My mother has been at Barchester Reigate Beaumont for ten years. I have nothing but praise for her care. Each member of staff has been wonderful; the management, personal carers, nurses, cleaners and activity organisers. The chefs and kitchen staff produce the most delicious food. The personal care Mum receives from her carers is excellent, especially given her age and disability. The staff are always very welcoming to all our family and even our dogs! It is a pleasure to visit Mum and a great comfort that she is looked after so well.
As a retired nurse, I'm very impressed with the personal care at the Beaumont. The lady I visit has been at the Beaumont for many years and over Christmas this year I was very conscious of the staff going the extra mile to help residents not only look their best but to feel part of the celebrations despite being so handicapped. The staff are very polite and kind, the food is excellent.
I am very happy with all around me, staff are very good and everything is excellent.
I have no hesitation in recommending Barchester Reigate Beaumont to anyone who requires first-class professional care in an effective care environment. My mother has been a resident for over ten years and through those years, including, of course, the pandemic, we have been relieved and delighted at the care she has received. Headed by a strong management team, the care and nursing staff alongside all the support staff are professional, welcoming and always ready to accommodate all her needs as well as the family's. As we prepare to celebrate a big birthday, the entire team has been brilliant in coming together to ensure a happy and memorable day. The home has first-class facilities, set in beautiful and extensive gardens, an excellent and varied selection of delicious food and a comprehensive daily activities programme.
Mum has been a resident at Barchester Reigate Beaumont for two years now following an initial period of respite care. The whole team at Beaumont are caring and compassionate and they go out of their way to make sure Mum is settled and happy. The activities programme offers plenty of stimulation and interesting things to do and equally, if Mum doesn't fancy joining in and just wants a quiet day in her room watching TV, the carers are sure to check on her regularly to make sure she is okay. The food is great with plenty of choice and the gardens are lovely. The carers and nursing team are professional, diligent and kind. The home has exceeded our expectations in every way. Can not recommend it highly enough.
My dad was initially staying for respite care but had a terminal diagnosis at the beginning of his stay. He sadly passed away six weeks later. Barchester Reigate Beaumont staff were excellent, very compassionate and understanding of our situation. We spent a lot of time with Dad but never worried when we weren't there as we knew the staff were checking on him and would help with all his needs. The room Dad had was lovely, although if he had been more mobile, the bathroom would have been a problem as it was so small. At the beginning of his stay, Dad was having a normal diet. The food was excellent. As Dad's condition deteriorated, the staff made sure that his menu changed, soft food and getting him drinks and food when he fancied, it was never a problem. Although Dad was not well enough to take part, we were impressed by the activity list that the residents received each week. The support we were given by the staff in Dad's final days was excellent, they were very caring and supportive.
Mum struggled with the idea of losing her independence and it did take a while. She had a lovely room overlooking the park-like grounds which she enjoyed enormously. I think if Mum had arrived earlier she would have had a lot of happy hours out on the beautiful terrace and no doubt thrown herself into the many activities going on. At the end of her days, she was looked after with so much care, it was amazing. The staff were kind and the doctor was a regular visitor - it was all very peaceful and dignified - I will always be grateful for this.
The staff at the Beaumont were superb at caring for my father in his last couple of months. The medical and nursing staff were very attentive to his physical and mental needs and ensured he was very comfortable during his last few days.
The home has always been excellent, with great carers and nursing staff. Last week it was my wife's birthday and despite her mobility and communication difficulties the staff gave her a lovely cake, which we the relatives also enjoyed and we had a small party which she very much enjoyed. I can certainly recommend Reigate Beaumont as an excellent nursing home.
Absolutely in awe of all the staff here. Acting as my aunt's LPA, residential care was new to me. Reigate Beaumont has not only physically cared for my aunt during the last 6 months, but they’ve also supported me on the difficult journey of being responsible for a mentally competent, elderly relative who is no longer physically able to look after herself. Similarly, the whole team have been incredibly kind, patient and understanding as my aunt, who is strongly resistant to being in care and to change, (slowly and very grumpily!) adjusts to a new way of living so late in life. I haven’t rated activities as currently, my aunt won’t participate in the lots on offer. Likewise, I’ve not rated value for money as I have no previous comparisons but I have no complaints and feel my aunt's continuing care here is money very well spent.
