normal apparently), they monitored it weekly until she started to put it back on. A few pieces of clothing have gone missing and of course there are always a few niggles, but overall I can't fault the place. We initially were disappointed that the rooms were not fully ensuite (with showers), but actually it means we are now sure Mum is having a shower because someone has to take her! Thank you Brookfield for taking such good care of our mum, which means we know she is safe and happy.
As a volunteer, I see kindness and good humour demonstrated by carers and nursing staff. The creative activities facilitated by the activities team are imaginative and inclusive. My involvement is mainly with the regular Thursday church service and I see residents who appreciate this spiritual input and in particular respond to the opportunity to sing hymns and worship together. This is an aspect of Brookfield which I feel is particularly important.
I find Brookfields as a nice homely residents home. The staff are very helpful and never too busy to help. As my sister's family, we are happy that she is here. Well done all.
