View Full Details of Woodside Hall Nursing HomeI spent three weeks respite in Woodside, enjoying a spacious, comfortable room overlooking the expansive informal garden. The staff were friendly, attentive and responsive, and the residents were also very welcoming. Highly recommended.
My mother was looked after by Woodside Care Home from April 2023 until she sadly died in February 2024. Mum was quadriplegic so required help with everything. The care staff treated her with respect and the clinical lead and her nursing team were great. Everyone was always willing to discuss Mum's condition with us and the care she received in her final days helped the family through a difficult time.
My husband has respite at Woodside Hall 4 times a year. The staff are great and know him well. It is very clean, and he is very well looked after. I never worry about sending him there. He is treated with dignity and respect at all times.
My mother (94) was very weak after a nasty cold /cough over Christmas and spent 2 weeks there for respite. She thoroughly enjoyed her stay there and the care she received was first-class. The staff are all very friendly and provide an excellent level of care. The food was very good and my Mother built up her strength during her stay enabling her to return home and be able to cope on her own again. She would definitely stay there again as it has such a friendly homely environment combined with a professional level of care from all the staff.
My father has been in Woodside for several months and has settled in really well, the staff are kind and friendly, the amenities and food are to a great standard. We're very happy we chose Woodside Hall for his complex care needs.
I am so pleased with the way my husband has been looked after, the staff take such good care of him and I can rest easy knowing that he is being taken good care of. Being the first time I have been in this situation the staff have all been very kind and any questions I have they always help with. They also keep in touch with me too. It is a lovely environment, and clean, with very good meals. Most importantly my husband is very comfortable with being there.
Brilliant home, always exceptionally clean and such caring staff, the residents always look so happy and at home. The director is incredibly supportive and is always going above and beyond to make sure the residents feel cared for in a clean, safe, happy and supportive environment.
My mother is very happy living at Woodside. She finds all the staff very caring. Her room is light and bright. We would recommend the home to anyone requiring short or long-term care. Woodside has a family feel to it.
My dad has moved here recently from another nursing home. He is much happier at Woodside Hall. In particular the food offering is very good and the staff are extremely caring.
I have been here for a couple of months for respite. From day one, the staff have been very efficient and friendly. I feel very safe here. My room is spacious and cleaned every day. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursing home to any of my friends.
Very happy with the home, all staff very welcoming. Frequent updates via phone/email. Mum very happy here and loves the staff.
We hold Woodside Hall in the very highest regard. The staff are professional and personal: a combination not always easy to achieve, but WH does so with efficiency, sensitivity and with a smile. We know my father-in-law is safe, comfortable and happy. We score the activities only a slight notch lower, simply because he does not always participate. We would recommend WH without reservation.
From the day I visited Woodside Hall I felt it was a suitable place for my husband, and I was right, he settled in with the help of caring staff. As I live very nearby I was able to visit every day, treated with friendliness and able to observe how well all the staff worked together - cleaning, laundry, kitchen, activities, handyman, caring and excellent nursing staff. For the final months my husband and I were treated with dignity and support.
Mum is very well looked after and settled. She recently celebrated her birthday, all the staff gathered with a cake and sung Happy Birthday which was lovely. Since arriving in August, Mum has also made friends with a number of the other residents. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. It's a relief to know that Mum is safe, well cared for and has friends (new and old) around her.
My father has been in Woodside for 3 months now. My family and I cannot express enough our gratitude to all the staff at Woodside for their friendly and 'can do' attitude. We are very pleased with the care that he has had and continues to receive.
This was our first Christmas with Mum in care and the staff and residents went out of their way to make Dad welcome to Christmas Day Dinner with Mum. Yes Christmas was different this year but it was made far easier by the lovely staff if Woodside Hall.
My dad is well cared for here. He is as happy as he can be in his stage of life. Always has company and is well fed. I get regular updates on his health and mental state and never worry about him since he has been in Woodside. All the staff seem happy and friendly and the place is always clean, without the smell I have encountered in other care homes I've visited. I'm happy that he's in the best place to suit his needs
Prior to moving Dad from hospital into a nursing home, I visited Woodside Hall and was pleasantly surprised by the environment and the caring and friendliness of the staffing team. Dad moved during August 2023 and settled in well, he enjoyed joining in the activities and having a good old sing-song. He was pleased with the Japanese artwork he produced which he gave to his wife. Whilst Dad was at Woodside Hall he had his 90th Birthday which they hosted. Dad's family celebrated his big day. Dad's room looked over the garden but when this was refurbished he was moved into a more spacious room, in which he was comfortable and looked after. The care that Dad received was impeccable and we would like to express our thanks during his final moments with an amazing member of staff by his side. The whole team at Woodside, from administration/cleaners/nursing/care staff are a credit to the care sector. The grounds are amazing and we even enjoyed attending a fete which the home had arranged.
All staff welcomed and cared for Mum. They made her a part of Woodside and encouraged her to feel at home by giving her responsibilities for watering and tending the house plants. She made good friendships with other residents.
I had previously stayed at Woodside Hall and was so well looked after, when I left hospital in October I went straight to them to recuperate. Woodside is well-run, clean and attractive and all the staff are attentive and helpful. The range of food made meals a pleasure and the little snacks lovely. My regret - I have not written a 'thank you' letter to them.
