View Full Details of Warrengate Nursing HomeAs soon as you walk through the front door you are made to feel so welcome. All the staff are so lovely towards the residents and family members you really feel like home from home. Food is all homemade and a choice is always available. Can't recommend this home enough.
I am so grateful for the care and support Warrengate give to my wife, who has dementia. They are kind, caring and provide a safe 'home from home' for her. The staff and management are lovely and very supportive, both to my wife as a resident and also to our visiting family members. No task or request is too much and they are incredibly thoughtful, friendly and compassionate. I am also incredibly grateful for the extra time I am having with my wife that we would not have had if she had remained in hospital after an illness. Thank you, Warrengate, I cannot recommend you enough.
We are extremely happy with Warrengate. The care they provide is excellent and focused upon the residents and the staff communicate and keep the resident's family fully informed on all matters. There is a friendly welcome and staff are always happy to help and provide support. The ratio of staff to residents appears to be high and there have been a number of interactive activities and events for the residents and the families were welcome and encouraged to attend. My father has settled in well within the home and his care is outstanding, he is encouraged and participates to the best of his ability in as many activities as he can.
My sister has been treated so well she has clearly come to see Warrengate as her home where she is actively involved in many activities. My sister was asked to leave a previous home as disruptive but the care at Warrengate has resulted in my sister being a more happy resident. She no longer wants to escape and feels secure at Warrengate.
The home takes excellent care of my wife, who has advancing dementia. The food is very good compared to other homes that I have been involved with. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. There are lots of organised entertainment and things for the residents to join in with, if they wish.
We are so pleased we managed to get Mum into Warrengate a few years ago, she has been so happy there and is very well cared for. There are always activities going on, and regular outings, not that mum takes part in many, but she has done in the past. Thank you all for the hard work you do at the nursing home.
I was invited to attend a three-course dinner on St Valentine’s Day. The staff worked so hard to make it such a special occasion. The dining was set out with festive balloons, separate tables decorated with scattered hearts on tablecloths, also flowers on individual tables. The food was amazing, generous helpings and so tasty. I even had a glass of alcohol. Prior to the dinner, there was a disco where we danced and sang with the residents and carers. Such a wonderful memory, thank you so much.
My dad is very unwell and heading into end of life. All the staff have and still are very understanding and caring with him and our family. They don't just look after him they they look after us too.
A friendly team that works hard. The manager and nurses are extremely approachable and all staff are friendly. The nurses are responsive and on hand to answer any questions. Any issues we have had have been resolved effectively. The activities coordinators are very good and understand dad's needs.
The staff at the care home are wonderful. They treat my mother with dignity and respect. This helps to make me feel she is safe and in a place where people genuinely care about her - this was particularly important over the last few years when I was not able to see her as often as I would have liked due to covid.
Warrengate Nursing Home has looked after my mum for 18 months. I feel extremely lucky that Mum got placed here. They have managed her challenging behaviour expertly and have treated Mum, despite her aggression, with compassion. The communication to keep me updated has been professional and timely. They have made visiting with restrictions as easy as possible and all staff always made me feel very welcome. Now we can go inside I have found the home to be a happy and inviting environment, especially the garden. When I have unexpectedly requested to visit Mum's room it has been spotless and the clothes etc very tidy. Whilst all the staff are dedicated and hardworking, I particularly want to mention the activities team. They are brilliant. Always lots going on and when I’ve spoken to them they show they know Mum really well. Mum has gained weight so I can see the food is good also. Hope this review helps someone making a difficult decision.
My husband has been in this care home for four years. We as a family are very pleased with the service and the care that he receives. The care home is very good the staff are very kind and polite and wouldn’t want him to live anywhere else.
My husband has been in this home for a few years now and has always had the best care I could hope for. The staff are wonderful to my husband, me and our family. Warrengate has a beautiful garden to sit in. Everything about this home is excellent.
Dad entered the care home in March 2020 after a double stroke requiring full nursing care. The care staff provided first-class care and attention to Dad and provided facetime links to the family. Dad has built great relationships with his nurses, trusting them as did we, the family. The pandemic caused issues with visiting but the activities kept Dad amused, including summer BBQ in the lovely garden. The care staff and management worked with the family in what was a time limiting situation to ensure Dad's every comfort was catered for. His end of life palliative care and the dignity afforded him resulted in his death in January 2021. The staff know how much they mean to us and we will be looking to place Mum in the home in due course, with her Altzeimers worsening. If you are looking for a good residential home for your loved one then look no further as Warrengate is a Five Star care home and supports my full recommendation.
Warrengate is an extremely well run, compassionate and caring home. All staff are happy, warm, kind and continuously demonstrate expert knowledge in Dementia Care. They are gentle, patient and understanding when caring for residents, very visible and always seek to involve residents in conversation and activity. There is a real homely atmosphere, rather than the institutional feeling of many care homes. Following a traumatic short stay in another Dementia Care Home which did not understand her needs, Warrengate has been a total contrast and has totally restored my faith in excellent Dementia Care. My mother has challenging behaviour at times and the staff are always fantastic in managing her with kindness and dignity. I feel she is safe and genuinely cared about. Staff are extremely knowledgeable in Dementia and Mental Health Care and are excellent advocates for residents. There is a GP who visits weekly and works well with the home. Happy home staffed by lovely caring people.
The attention given to the residents care is extremely good. Unfortunately, the noise in the lounge is rather too loud for my mother. She prefers quieter areas in the home, but cannot move about on her own to change her location.
The staff at Warrengate Nursing Home are very caring and great at dealing with my father who can at times be very challenging.
No complaint. Staff friendly and very helpful. Mother looks a lot healthier since she has come and is living here, very pleased.
Mum's care at Warrengate has been fantastic. The staff are very friendly, professional and welcoming. They keep us fully up to date with how mum is doing and she is very happy and comfortable here. The staff are incredible and there is nothing I can fault them on. They do so much to make sure they are kept occupied and busy.
Staff are amazing. The change in my father in law since he came here is amazing, which is all down to the care he now receives. He is now much more aware of where he is and understands what he can do to help himself, which is down to the encouragement of the staff. Every staff member I have met is kind and caring and its very clear that they love their jobs. Nothing is too much trouble.
