View Full Details of Partridge HouseFrom the moment I visited Partridge House I knew it would be a home where my mother would be well taken care of. The carers are always smiling, happy and courteous, nothing is too much trouble for them to do. As a visitor, I have witnessed the close bond the carers have with the residents, always attentive, kind and caring. The bright and colourful surroundings also provide stimulation with the colourful murals and large windows for the residents to gaze out onto the garden. My mother was reluctant to leave home for respite but the carers were able to put her at ease and made her feel at home, they were very understanding. The manager has been brilliant at accommodating my requests for respite, sometimes at short notice. The regular breaks enable me to recharge my batteries. It's a great comfort to me to know she is receiving the best care at Partridge House.
Such a lovely environment - so glad I found this place for my mum. Staff are so welcoming and brilliant fun to chat to and nothing is too much to do for them. So grateful. So happy knowing my mum is settled and in such safe hands. Thank you everyone!
My mum was placed in Partridge House on a temporary basis (six weeks) following her Dementia care at the hospital. Although this temporary placement was not appropriate for my mum’s needs, I have nothing but praise for the entire team at Partridge House for the care and dignity they showed towards my mum, and for treating her as an individual.
My husband has dementia and spent 2 weeks in Partridge House in order to give me time to recharge my batteries. The manager and her wonderful team of nursing staff and carers did a sterling job of caring for him. The interaction of the staff with the residents was very friendly as he was treated like family which created an air of positivity. The staff are all very helpful and attentive not only to the residents but also to the needs of visitors. Meals were eaten with other residents and were taken on walks and encouraged to participate in activities that were offered. The home was clean and tidy. Thank you everyone for looking after him. Keep up the good work.
There have been many changes since my mum moved into Partridge House over 5 years ago. In particular in relation to staff and change of ownership. A year ago there was a high turnover of agency staff which was far from ideal. Since then the new management has done a fantastic job in turning things around and there is now a great team of permanent staff. Due to the wonderful care and attention Mum is receiving from the staff she is happier and more content than she has ever been since moving here which is a huge comfort to me. Mum's needs are being met and I am truly grateful for the loving care that she receives. The activities and social events that are organised throughout the year are great fun for both residents and visitors. The home is bright and spacious and once again it now has a happy and welcoming family atmosphere. I am so happy and lucky that my mum lives at Partridge House and would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for their care and hard work.
I am very happy with the care Mum receives. I truly admire the staff and how hard they work in difficult circumstances at times. They are attentive to Mum and I love seeing her smile and enjoying life, even though the dementia is progressing. I have so enjoyed the activities, bbq and quiz night. Mother's day tea was truly delightful. I follow the website and enjoy the weekly reports on how Mum is doing. The staff are always welcoming and I feel so lucky knowing that Mum is well cared for.
Things were a bit dire here this time last year; however, the new management and permanent staff have improved things immensely. My friend is more settled now, and I don't worry about him quite so much when I'm not there. There is still some way to go with improvements, but they are heading in the right direction now.
When my wife first moved into Partridge Nursing home. I had great reservations regarding whether I had made the right decision as there were several issues that came to light regarding care and support for her needs, and the lack of staff. However, what I did not know at the time was that the home was in the process of changing ownership, which has made great efforts to move forward which I hope will continue to see more improvements.
My mother spent two weeks in Partridge House while her bathroom was being adapted. All the staff were really friendly and professional. My mum enjoyed her time there.
I think it's like a family home, makes you feel very welcome, care is great! A lot of work has been put into this place to make all residents happy and visitors. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the current team. Partridge House Care Home is a happy place.
I like Partridge House, my friend is safe, the food is great and his needs are met. My friend has a choice and is supported when doing the very few things that he enjoys. I hope my friend will improve whilst here as regards his mobility.
Mother needs to know her carers in order to trust them. She has been through some difficult times with a high turnover of agency staff. I feel hopeful that in the near future she will benefit from key workers who know her needs and can give ongoing, sustained care, and address concerns to. The environment is really improving including the dining room facilities etc.
Providing very good care for my dad.
My father has only been at Partridge House for one month and already has settled in really well. The care that Partridge House provides to my father is amazing. They have the most caring, wonderful nurses and carers, who treat residents with the utmost respect and dignity. The staff are always happy to answer any questions and my family and I are always made welcome. Many thanks to all the amazing people that work there and look after my father so well.
The management and staff of Partridge House always try to create stimulating months throughout the year, but particularly December and the run up to Christmas. Most weeks there are entertainers, singers, school choirs, small bands and all residents are well fed and entertained. The care home itself is extremely well kept, cleaned, maintained and well run. I am always kept informed of any health problems with my mother and measures taken to help her.
My father entered Partridge House in August 2018 as a resident. My brothers and sisters cannot be any happier for him being there. The staff are 100% committed to their work and are really dedicated and friendly. As much as we love my father we know he is in the best place and is looked after with love and care. If ever I have to be placed in a care home I hope my family choose Partridge House such is my confidence in Partridge House.
My mother hasn't been at Partridge House long. She has severe vascular dementia with behavioural and psychological symptoms. If you are looking for friendliness, kindness, compassion and endless patience - that is what I have found here, not just for my mother but for me too! I hope she settles because I know she will be safe here.
I have found that the staff are always polite and helpful. My friend has been really ill but when she sees the staff she greets them with a smile and seems really happy. She always appears to be in a comfortable position in bed with cot sides up even though she may be asleep. The staff have to feed my friend usually but are very careful and give her adequate time.
My husband has been a resident for four years with Alzheimer's disease and heart conditions aged 77. The care home always very welcoming to friends and family at any time including meals. Staff and record keeping very professional and accurate. Wonderfully clean and bright interior with a sunny private garden, caring staff always helping residents with individual needs. Social events organised. First class home which has looked after my husband in the best way I could wish for in every aspect of care.
My husband has been in this nursing home for only 4 months. I am very happy with the quality of care he is receiving. The carers I have met on my visits really live up to their name. They genuinely care and are interested in getting to know the residents and try, when possible, to interact with them. I depend very much on the carers who are on duty at the times of my visits to let me know that my husband has been doing, eating, sleeping etc. There seems to be no way to automatically advise relatives without more admin/paperwork.
