View Full Details of Bay House CareMy wife spent over seven months at Bay House after enduring difficult circumstances in the hospital, including severe grade 4 pressure sores. However, the care she received at Bay House was incredible, and the sores healed remarkably fast after her admission. The staff there were nothing short of amazing, and the service was exceptional. Despite their tireless efforts, my wife passed away. I am beyond grateful for the outstanding care and support we received during her six months at Bay House, and even after her passing. Words can't fully express my appreciation. Especially the manager's support!!!
I can't begin to explain how happy I feel that my father had his last two months with these wonderful people. They kept him happy and safe, and welcomed us into their family. I have the utmost respect for all of them, and as was pointed out, we became family. The two beautiful ladies actually took time to come to his funeral, but that's not to say that the manager and all the other staff didn't think about him, we are ever grateful that dad passed in such a loving environment.
Lovely warm place, brilliant staff and kind people. Amazing support from each staff member, very well looked after place and look after people very well. 10/10
From the moment my wife was admitted, the standard of care she received was excellent. She became a member of the Bay House Care family, as did I and other family members. I am so glad we chose Bay House, having visited many other nursing home, they are just superb at what they do!
The care that my mother received was absolutely outstanding. The staff were so kind and caring, her overall health improved so much and in the months that she was there. We could not fault the care she had.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Bay House Care. The quality of care which they offer is excellent, full of love and kindness. Our sister moved there a little more than a year ago, in a confused and unhappy state. The consistently thoughtful care gave her time to get well and with the right medication to begin to make a good recovery, giving us back our lively-minded sister. In her last days, every effort was made to keep her calm and comfortable and give her all she needed to skip quietly away. The family were also cared for and kept fully aware of what was being done and why. Bay House is an outstanding nursing and care home.
It was a hard decision to put Mum into a nursing home but Bay House Care worked with us right from the start to make sure that we got a room that suited Mum and that her transfer to them went smoothly. Although Mum was with them a short time, she enjoyed the companionship in the communal lounge for her first few weeks and then as her health got worse and she became confined to her room and ultimately to her bed, the wonderful team, led by the manager, took such loving care of her and continued to ensure that she was connected to activates by bringing up small things that had been made in craft activities. Throughout her care, the Bay House team were exceptional and made us truly feel that Mum and us were part of the family. It was lovely to hear Mum say "you don't have to worry, they look after me very well", in everything they did they went over and above. Sadly, Mum is no longer with us but we feel we have made so many new friends both with all the staff, other residents and their families.
I cannot recommend Bay House Care highly enough. Our father has lived here for two and a half years and it really feels like a family home. The staff are amazing, so caring and thoughtful and I can't imagine anywhere that he would have been looked after better. We feel so lucky to have found a home for him here.
My stepmother was 97 with cancer, COPD, spine fracture, etc. and so was moved from hospital to Bay House. What a fantastic decision to have chosen this nursing home. The care is second to none. My stepmum enjoyed her last two weeks of life so much that it was as if she was on a holiday. I cannot recommend this home highly enough.
The manager and her wonderful team treated my mum with dignity and respect and were always engaging with me and the rest of my family throughout Mum's time with them. The staff are all so kind and thoughtful, my mum was made to feel like a part of the family and every time I visited I was welcomed and instantly felt at ease and equally a part of the family they have created. Bay House Care is such a warm and welcoming environment for everyone.
What impressed me with Bay House there were no restrictions on visiting times. Nothing is too much trouble, the staff are approachable, kind and caring. There are picnics on the beach, trip to the local park, sing-a-long entertainment and recently a BBQ inviting family and friends and the residents made all the decorations. Everyone is stimulated with various activities and exercising, if able. The care is excellent, catering with choice for breakfast, dinner and tea plus morning drink and afternoon tea and cake. I am reassured by the excellent care.
The manager put my mind at ease about my husband coming into a care home. I looked at other homes before making my choice but I knew Bay House Care was the right place for us. The care is excellent, anything needed the carers are there for him. The staff and management have made me feel part of their family. I have lunch with my husband and we go out to the seafront and join in with the activities and entertainment. The management team is always there for me.
This care home is by far the best in my local area (perhaps even beyond that) Since my nan has been in their care she is always clean, happy and well looked after. The home itself is always immaculate inside and out. Staff are always happy and very helpful and hands-on with residents. The staff treat the residents like family and are always making an effort for residents to engage in activities (indoor and outdoor). The food always looks amazing and all residents are given a menu to help them make the choice of what they would like to eat. Overall myself and my family have never felt so at ease since she became a resident at Bay House. It fills our hearts to know that Nan is happy and safe in her new home.
My uncle was treated very well the staff and manager were very kind to my challenging uncle.
My first impression was competence, care and comfort. This was borne out during the fifteen days my wife was a resident and bed-bound the whole time. Management was efficient, staff were patient and gentle and thoughtful, facilities were clean and comfortable, food was varied and tasty and there was always a welcoming smile when we visited. Did not rate activities as my wife was bed-bound and failing. Did not rate as funded by continuing healthcare.
The manager and her team welcomed my dad with dignity and respect upon his discharge from hospital. He was only with them for a matter of days before sadly passing away. There are no words to thank them enough for the care and support they gave to me and my family. They truly made Dad's last days as comfortable and as happy as possible. Forever grateful. Calm, serene and dignified.
My mother - a dementia sufferer, spent her last eleven months at Bay House Care Home. I can honestly say that it brought joy to me to see Mum's face light up during interaction with the manager and other staff members. The manager is a friendly person, has high standards, is always contactable and very hands-on. The nursing and care staff are hard-working and treat their residents with compassion and dignity. The activities team involve as many residents as possible in numerous activities, including gardening, cooking, craftwork and all sorts of other things to occupy and engage. I was always made very welcome when visiting and was often offered refreshments. The home is situated very close to the town centre and adjacent to the seafront promenade for lovely walks. There is free parking on the forecourt of the home and two hours of free parking on the street. I can thoroughly recommend Bay House Care.
My mother was a resident here for the latter days of her life. The care she received was amazing. Every member of staff showed wonderful dedication to her care. We were worried when we realised she needed to have professional care in a nursing home environment. We realised our worries were unfounded. The care is wonderful and her last days were very special. A few days before her death there was a picnic on the deck for the residents. That day was so special and I will always remember is. This is a great place with great staff.
My mum is currently residing in Bay House and the level of care is superb. The staff are so patient and caring which puts my mind at rest. The Home Manager goes above and beyond in her role and is always on hand if needed. I wish mum had gone into Bay House 2 years ago when she was first admitted in to care. I would thoroughly recommend Bay House. Kind Regards.
I am so very pleased we found Bay House. Mum has been in care since June 2020 and I just wish Mum had been here from the beginning of her journey with Alzheimer's. Watching her deteriorate and having the most caring staff around her at Bay House is such a reassuring comfort to us as a family. The manager is always available and I mean always. Even when she was on annual leave she would message to check on Mum. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the kindness from yourself and all the staff is so apparent. I count myself lucky that we found Bay House and I thank you all for everything you do.
