View Full Details of Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing HomeThe staff are very welcoming and friendly. The ration of staff to residents seems to be very high and my Aunt is extremely happy with the care and help they give to her. She was extremely anxious before becoming a resident about life in general. Since becoming a resident she has given up smoking sleeps much better and is generally more relaxed. I can only conclude that this is a result of the excellent staff and management.
My husband was at Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing Home for 4 years before passing away in December 2024. The care he received at Coxwell was second to none and we feel very fortunate that we found Coxwell when we were looking. My husband was always clean and tidy and his room was cosy and welcoming. There are regular activities for residents to get involved and lovely gardens. The food is good and nutritious and adjustments made if needed for diet. Residents are encouraged to keep as active as they can and when mobility declines, the staff still try to encourage a few steps where possible. The staff always have a ready smile and willing to make you a cuppa, and offer support during difficult days. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Coxwell who looked after him with such care and dignity. Your kindness, compassion and attention to detail have meant so much to us and we take comfort from knowing that he was always in such safe hands. Coxwell, I feel, is the nursing home upon which all others should be modelled.
Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing Home continues to provide excellent care for my daughter which is a great comfort to me and my family. Although my daughter has no recognition of anyone and cannot communicate with her family, she is perfectly happy which is the main thing.
I have been most impressed by the care and attention given to detail. My husband is always well presented, shaved and contented. This also applies to other residence. My husband is a fussy eater but every effort is made to provide what he provide what he prefers. I would recommend Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing Home for anyone looking for a happy friendly place for their loved ones. Thank you all.
Very welcome. Coffee served to me within 10 mins. My husband was well dressed. His finger nails were dirty. He really enjoyed his fish pie lunch and diabetic cake and custard. The staff always treat him with respect. I highly recommend Coxwell Hall to anyone looking to place a loved one into care.
My mum has been at Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing Home for around 3 years now and in the later stage of dementia. I cannot give enough praise to the wonderful caring staff. My mum settled quickly and always has a laugh and smile with the carers. It's been given a makeover but that's immaterial, nothing could replace the warm and homely feel to Coxwell Hall. They are a family and include the relatives in the fold. Excellent!!!
The home is well run with caring staff. They always take time to talk to you and give you a cup of tea. They provide excellent care for my wife.
My wife has been a resident at Coxwell Hall & Mews Nursing Home for over three years and I consider myself to be well placed to form an opinion on her care. The premises have recently been undergoing extensive renovation which is now largely complete. The staff however, remain the organisation's primary asset, by staff, I mean everybody. They are consistently good humoured and outgoing. They promptly act on any concerns that I may have and maintain the high standard that I have come to expect.
Yesterday whilst visiting my mum we noticed she wasn't quite herself. I mentioned it to the staff nurse and immediately she did checks on her and called 111. The paramedics were called and they told me they were impressed with the handover from the nurse. My niece and I were at the home until late afternoon and all the staff were amazing with mum and us. I can honestly say the home and staff are amazing.
Our congratulations to Coxwell Hall. It's a home with a huge heart, and last week's fete showed the dedication of their staff for organising a most enjoyable afternoon, and gave huge pleasure to the residents and visitors alike. My husband has been a resident for a couple of months now and it's a great comfort to me and our children to know that he is being well looked after by such a caring team. Thank you.
What a wonderful day we had at the summer fete! So much thought and effort had been put into the day. You gave us something I thought we had lost forever; you gave us precious memories, of a wonderful few hours with Mum, to carry with us always. Your attention was noted and we cannot thank you enough for not only this day but every day Mum spends with you, her family, in her home!
My husband has recently moved into this nursing home and has settled in well. He is a lot more relaxed and contented. Given his condition, I feel he is as happy as he can be. He can be awkward at times but this is handled well by the staff.
The location and staff are outstanding. The use of Myo (or equivalent is vital for a family of a resident). The back office requires a little modernisation. I have an issue with the Direct Debit process.
My mother is getting the best care from the amazing staff at the care home. Since being at the care home my mother has made friends with the other people in the care home. I am happy that she is in a safe environment and all her needs are being met.
Very good communication regarding my Mother's care. Whenever she has a fall or anything I am informed and advised of the circumstances and what action if any is taken. The use of the health program is very useful and my mother seems to enjoy participating in the many programs and events. She certainly appears to be well cared for in very difficult circumstances and treated with dignity.
My sister was at Coxwell Hall for 5 months it was only a short time but my sister's needs were met completely by excellent staff who cared with such compassion for my sister and me.
The staff continue to be so caring and friendly whilst doing a very difficult job. They always make you very welcome and are more than happy to answer any questions we may have. I feel confident that my husband is being well cared for despite knowing how difficult he can be. Many thanks to all the staff.
It’s hard to know where to begin on how best to compliment Coxwell. My Dad has now been a resident since May 2021, and Coxwell feels like home and the staff feel like family to us. My dad has a complex dementia and is now on end-of-life care. My dad is treated with dignity and most of all, there is a genuine feeling of love that comes through from all staff. Carers are the most amazing, dedicated people. Watching them care for Dad has been the silver lining at the end stages of this difficult illness. I am so pleased we chose Coxwell. The manager is a fantastic leader and I feel any questions are answered quickly and I feel supported and valued. There has been major renovation works going on, but disruption to residents has been kept to a minimum. It’s so good to see investment into the care home where it’s needed. Regular relative meetings and parties have been a wonderful way to connect and hear about updates and be involved. Thank you so much to all staff for all that you do.
Coxwell is a lovely, friendly home with really caring staff. I am confident that my mother is happy and in great hands. The home renovations have massively improved the look and feel of the home.
My partner has been a resident at Coxwell since April 2023 and I can’t believe how lucky we are to have found such a lovely Care Home. All the staff are so caring and so welcoming to me. I have to travel some distance to visit and originally thought at a later date my partner could be moved nearer home but I would not do that now as I do not think he could get the same care anywhere else! I have not given five stars for facilities and rooms as the home is presently going through a major renovation but what they have achieved so far is really, really, good and to the benefit of the residents. The renovations are taking some time as any disruption to the residents is the first consideration in everything the home plans to do. I can relax at home knowing my partner is being very well cared for and that he is happy.
