View Full Details of Ashley Park Care HomeI am hugely grateful to all the staff and carers at Ashley Park for being so kind and generous with their time and attention to my father. The home offers a wonderful environment and a calm and supportive atmosphere in a beautiful setting. I always enjoy seeing the peacocks roaming in the gardens and it's lovely to see the residents enjoying the gardens too when the weather allows.
I had a short stay at Ashley Park from May to July with a fractured knee the staff were very good, kind, and very patient as I was bed-bound for a short time but they got me back on my feet and walking around the grounds, the chef was very accommodating with my food, the room overlooked the lawn with the peacock visiting outside my window most days, the doctor came on a Monday if I needed him but the nurses did a very good job as well, it was good to have a hairdresser and different activities to do each day if you wanted to join in but you were not forced to join in. All in all everyone and everything was a good experience if I need to go into a care home again I would choose Ashley Park.
My sister was very happy at Ashley Park. The staff are all very friendly and we couldn't have asked for a better home. It was always a pleasure visiting and we are very grateful for the care and support which was provided.
My mother came to Ashley Park following a fall at home and whilst mourning the loss of my dad a few months earlier. During her time at Ashley Park, she was treated with respect and dignity with staff going above and beyond to try and cater to her needs when she allowed them to. Thank you to everyone for giving her the love and care she deserved.
The manager and her team were very welcoming when we visited for the first time. The manager spent time explaining all about the care home, the activities that are run there and the day-to-day care for residents. The setting is lovely, and the staff are pleasant. As a family, we were very grateful for the care and support while Dad was at Ashley Park Care Home.
Beautiful home but it's the staff that make it. No job is too big or too small for them. Staff are caring, attentive and very friendly. My uncle has been happy and well looked after, we really couldn't ask for a better place.
We were grateful for the warm welcome and the friendly attention by the staff. The room was immaculate and well-furnished. The basic feeling was of a high-quality home in splendid surroundings. Highly reommended.
I have a relative who resides at Ashley Park, and I will often visit. The house itself and the grounds are beautiful. The staff are so friendly and do a wonderful job looking after the elderly. Thank you for all that you do.
Mum has been at Ashley Park for over a year. We were very anxious as Mum did not want to go into a care home but the manager and her team were very helpful and the transition was very smooth. Mum has settled in now and is happy and content. The home is clean friendly inviting and the staff caring. There is entertainment and events for the residents and families. The food cooked on the premises by a chef is nutritious and tasty, we have had lunch with Mum and they have been good. We had a Christmas family get-together at Ashley Park and we thoroughly enjoyed our day with Mum. It felt like we were all back at Mum’s enjoying our family get-togethers. Mum was very happy. The lunch with the same menu as the residents was excellent. Thank you all for making our day a memorable one.
My mother moved into Ashley Park for respite care after a hip/leg break. The staff have been excellent and have made my mother feel at home and kept her spirits up as she struggled with her lack of independence. We have been very happy with the care and have extended her stay.
My mother is a new resident at Ashley Park Care Home and she’s already looking and feeling better after a long hospital stay. The carers are very kind, friendly and attentive and nothing seems too much trouble. The food is freshly cooked on the premises with many choices to encourage nutrition. The grounds are beautiful with a selection of areas to sit and explore. There is a variety of entertainment and activities, a visiting hairdresser and foot health practitioner and a doctor who visits the home each Monday. There is a lovely buzz in the home of residents enjoying the TV lounge, dining room and gardens and not just stuck in their rooms. Even before my mother moved into Ashley Park, the manager went above and beyond to help coordinate my mother's transfer - so I was heartened to know how efficient and helpful they were, which gives me peace of mind for my mother’s care moving forward. A big thank you to the manager and her team for making my mother feel so welcome and cared for.
For us, as much as the grounds, the building, and the location have a tranquillity about them, it's the team at Ashley Park that stood out during my grandmother's stay this year. From the minute we walked in the door (my mother went every day for 3.5 months), we were greeted with compassion and great care. The front-of-house team went above and beyond to be gentle, kind, sensitive, and above all, mindful of the circumstances. My grandmother sadly had a harrowing end-of-life experience, and the doctors, nurses, carers, and management team took so much care of her it brought us all some peace. My grandmother repeatedly said, "they take such good care of me; they are so good to me", despite her pain and extenuating circumstances. We hold the entire team at Ashley Park, including external agency nurses specializing in end-of-life care, in the highest regard and with the utmost respect. We would recommend Ashley Park without hesitation.
Ashley Park cared for my late father for many years. Through this time, the manager and her magnificent team, looked after dad with patience and compassion, always respecting him as an individual and maintaining his dignity throughout his declining health. I will always be grateful to Ashley Park. Thank you all.
My mother, who is 94, was at Ashley Park for a month to convalesce after a spell in hospital. The care home is run extremely efficiently by the management team and all the nurses and carers were very kind and helpful to my mother. She felt very safe and well looked after and was visited by a GP once a week, which was reassuring. Her room was large and bright and had a lovely view of the gardens which, as she got stronger, we were able to walk in and enjoy the autumn sunshine. When visiting, my sister, brothers and I were always made very welcome and the staff took the time to talk to us about how our mother was progressing. My thanks go to all the staff who looked after my mother so well.
I was invited to attend a "Silver" lunch last Sunday. The lunch was good and the wine went down well! After lunch, we were entertained by a really good keyboard sing-along. I especially enjoyed watching the residents singing along. Some of them I have never heard speak before! They were all really engaged with the activity and obviously enjoyed it. Thank you so much for inviting me.
Mum (now 99) has been a permanent resident in Ashley Park since December 2021. My wife and I are regular visitors and find the staff welcoming and extremely helpful, with any queries or concerns being answered promptly. The combination of the more traditional and well-proportioned building and the extensive grounds - with an amazing range of wildlife - make for a calm and peaceful experience. Food is varied and well-prepared with individual requests catered for, laundry is efficiently processed and GP advice is available whenever it's needed. With new staff now in place, the activities programme has revitalised and offers a good range of things to take part in. Mum's overall experience has been very positive and she is content.
Mum was made to feel very welcome during her recent respite stay at Ashley Park. All the staff were attentive to her individual needs and although a non-permanent resident, they ensured she felt a part of the home throughout. There was a good range of activities on offer each week and Mum enjoyed participating in these. The home has a calm atmosphere and is set in beautiful grounds, although Mum was unable to take full advantage of these due to her limited mobility and the need for some assistance when outdoors. Mum had a large room but the ensuite bathroom was difficult for her to manage, in particular the steps and the difficulty posed by having to stand at the handbasin when washing. Overall, we can recommend Ashley Park for a short respite stay and thank all the staff for their care during Mum's time with them.
I visited Ashley Park Care Home recently and was pleasantly surprised by the splendour of the home. The staff made my wife and I feel very welcomed and the residents appeared contented. I would encourage anyone to visit.
Ashley Park Care Home took in my mother and father with a combined age of 189. They were both delighted with the light airy surroundings, the bedroom facilities and the wonderful garden with views across to the North Downs. The care staff made the transition very smooth and they both settled in well. Thanks.
My 96-year-old mother-in-law spent 18 months at Ashley Park, always said how happy she was to be there and particularly commented on the good food. She died peacefully in her own bed, having been well looked after by the local visiting GP. The standard of nursing and caring is high. It is a lovely building with beautiful grounds to enjoy in the summer.
