View Full Details of Glentworth House Nursing HomeI can't speak highly enough - Glentworth House Nursing Home has been fantastic for my mother, both management and care home staff are always available and very professional. My mother and the other residents receive excellent care and are treated consistently with dignity and respect. We visit weekly at different times of day with no forewarning and have always found Mum to be clean, well fed and kept active and involved with carers and other residents, sometimes she has newly painted nails or a new haircut and dress.
Very good.
My daughter has been a resident at Glentworth House for approximately 2 years during which time she has been treated with much kindness, friendliness and respect by all members of staff. I might also add that all staff are very friendly with me too. When I ring to enquire about my daughter's health, this is very important to me and our family as I live over a hundred miles away and can't see her as often as I, or we would like, usually coming by coach/taxi. We are always pleased to see how well she is catered for, to make her as happy and comfortable as possible in her current situation for which we are very grateful.
On entering the home, there is always a very good welcome by the staff, always helpful when there is something asked by visitors, tea and coffee is always offered to visitors. Mum seems very happy in the home with such a wonderful atmosphere. She came out of hospital in the New Year and since has been eating better, she is healing well and communicating better which was not the case before she went into hospital. On receiving care and assistance by staff at Glentworth House, she is now able due to the healing process, to access the wheelchair and be taken by staff to the lounge and garden. Visitors (Family) came to the home recently to celebrate her 84th birthday party, staff made a lovely cheesecake. Mum is happy.
As soon as my wife was accepted at the home she was welcomed and made very much a part of resident's family, has been given first-class care and personal attention. All the carers, nurses and those who keep the home working efficiently do a wonderful job. I always after visiting feel that my wife is in the best possible care which puts me at ease and can know that everyone has made it a very special home for her to be in.
This is a marvellous home. Spotlessly clean. Great food. Caring staff. I need to visit at irregular hours and am always made welcome and encouraged so that my sister has continuous contact. This is very special. Thank you so much.
Overall - excellent. The atmosphere is warm and caring with attention given to each resident's needs. There is a very inclusive attitude and each person is encouraged to participate in whichever way they can, in whatever is happening or ongoing. A lot of planning in order to maintain their physical and mental wellbeing. The creative kitchen staff lure everyone to meals sending out mouthwatering aromas. Spotless rooms and hallways with spotless residents make mingling a pleasure. The management and staff working in their different roles throughout the house are all such important components of this "welcoming home." Thank you.
Happy I now get my newspapers. Obviously, I'd rather be living at home but due to my needs, I have to stay here. Very happy my dog can visit me and happy with the staff.
The home is friendly and so caring and the residents don't want for nothing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
My mother was first a resident in the home for respite and I visited frequently and was impressed with how the staff treated the residents with dignity, respect and kindness. Also, she was always smartly dressed when I saw her. The food she received was of a good standard and a generous portion.
We know that my mum is very well looked after. She is very happy and she always mentions that the staff are very lovely. We are very happy for the care she is receiving.
I like being here. The staff are very nice. The food is very good. I like my room. Everyone is very nice and friendly. I like the garden and the flowers, and I like the rabbit. I like to spend time in the lounge watching television and having fun. I like mixing with people and having fun with staff and other people.
I have been at this nursing home since 2020. The reason I am here is because I was admitted to the hospital with covid-19. I was sorry to leave my flat.
My father is treated with dignity, respect and love here. The staff are (with one exception) kind and helpful, and patient. The rooms are very clean and bright. I am happy my father has landed here.
It's very sad to know your loved one needs to go into a nursing home. We have been given lots of support and understanding. In lockdown my many phone calls were all answered, giving me updates on health etc. Everyone is so kind and the music at a gentle level, calming.
My mother's stay was from March - October 2020. Very caring staff and manager. They always had time to sit and chat and make sure everything they could do for her under difficult circumstances with mother's behaviour. Highly recommended.
My mother lived here for five years and was happy. The staff treat everyone like family and are always on hand to help.
My Mother spent the last 5 years of her life here. She was well cared for in a clean and pleasant room. The staff are very friendly and supportive.
Cannot find fault with this nursing home at all. The staff are brilliant. It is extremely well run. My wife has spent the last 18 months here and her general health and wellbeing have improved beyond recognition. If I ever need to go into a nursing home myself, I hope it is as good as this one.
