Couldn't be more impressed with Tilford Nursing Home. Friendly polite staff, the whole place was clean! I was treated with such respect, care and support. My nanny looked the best she has looked in years which shows the amount of care. Fabulous room with an excellent bed to help her needs. I would highly recommend this nursing home. Staff were a class service. Exremely professional and helpful.
Professional, kind, warm staff. Extremely respectful. Nursing home is well looked after, clean. Room is excellent for my mum's needs. My mum is clearly being looked after so well. She is happy and settled and our family could not ask for more. I highly recommend Tilford Nursing Home.
My dad was a resident at Tilford Care & Nursing Home for 6 months. We cannot fault the care he received, all staff were very compassionate and caring to dad's needs. We felt confident that he was being very well looked after, not only dad but ourselves as a family visiting. We all certainly became a part of the Tilford family.
Mum loves the bathroom, I love that Mum can safely take a shower. Mum is hard to please, she has nothing but praise for Tilford. Mum even loves the food here (a first). The staff are kind and attentive. It is very clean, and the cleaning and care taking staff do a superb job and never cut corners. The home has a lovely atmosphere, it is calm and well-run.
I found the staff very helpful and always happy to help and just put you at ease with any problems. The food was plenty full and was very tasty. My room was very pleasant and always cleaned daily. Thank you all for my care and kindness.
Can’t recommend this home enough. My dad spent his last 18 months here being cared for. The staff do the most incredible job not only caring for residents but for the families too. From cooks, nurses, managers, admin, cleaners, care assistants every single member of staff. Forever grateful, thank you.
My mother had been at Tilford since 26/10/22, until her passing away 09/02/24. During that time, all the staff showed the greatest respect and to her caring needs I cannot fault her care during that time, she was happy in her new home. The nursing staff always kept me up to date, regarding her health for which I am grateful, especially during her final days passing, they made the process comfortable for her. Thank you.
We would like to say a big thank you to the care home nurses, auxiliaries, office staff and anyone else who contributed to the care of our mother/nan and Great Nan, while she was at Tilford Care Home. Everyone was very helpful and caring, nothing was too much trouble and we will be eternally grateful that mum was made comfortable and was looked after so well right up to the end.
Unfortunately, the food is quite basic and plain. I bring food in as my father gets hungry, takes a while for the staff to come when the buzzer is pressed at the front door and when it is weekends the home is very short staffed, some days the room is cleaner than other days, staff are cheerful and do try to help with queries. My dad goes unshaven for many days.
My mother has been a resident at Tilford Care & Nursing Home for just over eighteen months now, primarily due to her Alzheimer's and lack of mobility. It obviously took a while for things to settle down but we have since been very happy with Mum's care. The staff always seem to be keeping an eye on the residents in the communal areas and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The various activities that have been organised are also much appreciated by residents and relatives. We have been told about a few minor health issues but these have all been sorted out by the staff without any fuss. It's also good to see the photos posted on their social media page since Mum can't remember what she had for lunch - let alone what happened the day before. It also allows other relatives who live further away to see how Mum is doing.
Mother seems to be happy when we visit and as she has dementia, that's an indication that she feels comfortably settled and senses being well cared for. Each time I have spoken with staff on duty for anything, they have always been very helpful. When we visit, the staff are caring and thoughtful when dealing with residents. I know staff are very efficient about always keeping my brother up to date with my mother's health concerns which is very important to us. Although Mum is not always hungry, when we have visited the food she was given looked good and made our stomachs rumble! The home is safe and secure without looking restricted.
The Tilford Care & Nursing Home team informed me when my mother was taken to hospital. They do lots of different activities with the residents. Singing, dancing, painting, flower arranging, baking and decorating cakes. Have a BBQ in the summer for family and friends with the residents.
We are very happy with the care our mum receives at Tilford Care & Nursing Home. There are always plenty of staff to tend to the needs of residents. Everyone is very helpful and our questions are always answered very quickly and efficiently. We are always kept informed of any changes to Mum's health and the medication she receives. Our mum seems happy and settled so we're happy too.
I have been treated with care, compassion and support. The staff all around the care home have been amazing. The nurses, carers, kitchen staff, housekeepers, laundrette etc superb. I have no faults all positive. The maintenance people are excellent and all the staff are superb. If I had to live in a home for the rest of my life it would definitely be this care home.
Following a six week stay in hospital, Mum required support in a safe and secure environment, which Tilford Care and Nursing Home have provided excellently. The caring staff and having a ground floor ensuite room enabled Mum, with dementia and failing eyesight, to find her way around and become settled. The food is excellent, Mum especially enjoys the the freshly made desserts and cakes. Music and bingo is always a big hit with Mum and she enjoyed the visit from Mr. Kipling the donkey.
My wife is a resident suffering from dementia. The staff and carers are very empathetic with the patients. They treat them as though they were their own relatives and nothing is too much trouble for them. Checks are made every hour on patients who are not in communal lounges, but in their rooms. Personally, I feel this should be every 30 minutes. My wife who has collapsed twice cannot call for help as she cannot speak and does no longer have the where with all to press alarms. Otherwise, excellent care all round.
Overall, very happy with my mother's care at Tilford Care & Nursing Home. My mum seems very happy and settled considering all restrictions that the pandemic threw up. The staff have been very attentive and caring and also very informative when Mum was unwell. I am generally so pleased we made the decision to place Mum at Tilford Care & Nursing Home.
My mother was in this home. The standard of care was less than we expected. She was unhappy with the way she was treated. The family felt her care was less than acceptable and after an unfortunate incident, we moved her as quickly as possible.
Following a hospital stay, my father came to live at Tilford Care & Nursing Home. The induction process involved not only my father but also us, his family, which was very helpful and reassuring at a difficult time. My father enjoys the activities and we have thoroughly enjoyed the special events in the garden, anything musical. Staff are friendly and engaging.
