View Full Details of Coppice LeaI find the staff friendly + helpful, patient and tackful with my rather difficult friend and the kitchen staff always try to offer food that is appreciated. Thank you for your care. I keep hoping that my friend will join in with more or at least some activities but I dont think that she does.
The Staff at Coppice Lea were outstanding in the care of my mother. It did not matter what their role was from cleaners, kitchen, house keeping, nurses, admin; they all got to know my mother and care for her in their different ways. When my mother was agitated, the nursing staff invested time sitting with her, caring and trying to distract her and calm her down. The staff were creative in providing things that would interest my mother, even printing articles in Dutch, which is her mother tongue or letting her sit in the Nurses office to make her feel important. There was a member of staff there every day, who would spend time engaging individuals in activities, and on special occasions they had Parties. When my mother's dementia became severe we had to move her. But I was aware that the staff had tried their hardest to keep her in a safe and happy environment. It was a sad day when we had to say Good Bye to the Coppice Lea staff.
My parents moved to Coppice Lea in December 2024. They have a large, spacious room which, like the whole building, is kept clean and fresh smelling. The staff are wonderful, caring and compassionate. Always friendly and welcoming whenever I visit. My parents are treated with respect and affection. Nothing is too much trouble, they are so patient! Food is fantastic. Visitors are welcomed and may eat with residents. Entertainment is varied with something to appeal to everyone. Special occasions are celebrated, we had a wonderful family party for my father's 90th. The grounds are beautiful and my father loves to walk with a carer, when he is well enough. Everything about Coppice Lea is done to a high standard, but what makes it exceptional is the care given by the staff. My parents are so very grateful for everything which is done for them, my mother calls the carers "love on legs"! My initial review was too long because there are so many wonderful things to say about Coppice Lea!
My mother recently moved into Coppice Lea. The care, kindness and attention is amazing. Mum recently celebrated her 105th birthday and they made her day so special. It's wonderful to know that mum is bring well looked after and is safe and has settled so quickly.
The level of care and service this home offers is exceptional. My aunt has been there for over 3 weeks now and all of the staff have delivered a level of care and support to her that has made a massive difference to her standard of living. The building itself and the surrounding grounds provide a picturesque environment, and the rooms and internal facilities are well laid out and immaculately maintained. The staff are proactively engaged in not just looking after the residents, you can see that they genuinely care for the people that are staying there and go out of their way to meet everybody's need as individuals. I would have no hesitation in recommending Coppice Lea to anyone.
It is such a friendly home, the staff are so warm and friendly. The surroundings are lovely, it is a beautiful home. Everyone works really hard and they really care about the residents. My mum has been very happy since moving in.
Thank you for looking after our mum. Its a relief to know you are caring for her, when we no longer can.
My mum has only been here for 2 weeks. She has a lovely room, such lovely, kind staff and so many activities that she enjoys. I drive away content to know she is being looked after and is safe in their home.
Coppice Lea is very warm and welcoming - all the staff are very kind, helpful and cheerful. I only visit once a week and I am very welcomed and when there was an Open Day was invited for cakes and tea. I feel a small part of this happy cheerful family. The decor is uplifting and very clean.
The care given to my mother was exceptional. We are so grateful to the staff for their gentle encouragement and respectful care of my mother as she dealt with the confusion that was a part of her vascular dementia. Whenever we visited her, the staff also made us feel very welcome.
Mum arrived at Coppice Lea during December 2023. Since her arrival at Coppice Lea Mum has been very well cared for by all the staff. They are very professional in their approach and very helpful when a request is made. The meals provided are excellent and this included the outdoor barbecue which is very well organised and enjoyed by everyone. The entertainment provided at Coppice Lea is varied and enjoyed by the residents.
My mum has been at Coppice Lea since June. She was very depressed and inactive when she lived at home with a full-time carer. She is now dressed and washed every day, hair is styled. She is singing and dancing along with the entertainment. She only used to eat soup but now has 3 meals a day and is looking much healthier. This is the best choice we could have made for her and I thank the staff so much for taking the time to understand her quirks!
My husband is being very well looked after and though he spends some time here, he is taken down to the lounge, and dining room. The staff are always patient, kind and helpful. Last Saturday a Garden Party/BBQ was given for patients, friends, and relatives outside. Beautifully organsied with good food and entertainment. My husband was not able to enjoy it. The Deputy Manager and a member of staff talked me through the extra funding application and clearly knew him well.
Mum has been in Coppice Lea for just over a year now and I have found the care and facilities exceptional. All the staff are genuinely caring and friendly. I've noticed acts of genuine care and kindness each time I visit. The facilities are good, fresh and always clean. The food is varied and tasty with a choice to suit the residents. As a relative and visitor, I'm welcomed by all the staff and feel part of the family. I'm informed promptly of any care issues that may arise from time to time and I have confidence that Mum is getting the best possible care and attention. Nobody wants their relative to need to be in a home, but it's a great comfort knowing that Mum is getting love and care and is being kept safe while I can't be there.
My friend left this home due to problems that were not being resolved. The activity lead had a personality conflict with my friend and thus my friend was banned from attending activities when the main activity lead ran an activity. It was ludicrous. I met with the current manager time and time again and it was never resolved. The manager told me that many staff did not like my friend and had problems with her - this is honestly the truth - you would never believe it. There are many lovely staff but there are still many problems at Coppice Lea and I would never let my own Mother stay there. My friend has now moved and is being treated with dignity and respect.
Whenever I visit Coppice Lea the staff are always friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The ratio of staff to residents is always high and all are watchful and caring, from management through nursing staff to carers, kitchen and support workers. There are regular entertainments provided by in-house staff and professionals. The food is first-rate in terms of variety, nutritional value, and taste. The charity BBQ on 3rd August was a credit to all. In summary, I have found this to be a wonderful home!
My mother has been there for a few months now and the standard of care is very impressive. Lots of activities are put on for all the residents and they all can join in if they wish. My wife and I join my mother whenever we can and have lunch with her, the food is absolutely lovely and any help the residents require at meal times is promptly carried out. All the staff we meet are very polite, caring and helpful and I'm very pleased we have found a lovely place for my mother to be looked after, it's good for her and it also takes away a lot of the worry for the family.
My Mother was cared for at Coppice Lea for 18 months until her death. The staff especially were wonderful. They were so kind and compassionate to my Mother, but also to us, her family, and were unfailingly friendly.
My mother has been in Coppice Lea since September of 2023, and she is very pleased with the help that she receives (if she wants it). But also every day there are activities to join in if you want to. I stay and have lunch with Mum once a week, and the lunch is lovely. All in all, the staff are so very helpful and attentive to all the guest's needs and wants. I'm glad that my sister found this exceptional home for our mum, it's fantastic.
Mum is always treated with kindness and respect. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure she is happy and comfortable. I can't thank the staff enough.
