View Full Details of Kings LodgeKings Lodge Care Home for complex needs has provided not only a skilled, caring environment for our relative, but also a team approach with their family which is supportive, open and informative. We have just been supported in a long DST meeting, which went into depth on every aspect of their needs. The duty manager led this meeting and provided a masterclass in communicating the reality of complex needs and the particular care of our relative. Thank you!
I genuinely don't know what we'd do without Kings Lodge Center for complex needs. It's the only place where I know my dear dad is safe. After 17 years of harrowing decline and nearly 2 years of my dad being passed around hospitals and care homes like an unwanted sack of potatoes. We found sanctuary, knowledge and real support here. The worry used to give me panic attacks, now he's safe!
I have just spent over 2 weeks at Kings Lodge and I must say the care provided was second to none. All staff are friendly, respectful and listen to how you want your care done and they respect that which is so important. Lots of activities are provided on the weekdays and the activity team are amazing. The optional complimentary therapy massage was amazing and she was highly skilled and worked wonders on my pain. The only downside was that there is no bus that can fit multiple wheelchairs on so no group outings or days out of the centre happen anymore which is such a shame and lowers quality of life for permanent residents. Group outings into the public are so important to feel part of the community and feel involved in the outside world especially for the younger and more mobile residents who use wheelchairs. Apart from that the nursing care was amazing, care staff amazing and the other residents made me feel so welcome. I look forward to going back in December! Thank you so much!
Kings Lodge has been a fantastic place for my father. The staff are excellent and always work diligently and with a lot of empathy. They ensure our loved ones are looked after well, are as comfortable as they can be and ensure great communication with families. The facilities are clean, modern and fit for purpose. Management stay close to families and ensures they are heard and cared for.
My sister was made to feel very welcome and soon felt "at home". After an extended stay in the hospital, the environment was a very welcome change. She is especially pleased with the quality of the food. As a family, we are grateful and appreciate the work of Kings Lodge.
We have had the best of care for my mother, always such kindness, thoughtfulness and support. We couldn't have asked for better, we will be forever grateful that we found Kings Lodge for my mother's final chapter in her life. We will think of the amazing staff and the wonderful care they have shown always. Thank you!
A professional, caring care home, considered by my wife and her family to be home, cared for by staff that are kind, thoughtful and supportive. Many many thanks, we are forever grateful.
From the moment we walked through King's Lodge's doors, we knew it was the right decision for our dear friend. The staff became our friends too, they were so caring, loving and helped us to organise events at Kings Lodge to make life for her more enjoyable. The staff are very caring and involve residents in every activity. Very lively environment, clean and enjoyable.
Our dear friend was looked after and cared for so well by the staff/carers and nurses at Kings Lodge. We are so glad to know some of you as friends. Everyone at Kings Lodge goes above and beyond to try to make their residents' lives much more bearable.
Overall very pleased with the care/support at Kings Lodge. Very friendly but professional team (nurses, management and care staff). My son has complex needs and it was a really worrying time for my family to put him into respite care. But he/we ended up happy and satisfied with the care, he is treated with dignity. I recommend Kings Lodge!
Staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely homely feel.
Pick up and drop off was very professional, enabled us to take our friend for a lovely afternoon out.
My auntie has been a resident since 2015 and the care she has received has been second to none. I'm really very happy my auntie was a resident as Kings Lodge.
My sister-in-law has been well cared for during her time at Kings Lodge. Staff have been very helpful arranging for her funeral. Also, my nephew is receiving very good care. Staff are very friendly, as well as caring.
My beautiful sister has just peacefully passed away, having been a resident at Kings Lodge for the last eight years. I would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff who cared for my sister with love and dignity. The staff have also treated my family on the passing of my sister with care and lovely words. They have also arranged all the funeral arrangements for me, to take away any stress. I would like to thank you once again for the love you gave to my sister.
Our son has been in Kinds Lodge for 10 years and to start with things weren't good because he has a condition that is very rare. As time has gone on, they have got to know him and understand his needs. The carers and staff are brilliant with him, he gets well looked after and they are very polite and friendly. They try to include him in activities but this can be difficult because he is bedbound 24/7 and connot move. We think he gets very good care and well taken care of. We feel Kings Lodge is a lovely and friendly care home.
I have been associated with Kings Lodge for about ten years. My son first went there for respite care and for the last eight years as a permanent resident. This is a care home with heart, things go wrong occasionally but management listen and work to resolve issues promptly. If there is an issue, such as problems with personal equipment not working, supplies running short or menu changes, I know who to contact to put things right. If I am away or unable to visit my son for any reason, he is given extra attention to relieve his distress about being away. it is good to know that he is safe and secure at Kings Lodge.
The clinical care is excellent, I feel much safer here than in hospital or the nursing home I was in previously. The team reacts quickly to changing situations and have gone above and beyond when I've been unwell to enable me to be treated at Kings Lodge rather than in hospital. The staff work exceptionally hard, are compassionate, genuinely care and treat all residents as unique individuals.
Kings Lodge strikes a balance between professionalism and friendliness. It is a warm and welcoming place with highly dedicated staff. They take complex medical needs in their stride to meet the individual requirements of each person. The medial needs are met and so are the social needs. The staff are first class, always friendly and cheerful whilst being highly attentive to duty. A lot of effort goes into events to bring people together and celebrate. The garden is a real asset so everyone can enjoy nature.
My husband is at Kings Lodge for the past two years, I am working in the care sector for 32 years and travel 100 miles to be with him as he gets quality care in a personal way. Staff are management have supported us like family. Trained staff addresses our concerns promptly and efficiently. They are professional and flexible in working together with residents and families to develop plans and follow them. The organisation has committed to equality and diversity. They have reached out to help me in managing my responsibilities and well-being. My best wishes to Kings Lodge family for their continued best work.
