View Full Details of St Catherine's ManorI have never experienced anything like this. The staff right from reception, admin, carers, and management are all totally amazing, kind and friendly. I have been coming for 4 years and they have become like family to me. They are all truly amazing.
My family and I find St Catherine's Manor a good, caring home. My dad is happy with his carers and really looked after here. We appreciate all of you at St. Catherines.
My relative was worried about moving to a care home but since being in St Catherine’s, he has enjoyed the friendly, homely environment and the interactions with everyone from floor staff to management. He has told me that he doesn’t feel lonely anymore because there is always somebody around and he feels safe for the same reason.
With such a friendly and caring team of staff, I can rest assured knowing that my family members are being treated with compassion, dignity, and respect. I have never seen them look happier and more relaxed. The new manager is very approachable and has done wonders for the home in such a short space of time.
Been a very pleasant experience, management, admin, and nurses are all very helpful and pleasant. It was my first time in a care facility and didn’t know what to expect and was nervous. I was admitted for post-op convalescence care and rehabilitation for 5 days. The care was excellent and they met my physiotherapy needs. I will definitely recommend it.
I have the greatest respect for all the staff, for all the dedication and care they provide to the residents. The residents have various illnesses and most have some sort of dementia, so it can be very difficult. The staff still treat the residents with care and understanding.
St Catherine's Manor was great with my friendly. Although he was only there a day and a half, they were very accommodating, so polite and would apply any measure I asked of! He was so relieved and happy to come, and the view from his window was amazing. He loved it there!
My sister was in palliative care at St Catherine's for about three weeks before she passed away on 9th September 2022. She really loved the attention she received from the doctor and staff and enjoyed the lovely room and a television to keep up to date with outside news. The staff were so caring and the daily routines well managed, and she saw her friends regularly due to the flexible visiting hours. Congratulations, St Catherines.
My father has been at Catherine's care home for just over two years, and I have to say the service to not only the patients, but the family as well is outstanding! My father became a patient at the start of the lockdown, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were, and still are, always informed of any changes and made to feel comfortable at all times. The rooms are always clean, and the staff, especially the manager are extremely polite and caring at all times. I would highly recommend on all aspects of care.
My mother has been a resident at St Catherine’s since February 2021. She suffers from vascular dementia. The home itself is a pleasant setting and a homely environment. The manager is very polite and is an asset to St Catherine’s. The staff are very friendly and caring. I have a good relationship with all the staff and am updated regularly with my mother's health. The only negative is sometimes the laundry isn’t the best as some items have gone astray and some she has acquired. The other is long waits for answering the phone and the front door. Unfortunately, there isn’t a receptionist at the moment, and once this is resolved, I’m sure this will improve.
My mother and I chose St Catherine’s as a home for my late father and from the many homes we looked at St Catherine’s stood out a mile. My father was resident for roughly 6 years and my mother has now been resident here herself for the last 4 years or so. It’s chiefly the staff that make any place and the team here are fantastic. The current manager is fabulous, he always makes the effort to say hello and really tries to involve friends and relatives in what’s going on either via email or personally. The food at St Catherine’s is all home-cooked and is delicious and plentiful. The owners of St Catherine’s have not turned every available space into a bedroom, which has enabled visiting at St Catherine’s throughout a lot of lockdown. The team have set up WhatsApp facilities during Covid and are genuinely helpful and caring. There are little things like laundry that could be improved but the big things are what counts. I wouldn’t want my loved ones anywhere else. Thank you St Catherine's.
My mother has been in St Catherine's Manor since December 2019 on and off following a severe stroke which has left her in a wheelchair and suffering severe memory issues. The manager has been excellent and very accomodating and commutative. Mum has enjoyed the activities at the home recently during times when visits have not been possible. Being able to call the manager and other staff members for regular updates along with the option of video calls with Mum has been ideal, particularly as we live 4 hours away. The activity wellbeing co-ordinator has been really friendly and keeping Mum busy with activities. We also had a few photos recently, more please! Keep up the great work guys in these difficult times.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at St Catherine's Manor in Guildford. The care my mum received was excellent, she was made to feel very welcome and was well supported at all times. Although I was not able to visit the home due to Covid-19 I spoke to my mum on a daily basis and she always sounded happy and content, she especially enjoyed the lovely food! Thank you to the manager and staff
My mother came here after a very nasty fall and has dementia. From the moment she arrived to the moment she left the staff were absolutely brilliant. They cared for her like a family member. I cannot overstate how excellent her care was. The staff communicated with me regularly in regards to her care and nothing was too much trouble. All this was during the COVID lockdown but the staff ensured that my Mum was protected. I felt she was in really good hands and we were very reluctant to take her out. She now lives with me and she always talks about how welcoming and friendly the care home was. I can honestly say that I would have no hesitation in recommending St Catherine's to anyone who needs their relative cared for. A big thank you from both me and my Mum.
The residents are well maintained clean and pleasant. As a visitor I am always welcomed by all staff and the banta with staff is always friendly and well received. Cannot find any fault and no reason for any complaint.
St Catherine’s Manor is fantastic. The staff genuinely care and really like spending time with and helping the residents. They are all amazing! The food is good and the overall care is above and beyond.
Staff are extremely helpful and are a friendly group. Place clean and tidy. Decorating getting better.
My mother-in-law became a resident at St Catherine's Manor after a major stroke. The service and dedication of the staff are second to none, nothing is too much trouble and they are all so caring and loving towards all the residents and their facilities. I cannot think of anywhere I would rather he be and all of the staff from the manager are like a second family.
My mother has been a resident for over a year. The staff are so caring and have really got to know my mother and her needs and go the extra mile. My mother's extended family are always made to feel welcome and we can visit anytime. Since a new manager arrived there have been positive changes, the residents and relatives are always included in their care plans. It was a hard decision for my mother to go into residential care but she is so happy.
My Mum spent 18 months at St. Catherine's Manor. She was unable to get out of bed and needed 24-hour nursing care. The care given to her skin was better than the hospital. She got on really well with the staff. I found the carers seemed to know what she needed. She was asked what food she liked. They would cook something especially for her. We were also very well supported and listened to any concerns. Extremely caring and well run.
