View Full Details of Seaview Nursing HomeEach time I visit my Nan the staff have gone above and beyond the care and attention they give her is superb. We recently celebrated her birthday at Seaview Nursing Home and the staff could not have been kinder or lovelier, they made space for us in the dining room, organised tea and coffee and a cake which included a mini cake for the two other family members attending. They were on hand when we needed letting in and out, all in all we can't thank them enough.
We were able to have a family birthday party in the dining room for our mum's 88th birthday. The staff had made the room look beautiful, just right for a party. The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble and all the family felt so welcome. The chef had made a wonderful birthday cake for us, mum was so happy and the afternoon is a lovely memory for the family. We really can't thank everyone enough for all that they did for us, especially as they were still caring for the other residents
What a truly wonderful afternoon we were given by the staff at Seaview Nursing Home for our mothers birthday, 24 family members join mum for her birthday celebrations in the dining room. The staff had decorated the room with balloons and moves tables and decorated them and it all looked beautiful. Coffee and tea was provided an incredible birthday cake was made for us, the cake looked and tasted beautiful. We were so thankful at how all very kind and friendly staff went so above and beyond to give us and mum the most perfect afternoon. We cannot thank you all enough.
My father is on end-of-life care here. Very pleased with the care my Father is receiving. The staff are very efficient and friendly. Management and reception are very helpful also. I would definitely recommend the nursing home to others and future relatives.
My father has been here for a few years now. Friendly staff and the management is very approachable, have solve any issues that have come up since my father arrived. Have gone beyond to make him feel comfortable. They really helped with my father attending my wedding. Great team, lovely receptionist. My father staying here gives me great peace of mind. Keep up the good work!
The care given to my mother is very good and the staff are friendly and approachable. Mum chooses not to eat in the restaurant so her meals are kept warm under a heat lamp and often dry and unappetising by the time it gets to her (maybe they can look at this procedure). The building itself is very tired and dated and would benefit from a deep clean. Mum is in a very small room resembling a corridor and has been promised on numerous occasions, a larger more comfortable room (as boasted on their websites), but it has been 5 months now and she remains in the room she was admitted into. This does upset her a bit with what she calls ‘false promises’. I’m not sure about the facilities as Mum’s a bit of a loner. It would be nice if a physio visited weekly and helped with exercise as she is getting terrible muscle wasting. I think this should be a mandatory part of the care package as mum literally walks on average 100 steps a day. But I guess that the most important thing is that mum is comfortable and the staff make her feel welcome.
My first impression - nursing home was clean, tidy, and warm. Receptionist very friendly towards me, able to show me to the room of the person I was visiting. Room very tidy and clean. Drinks by bed. TV on. My friend was very happy with everything at the home. I also spoke to the manager and carer who popped into the room while I was visiting. I was very impressed with my visit. No issues at this nursing home. Good on all the staff I saw.
So happy for Seaview to look after Dad. He is being cared for so well, and the staff/patient ratio is excellent. The staff are caring, sensitive and attentive. My parents had their 66th wedding anniversary on the weekend, and we had arranged to bring Dad home to be with Mum on their special day, but Dad wasn’t well enough. The staff saved the day by making a beautiful table for us in the lounge, complete with Buck’s Fizz; we were so touched, and we had a very special family occasion to remember. Thank you, Seaview.
From the moment my relative arrived here, I knew he felt at home. I also felt like it was like a big family; very genuine and always friendly. My expectations were a clinical place with not much happening. The truth was a happy home for my relative and a nice place to visit.
My brother has been a resident of Seaview since April 2023. I have found the staff easy to get along with and I can't fault the care they continuously give my brother with the different needs he has. He's happy here so I'm happy. Thank you for looking after him.
My stepfather has only just arrived at Seaview. So far the service he has been given, from medical care, supervision and attention to his needs has been exemplary! As far as it can be, a happy atmosphere for residents and visitors. Thank you to all the team there. Clearly well managed and with committed and attentive staff.
I stayed in Sea View for respite from the 10th of June to the 12 July after an accident that left both arms in Plaster, rendering me unable to do anything. I need help going to the toilet, feeding, washing and being dressed. The staff and carers at Sea View are the most kindest and caring group of individuals I've ever met. Nothing was too much trouble for them to do for me when I felt totally helpless. Once I started to recover and had my big plaster casts removed, they really helped me to recover and become independent for myself. I have to include everyone in the care home for friendliness, from the top boss, staff, nurses the splendid carers who work so hard to make sure you have everything you need. Admin staff, cleaners, handyman, laundry staff and the chefs who did their best to please everyone - not an easy task. I am so grateful. If I ever needed full-time care, I wouldn't hesitate to go back - thank you, one and all.
As soon as you walk in, there is a warm welcome. The home feels loving and friendly. The staff are great with my sister as she can be difficult at times. The home keeps me informed of any changes. My sister is happy and content and, most of all, safe. She is a person living with dementia that progressed suddenly. The staff are fully trained to deal with this. My family want to thank you all for your support, kindness and excellent care of my sister.
Everything is ok - happy with it all. The coffee is good, and getting on ok. Had feet done, and all ok.
St Dominic‘s is extremely helpful. I feel at ease and confident that he is being well looked after and cared for. I would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a care home to come and visit. The food is extremely good, and the cleanliness is extremely good. It’s good to see residents doing activities and mixing with each other.
Visiting an aunt and met her in the lounge. Always met with friendly, pleasant staff and made to feel welcome. Care and help to residents always appears excellent.
Excellent care for my dad, who was there for three years and was well looked after, plus he also renewed his wedding vows to my mum, and they did all food and drink, and they never charged us. He died about three weeks ago, and they organised the wake.
My wife has a lovely room at St Dominic's and received excellent nursing care for her complex condition. While the building and decore could be improved and the food needs to be better, these issues are being addressed under good management. Other places may look better, but remember what is important - the health and welfare of your loved one.
The sincere care and sympathy the staff felt towards my dad was really above the standard I was expecting for palliative care. I must mention two particular staff members for their tremendously gentle way they handled the situation, which was new to me and my family. They allowed the whole process to be calm and peaceful.
The entire staff here are courteous and kind. The activities are good. Loved the garden.
