View Full Details of Ersham House Nursing HomeVery professional management and support staff. Very friendly and patient service staff. Respectful and sensitive staff. Caring and cheerful staff. This care home was selected after a very personable and assuring meeting with the manager and tour. Our first impressions were very good and these have been maintained throughout our seven months of association thus far. We continue to be most satisfied and pleased with the care provided.
My sister has been in Ersham House Nursing home for just over a year now. She continues to be very well cared for by all of the nurses and the staff there. Whenever I ring to ask how she is whoever answers the phone always answers my questions and when possible if she is near they will give her the phone to speak with me. She has always got a cup of coffee to hand and is always clean and tidy. The home is always pleasant to go into and welcoming. Activities are laid on to suit all needs with seasonal get-togethers. I can find no fault and can only say many thanks.
Very friendly staff who keep relatives very well informed. The staff is very good with residents. The home is well-kept. The food is good and varied. More activities could be arranged for residents, but the quality of given activities is good.
I think Ersham House is an excellent nursing home, the best I have seen. Looked after my girlfriend very well. All the staff are very kind and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them.
My brother was well taken care of. The carers are very caring of residents. My brother was washed and kept clean as frequently as needed during the day.
My mother was in the care of Ersham House for almost five years until her recent death. In that time I was always aware of and grateful for the great patience and compassion the staff had for their charges. They kept my mother safe during the pandemic and she came to regard Ersham House as her home. These are good people.
I think my ratings say it all!
My dad has been at Ersham House Nursing Home since September and we cannot recommend this home enough. All the staff are kind and friendly and have gone above to meet Dad's needs. Dad has settled very well with the changes and I put this down to the kindness he has received here. Dad feels at home here which has given us so much comfort. So thank you to all of you.
My mum came to Ersham House 6 months ago, having been moved twice this year in a short space of time. I have to say I have been really impressed by everything I've seen here. The staff are all very approachable and always happy to explain everything that is happening with Mum. They are all so caring and friendly towards me and towards Mum as well as being professional in their duties. I am so pleased that Mum is here, there is a warm and friendly atmosphere about the place every time I'm there. Mum is in end-of-life care and the team shows so much dignity when dealing with her, I wouldn't want her to be anywhere else. The manager is always willing to talk through things and make sure I am kept informed of how Mum is. I really haven't got a bad word to say about the place. Thank you to all of the team for putting my mind at rest to know that Mum is safe and being cared for so well.
Outstanding care, kindness and compassion and respect. Everyone is passionate about their role and the residents and their families are wonderfully supported by everyone, nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended.
I am currently here for respite care and enjoying spending time relaxing in the large garden. The manageress has been extremely helpful and nothing is too much for her. The nurses and care staff go above and beyond in making sure you are comfortable and have everything you require, whilst always smiling and professional. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank them all for decorating my room and helping me celebrate my birthday whilst in their care. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending this nursing home. Thank you.
Mum has always been made comfortable and treated with dignity and great kindness. The care has been second to none and I have always been kept informed of Mum's condition. The rooms are clean, tidy and welcoming. I could not fault any of the staff, who all deserve a medal!
Over three years I have been impressed by the care my wife has received from the (mostly young) staff here. Cheerful, helpful and polite, they do a sometimes difficult job to a high standard.
My mum was here for a year and during that time, there were 4 managers. The care staff I met were very lovely but overall the care mum received was far from satisfactory. There were also constant issues with the laundry - clothes were lost, other residents' clothes were hung in the wrong wardrobes, etc. The food was unappealing and even though my mum needed assistance and food cutting up for her, it rarely was. Mum didn't join any of the activities.
An excellent care home. Amazing end-of-life care to all the family. Mum did not get to use any activities.
My step-father was admitted to Ersham House, from hospital, just as covid struck. He was very happy during his stay there and was well cared for during that time. The staff are always thoughtful, and approachable.
Very impressed with this home. The decor, atmosphere, caring and friendly staff and fresh, clean air. Such a great programme of entertainment. The only thing I could smell was lovely, fresh laundry!
Very pleased to see how lovely this home is. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful, and the staff are rightly referred to as carers. It's a relief to know that our loved one is in safe hands. Thank you.
My wife has been a resident here for over a year. She has advanced Parkinson's disease and related dementia. Her mobility has steadily decreased. During her stay, she appears to have been treated with dignity and compassion by staff, many of whom are quite young, but nevertheless, seem very dedicated.
My aunt moved to Ersham house in June 2020, and through her 6-week stay, she was cared for with dignity by a number of very caring staff members. She was an end of life patient with decreasing mobility and speech, making the choice of a nursing home difficult for us, but the senior nurse was brilliant, from the day we looked around and chose a room for her to the end he was supportive, caring, understanding and always had time for our numerous questions. Choosing a care home for a terminally ill relative through Covid was particularly difficult, but the fact there was a garden where we could visit safely meant everything to us. The team changed back in March, and a lovely group of people are running the home who provided the best care. I would definitely recommend this care home to others.
