View Full Details of Triangle Care HomeA lovely comfortable home from home. Relatives are kept informed of any changes. The care he receives is excellent.
Mum was only at Triangle for three days, she was discharged from hospital for end of life care. During that time the staff at the Triangle were so helpful, kind and compassionate at a very difficult time for myself and my family. Thank you to all Triangle staff.
I wanted to record how grateful our family is for the care our Mum received at the Triangle. She passed last month in a safe, secure and loving environment characterised by amazing people doing an amazing job. She made genuine connections with many of the staff and my father, who was at her side all day every day, was made to feel really welcome. We will definitely look in from time to time to say hello and thankyou again for all that you did for her and for him.
A care home that's friendly, homely and caring, all the staff are gentle attentive and look after the residents well. Hygiene is very good and the residents have regular baths and showers all the home always smelt nice and clean, and the care home is warm, cosy and very welcoming. My mother required 100 percent care and they fulfilled this adequately, her needs were always met and the regular staff faces which is a bonus was great for Mum as she was comfortable with them and knew them which in hand not only put my mind at rest but Mum's too.
The Triangle Care Home has provided a wonderful, high-class care service for my mother for a long time, as well as providing a source of support for my father visiting her - making him feel part of their family. I have personally seen and felt how deeply the staff care for both of them.
On visiting the care home I have found the staff helpful and friendly, the home is very clean and tidy. Our resident has said the food is good and the staff look after her. I'm sorry that I can't give a rating for Value for Money because I don't deal with the money side of the care.
I have visited many care homes in the past for elderly family but none have come up to the standard of Triangle Care Home. The home is spotlessly clean, the staff are very friendly and caring. I was a little worried at first as it is quite a way to travel but after visiting the home several times, although having to rely on other transport I am thrilled with how well she has settled in and how kind the staff are and encourage her in activities. Brilliant.
We find the care home very friendly clean and welcoming. The staff are friendly respectful to visitors and most of all to the residents. My friend loves the staff and they always find time to talk with her. She has never complained about the food, and most of all there is always a cup of tea to hand, the visitors are also asked if we would like tea too. We know times are not easy with people with Dementia but the staff are brilliant in coping with people's lack of memory.
Very friendly and professional staff which makes residents and visitors welcome. They listen to residents and understand different needs for different people. Very prompt and professional response when medical emergency happened and kept us informed and calm.
When my neighbour was moved to Triangle, I was initially concerned because it is quite a drive from where we live and I did not know the Care Home at all. But from the very first day, I have been nothing but impressed with the care my neighbour received up til her death. The nursing staff are dedicated, knowledgeable and loving, and all the assistants are cheerful and efficient. The food was clearly particularly valued by my neighbour! Yes, the decor is rather tired compared to some of the snazzy brand new care homes around, but what mattered far more was the high standard of *actual care* given. This includes actual medical care, which was very good, and changes in medication meant my neighbour was much happier plus, in the final weeks, the Hospital at Home team came in.
The manager is totally professional and very personable and always goes out of her way to communicate and update me with regard to my mother. My mother is extremely well cared for, she is bed-bound and is always very comfortable and brilliantly tended to by the fabulous team of carers employed.
Now some twenty months into my wife's residence in Triangle Care Home, I am very grateful for the loving care which she continues to receive. As for all such homes, the times have been challenging, with frequent changes of manager, staff and residents: despite which the basic structure of the working day has been well maintained. The attention to cleanliness is very satisfactory, and the standard of food remains excellent. Sadly, her cognitive and physiological impairments, due to dementia and stroke, continue to improve only very slowly with some neuro-physiotherapy procured privately, they still militate against her deriving much stimulus from being read to, watching TV or joining in communal activity. Our children and I would very much have wanted to respond positively to her desire to be nursed at home, but following close consultation with Aldult Health Social Care have set this aside, on the grounds that it would not of itself bring about any significant amelioration in her condition; that she is safer in Triangle Care Home, that my own strength has deteriorated appreciably in the meantime and it would imply a need for substantial additional finance on our part. Bringing her over occasionally in the wheelchair is an attempted substitute. I greatly appreciate the forbearance of staff with my spending most of each day with my wife, married to her for now 59 years, being retired and living exceptionally close I could not bear to think of her feeling alone or abandoned.
We have found all the staff friendly and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble. They meet the needs of my relative and go above and beyond. We haven't marked activities due to her not wanting to attend, but the staff always check with her. They make sure she is comfortable, always popping in to see her. We are very happy with the care and attention she receives at the care home.
I visited my Nan weekly here. Always short-staffed, never staff around to speak to about care of my Nan. Constant new manager. No one ever had any time with residents while I was there. Just shoved food in their mouths without asking them, same with drinks just like a production line. Left my Nan on a broken bed for a day and would have longer if we hadn't made them move her, luckily we visited her that day! Just constant issues. Thank goodness we got her out. Such a depressing place, my mother-in-law (ex-care home manager/nurse) was disgusted by the things she saw and heard while on her weekly visits to see my nan. Stay clear of the place.
Finally, we moved mum on 24 November 2022 with the support of social services. Please no one use this home. It is now under safeguarding and social service inspection. Please read the latest CQC which says that most areas need improvement including the safety of residents. This home should be closed down.
From the front door, it is unwelcoming, it is dated - in the lounge, it could do with a total makeover with new furniture instead of second-hand stuff which has been damaged by a cat in a previous life and food stains on them. The bedroom has an old wardrobe, the doors are broken, and I think it has not seen a lick of paint since it was built. The management does not listen properly and tell you what they think you want to hear and do nothing about what you want. Personally, I think it should be shut down, it is not fit for purpose.
We, as a family, would like to thank all the carers and staff at The Triangle care home for the care and compassion you have shown our mother. You looked after her so well. She was treated with dignity and empathy in the same way you treated us, as her family. We will always remember your kindness.
The Triangle is a happy, friendly environment where the staff are very kind and patient. Management is efficient and understanding. The food is good and varied. It is not a super-smart place with lots of rules and regulations. The atmosphere is kind and friendly. I warmly recommend the Triangle.
The restrictions due to the Covid pandemic has meant that we have been unable to see several aspects of the home; hence some of the options have not been assessed. However, staff at the Triangle have been excellent in trying to manage the situation in the best way possible for the benefit and safety of the residents.
Our Mum and Dad were both residents at the Triangle for just under a year. When they first arrived both our parents were given a very warm and friendly welcome as were we every time we visited them. It's a hard decision putting your loved ones into a care home, but the staff at the Triangle were very kind and considerate, making it a smooth transition. So a big thank you to all the staff at the Triangle.