My father is a resident at this wonderful care home. He's lived here for 2 years, initially with my mother. The care he receives is absolutely exceptional, from all the staff. They are so incredibly kind and caring. He has a wide variety of activities to entertain him, from choir practice to excursions to the local area. The food is wonderful they cater to his gluten-free dietary requirements. I am so grateful that we found such an amazing home for him to live in and know that he is happy and settled here. I can't thank the manager and all the rest of the staff enough!
I have had a wonderful time volunteering at Reigate Beaumont and have gained a lot of experience through running musical sessions and sing-a-longs for the residents. Working with the staff, I have noticed everyone is so lovely and gets on well with one another. Grounds are truly impressive, we have held huge events here such as the 'Family Fun Day' in the summer. Would recommend this place and its wonderful team!
This home has offered wonderful support and care which has enabled my parents to remain together. They are very elderly and have health issues, all the staff treat them with respect and care, giving two one-time fiercely independent people a dignified life.
Our mother has been a resident at The Beaumont for nearly a year, and having initially been reluctant to live permanently in any home, she was made to feel very welcome and has settled in well. Without exception, the staff are wonderful - very attentive, responsive, caring and always professional. The spacious gardens and grounds are beautifully maintained and provide a wonderful setting for various activities, including an Easter egg hunt, barbecue and various garden parties and celebrations. Mum loves all the many activities, including various musical events, flower arranging, quizzes, Pilates, visits from local school children, a pat dog, a Shetland pony and most recently, a fashion show! Mum’s birthday was very special - she was presented with a huge, delicious cake, and her room was decorated with balloons and banners. The food is excellent - with a good choice and regular tasting events. The Beaumont gives us daughters great peace of mind that Mum is being well cared for.
Very happy with the care Mum’s receiving, the staff are wonderful and have far exceeded our expectations. Food and cleanliness are excellent as are the facilities all set in beautiful gardens. Excellent
My husband has stayed at Barchester Reigate Beaumont for respite several times over the last two years. When it came to choosing where to stay permanently Reigate Beaumont was the only place my husband wanted to live. The staff are all friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The level of care given is outstanding. All staff are willing to stop and have a chat with the residents and visitors alike. Everyone is made to feel part of the 'family Beaumont.' There is a lovely happy, calm atmosphere throughout the home. There is an excellent and varied choice of food which is chosen by the residents from a daily menu brought to their room. Refreshments are available all day. There is an outstanding entertainment programme offering a varied selection. All residents are encouraged by staff to join in. There are plenty of cosy areas to meet and have a chat, including a beautiful garden. This home comes highly recommended.
My mother initially stayed at Beaumont for respite care after a fall and a short stay in the hospital. Beaumont was very helpful from the outset in helping us at very short notice. First impressions were very encouraging, and Mum settled in very quickly, She soon decided to make her stay permanent, despite the understandable reservations around such a big decision. The care and attention from all the staff is absolutely first class, nothing seems too much trouble. The atmosphere is excellent, and it's always a pleasure to visit. We couldn't recommend Beaumont more highly.
Excellent caring service with an interesting, stimulating activities programme, caring friendly staff and first-class food. My father first used it for respite when we were on holiday. It was then an easy transition to move in and make it his home when his needs increased. Highly recommend it for high standards both socially and medically.
My mother has been a resident of Reigate Beaumont for the last 5 years. Prior to admission, my mother's biggest fear was the thought of having to go into a care home. You would not think it to look at her now! She is always laughing and smiling and so happy. The care and dedication of all the staff are truly amazing. They have a range of different events for residents of all abilities ranging from outings, visits from the local scout group, grammar students to volunteers coming in to sing to residents as well as musicians coming in to play. The home also has wonderful grounds for those wishing to go for a walk or there is a terrace to sit and enjoy the flowers. The kitchen staff provide lovely meals and I can highly recommend the cakes. This is a very special care home.
