View Full Details of Meadow View Nursing HomeMy husband was admitted as an emergency. The staff were helpful, sympathetic and efficient. He has since been well cared for with all the multiple needs cared for. He has never once said he wanted to come home which I think speaks for itself.
The care staff are extremely attentive and obliging to all the resident's needs. They have an excellent relationship with the residents and they go above and beyond to assist and care for individual requirements. There are great social events on the daily programmes which Mum participates in, something she did not do at first. The care home is always clean and tidy and Mum always looks nicely dressed. The management are polite and are approachable should we need to discuss anything to do with Mum's welfare.
I've noticed an improvement in my dad's mental health since he's been at Meadow View. His physical health is also much better than expected due to the care and attention of the staff and doctors. It's reassuring g to know that he's in good hands. Considering he never wanted to leave his own home, he seems happy and settled.
From the first day of arrival at Meadow View Nursing Home, we, as loving members of his family were so relieved to be greeted by several welcoming smiling faces. Any concerns that we may have contemplated prior to arrival, were soon put aside. Our much-loved relative is settled in a considerably kind, caring environment, for which we are so grateful.
From the day my mother went into Meadow View, the staff have been kind, caring and very friendly. I cannot find one thing that I am not happy with concerning the care my mother is receiving. The staff always deal with any problems straight away.
My wife is certainly happier and more talkative since the kitchen started purifying her food. Because at one time, she was eating nothing and saying very little. I thank them for that. From my point of view, it makes communicating much better, albeit at times very muddled.
When we were told Mum would go to Meadow View we were all apprehensive. But from the 1st arrival of the ambulance bringing Mum it has been the most caring, happy and understanding staff we could wish for. Nothing was too much trouble, it's warm and cosy and a very happy place. Wonderful.
My mum has been a resident at Meadow View for the past 15 months and I have always found the carers helpful, welcoming, and happy to answer any questions. The carers are attentive and address Mum's needs especially with food preparation when eating became a struggle for her. They also encourage Mum to get involved in daily activities around the home.
My sister has been at Meadow View since 2015, and in all that time we have never had cause to complain or even question the care she receives. The whole team is efficient caring and friendly both to residents and visitors and ensures the dignity of the residents is assured. She's as happy as we have ever seen her. I can only commend the team including the management for keeping my sister and other residents safe in the way they handled things through covid, well done to all of you.
My husband has been a resident for almost 2 1/2 years and although it took a while due to his mental health issues he does now seem settled. The staff are friendly and caring towards my husband and myself and deal with his behaviours in a positive and reassuring way and although he doesn't want to join in most activities he does enjoy the music sessions. Thank you to everyone for your continued care and support for both of us.
Mum has high needs through dementia. She moved to Meadow View in June 2023 after seven years in another home. The changes were immediate and refreshing. She spends more time with other residents, eats more readily and seems more content. It's hard to explain, our mum can't communicate verbally, but she just seems happier. I couldn't be more pleased.
I'm pleased with the way my father has settled into the home. So friendly towards him, and to us. He is always clean and tidy. Happy to help feed him, when needed. I am kept informed at all times. Staff are always helpful and kind.
A care home can never replicate your parents' home but Meadow View gets as close as one can, to make both residents, family and visitors feel they have entered a personal home. From the warm welcome at the door to everyone you meet, throughout the home, it must be a nice place, as the residents make you feel welcome too. My mother spent the last 4 weeks of her life at Meadow View in April 2023, now my father calls Meadow View home. Dad moved in around 8 months later, straight from the hospital, although suffering from worsening dementia, I can see the improvement in his general health and happiness. His care has been everything Dad and I would want, the staff at Meadow View provide amazing, compassionate care and response to everyone they come in contact with. I can now sleep at night knowing Dad is in safe and caring hands.
The food is poor for people with no teeth.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with the care she receives. We are always made welcome. We are always approached in a friendly manner by all staff members. My only comment would be for the garden to be made safe for all residents to use in the summer.
We receive a warm welcome when visiting the home. The environment is warm and friendly. The residents appear to be happy and well looked after. We know we can rest assured that everything is being done for my mother-in-law.
They go above and beyond what you would expect. My mother has been a resident for the past two and a half years, and in September this year, she was admitted to the hospital for a simple procedure and was discharged on palliative care. If she had stayed in the hospital, she would have certainly died, but the care home staff didn't give up on her and nursed her back to health - they are literally lifesavers.
My father-in-law only spent a very short time with you at the end of his life. This time was made so much more bearable by your kind, experienced and compassionate team. All of his and our needs were catered for. He had a lovely garden view, which was extra splendid. Thank you.
My wife has been at Meadow View since 6th of December 2020. She has dementia and is unable to communicate properly. She is nearly 92 (next May). She does seem to have settled in at Meadow View and enjoys being taken for a brew most days. The staff are very patient with her and take good care of her. Thank you all so much; I appreciate it very much. She is very precious to me.
So glad to have picked this home for my wife's last months. From the start, the care, attention, nursing and all other services were without fault in a homely and friendly family atmosphere. Services and attention from all staff, at all times, was superb. Well done.
