View Full Details of Puttenham Hill House Care HomeI have found Puttenham Hill House Care Home excellent in every way. Very friendly and helpful and I know my sister-in-law (resident) and husband were happy from the day they moved in. The staff have been amazing to my sister-in-law since her husband passed away. A very friendly and homely atmosphere and surrounded by lovely countryside.
When my husband passed away, I felt very lonely and didn't know what to do, but the staff were very reassuring, kind and considerate of my feelings at this sad time. I still have down days, but the staff are always there to cheer me up and make me smile. I'm very grateful to everyone.
My husband has now been at Puttenham for just over a year and I am pleased this home was chosen for his permanent care. His problem is mostly a lack of mobility (he is 97), but he is able to join in most of the many activities provided which has led to companionship and keeping his brain active. He enjoys the food and the staff are excellent, caring, attentive and full of good humour, creating a really happy atmosphere for residents and visitors. Special occasions are recognised and the staff put a lot of effort into providing an environment to match - especially this year's Christmas Panto. The garden provides a lovely place to spend time in the summer months.
My uncle and auntie (brother and sister) were both residents at Puttenham Hill House for nearly 5 years and 3 years respectively. My cousins and I attended the crematorium today for the spreading of their ashes. Neither ever married and had lived together for over 80 years, the last few at BUPA's Puttenham Hill House. They are now together again RIP. The staff there are fantastic. My uncle and aunt could not have had better care, they were happy and content, with the best of nursing care, support - and lovely food. Thank you to everyone at Puttenham Hill House.
Always a lovely experience. The staff are so friendly and helpful. My mum is very well looked after and happy.
A huge thank you to the amazing team at Puttenham Hill House for looking after Dad so well following his knee operation. The two weeks post-op care allowed him to recover, build his strength and gain confidence before returning home to live on his own. All of the team are very friendly and courteous when dealing with a 92-year-old man who has lived on his own for a long while. The team quickly identified Dad's needs and supported him. I would also like to send my thanks to all at Puttenham Hill, their care has allowed Dad to build firm foundations so he can return to enjoying life more quickly.
Really friendly staff, made me feel very welcome. All the staff really cared for the residents which in turn made them happy and content. I would recommend Puttenham Hill House Care Home to my friends.
My mum has been a resident at Puttenham for a year now. I feel no words are enough, no trumpet fanfares loud enough to praise every aspect of the home. They have made her transition to a Nursing Home wonderful with their compassion, understanding, unfaltering care. Rooms are so light and airy, very refreshing. Activities are varied, also trips out which are wonderful. When I visit walking in is a breath of fresh air always greeted with genuine smiles. Thank you all, my mind rests knowing Mum is in such caring, wonderful hands from every one of you.
Fantastic and very caring staff. Very welcoming when my grandfather arrived at the home, they couldn't do enough to help him and us as a family. They kept us informed every step of the way regardless of how busy they were. All staff offered their full support throughout my grandfather's time with them. Could not recommend them enough! Thank you all so much for your help, care and support
If you are looking for a care home for a loved one and there is a room available at Puttenhams Hill Care Home please look no further! My mum has been at Puttenham Hill for 6 months now and it is a huge relief to know that she is happy there. The staff are so kind and caring and treat residents with such love and compassion. My mum is always laughing when the staff are with her, which is so lovely to see. The kindness is very much extended to family and friends. Wonderful place!
After breaking my hip, I came to Puttenham Hill for 2 weeks of respite care. It was the best decision I could have made, I was given the very best of care by all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The meals were delicious, and the activities were a great addition to my day. The manager made a point of speaking to me every day and the other staff - all of which I knew by name, were simply wonderful, so kind and patient, but with such a lovely sense of humour that brightened every day. I wish I could have stayed longer.
I have always found all the staff caring, helpful, welcoming and friendly to all. They did a marvellous job during the pandemic, ensuring residents' safety and well-being. The activities are very good and varied to accommodate all interests. Good food choices and lovely meals.
Well run home, and special thanks to the manager for his very helpful and pleasant attitude and the lady for her administration and helping the manager to obtain a suitable room and settle him in. Thank you very much. I would like them to be listed for special attention by Bupa.
Since my arrival here last February, I have been very impressed by how friendly and reliable the members of staff have proved to be and how well I have been cared for. I have been made to feel very much at home here and am so pleased my relation had prior knowledge about how good this home would be for me. My health concerns have been looked after well and my room made very homely with items I was allowed to bring from my house. Many activities are arranged regularly for us.
Mum became a resident at Puttenham Hill House Care Home in December 2022 after another care home closed. She's been a resident for two months, at a time when the call alert system was changed and the home had Covid which meant the residents were confirmed to their rooms for two-plus weeks. I've found the home to be bright and cheery. The staff are welcoming and caring. The management appears to be liked and endorsed by the staff. All staff, from carers to housekeeping, are always helpful when I visit.
Very friendly, helpful staff who make you feel at home during your stay. First class good and cleanliness. Nothing too much for them.
I have now been here one year and my daughters and I are very pleased we chose this home. It is not too big at all and is in a building that originated as a country home which gives it a homely feeling and appearance. The management and the staff are very pleasant, kind, willing and helpful and hardworking and include a trained RN. The food is good and adequate, the building is well cleaned. The resident's laundry is done on-site.
My husband has been at Puttenham Hill House for eleven years and has always been well cared for by lovely staff, who have treated him as a human being and not just another resident. It is a very happy and friendly home, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Lovely place, lovely people and thanks for letting me sleep! Especially appreciate the high toilet seat, without which I would have been in a lot of trouble. Bed very comfortable, lovely view from my room. Staff very kind and thoughtful, without exception. Extra thanks to very many folks.
Very pleased you have treated my mother right to the end. You have all gone a good job.
