View Full Details of Ferendune CourtMy partner spent a week in respite care and we both found the management and staff helpful, kind and attentive and would not hesitate to recommend Ferundune. Visiting relatives were always treated with kindness and hospitality.
Staff very welcoming and helpful. Clean and tidy environment. Feel happy my dad is here being very well looked after. Very happy with the room.
Beautiful care home. Staff very caring and helpful - nothing too much trouble. Great activities for the residents. Food well cooked and presented. Very well run home.
My experience of Ferendune Court during my wife's 15 month stay has always been excellent. The care and love shown to her by all the staff especially in her final weeks and days was exceptional. Looking after residents with dementia is challenging and I was impressed by the cheerful and supportive way my wife was cared for. I could not have wished for a more peaceful environment for her.
Mum, has now been in Ferendune Court care home for 13 months. My knowledge and experience of care homes was very limited prior to mum going in, so whilst I took a while to get used to the workings of the home mum settled in immediately. Given there are many individuals with different care needs in the home, from my observations and dealings with many of the carers over the last 13 months they do a remarkable job of making residents feel special and in keeping them involved (There really are many activities ). The kindness, care and patience mum has received puts my mind at rest that her last years will be as good as they could be, so a big thank you to everybody involved at Ferendune.
My father has dementia and has been struggling with mobility. My mother was his sole carer at home and his health declined very quickly. I have been so impressed with all the staff at Ferendune. Initial conversations about respite care were efficient and sensitive. When my father could no longer be looked after at home all the assessments were completed and he went into care at a crucial moment. The thought and care I have seen on every visit, with every email has been amazing. I cannot thank the staff enough.
My father hasn't been there long but so far all seems fantastic. His flat is lovely and has all that he needs, he is happy with the food and love that he is always offered a drink or snack. There always seem lots for them to do which is nice to see.
My mother is extremely well looked after at Ferendune Court Care Home. She has dementia. The staff are friendly and welcoming, many of whom are local and have been working at the home for many years. They make every effort to get to know my mother and provide the best care in a happy environment. We are very happy with the home we have chosen.
What an extraordinary and wonderful place, the staff are truly exceptional, they are all very warm, friendly and genuinely engaged in the residents' lives, and do all they can to ensure they are happy, content and well taken care of, it's a joy to visit my 80-year-old mom here. She is always well-kept, clean and showered, well dressed, and her apartment is always immaculately clean, she is well looked after with the many teatimes, and delicious meals brought to her room. We all enjoyed the recent open day, where mom happily sat and watched the live music, raffles, and BBQ, and even joined the Conga Line. Thank you so very much to all of the wonderful staff, mom's happiness means the world to us.
It is early days for my dad. Everyone is kind and courteous to him. He is finding his way around and it is never too much trouble for the staff to listen and talk through anything you want to discuss.
My mother has been at Ferendune Court for 8 months now, and we are very happy with her care, and with all aspects of the care home. We have had a couple of family meals there (the latest one was yesterday, with 6 of us joining my mum for lunch) and we have been made very welcome. The staff have been so kind and efficient in organising rooms and tables for us. Also, the meals have been delicious.
My wife was discharged from the hospital to a placement at Ferendune in July. When she arrived she had severe mobility issues. Within a week with the help and encouragement from the carers she was walking around with very little help. As well as the in-house activities she is regularly taken out for coffee mornings and has been to the seaside. I couldn't wish for better care and knowing that she has settled well into a safe environment is a great comfort to me. The management and administration are excellent.
We as a family believe Mum is in a very good place, staff brilliant, room good, enjoys all activities and all her excursions. The meals are very good and varied. Mum is always clean and well-dressed. We are very pleased we chose your residence, thank you all staff.
As a family, we are pleased that mum is now in a safe environment and all her care needs are catered for. The staff are always friendly and very professional. Mum is the happiest we have seen her for many years since moving into the Care Home.
My mum has been living at Ferendune Court for a couple of years now. She is very happy there and is looked after very well. The home is very clean, tidy and welcoming, I am also informed of any health concerns immediately by the caring and friendly staff there, my mum enjoys all the activities and outings that are arranged by the home, and the food there is of good quality and she can choose which she prefers to eat they have sample plates from which the residents can see which meal they would like, this is a brilliant idea as it gives everyone a choice of food because they can see what they are eating! My mum has settled into care very well and because she is in an area she knows makes it even better. It is very reassuring to know that my mum is looked after and cared for so well, and would not hesitate to recommend Ferendune Court.
Fabulous, kind, professional, and thoughtful care. Mum was at Ferendune Court for about 15 months, and her care was exemplary from the minute she arrived there right up to the moment of her death at the end of February. I couldn’t have wished for more.
Mum has enjoyed her stay. Everybody ie; staff, have been so lovely. Thank you so much, hope to see you again soon.
My mum was only at Ferendune Court for 3 weeks before she died. What would have helped the family was: 1. Being provided with clear written details of what was provided by the care home and what needs to be provided by the family such as teatowels, blanket sheets and incontinence pads. Most information was given verbally and you can't always remember it when organising a person into a care home. 2. Daily call from the care home each day for the first week or so to say how she is settling in! It was always the family calling the care home!
We moved our mum here from another care home and the difference is unbelievable. Every member of staff we come across is not only lovely but so helpful to us and mum. The senior staff are so informative and know every aspect of mum's care without having to check! Mum has dementia so for us as a family it’s been hell, Ferendune has changed all that and we’ve gone back to being her children and not her carers. All the feelings that go with having a family member with Dementia guilt, worry, upset I could go on have been taken away by the amazing staff that care for mum and also extend that to us!
Nursing homes were very new to us. We have been welcomed by all the staff and helped through this very difficult time. I love the honesty when we have approached staff and management alike. It is a benefit to me that I live locally and can visit my husband any time of day. Thank you Ferendune.
