View Full Details of Patcham Nursing HomePatcham Nursing Home looked after my father for four months and provided a very high standard of care. It was by far the best of the homes we saw and we were relieved to get a place. The staff were uniformly excellent, showing patience, kindness and a genuine interest in my dad. They were also kind and generous with me, my sister and mother. There was never a moment when I doubted the care he was getting. Thank you to everyone there who made a sad and difficult time a little easier.
This nursing home should be proud of the way they cared for my mum. From staff to management she was treated with kindness and respect. Nothing was too much trouble and when any concerns were raised they were promptly resolved. As a family, we thank you.
Patcham Nursing Home is wonderful! The staff are endlessly kind, patient and understanding. They welcomed all of us and were always there to talk to and to listen. They created such a lovely, warm and friendly atmosphere. They laughed and cried with us and always kept us informed. They were so lovely with our mum and spent a lot of time really getting to know her and allowing us to visit at any time, night or day. They made such a huge effort to organise fun activities from guitar players to magicians, to poetry readings, art sessions and games afternoons, and even had visits from a gorgeous therapy dog. The lovely, home-cooked food made such a difference, along with the regular teas and coffees. An added bonus was the pretty garden and fairy lights. Many visitors commented on how lovely the staff were, and although our amazing mum was only there a short while, we would recommend this lovely nursing home.
Have been really impressed with Patcham Nursing Home. The staff are friendly, kind and respectful, and we really appreciate how kind they are to all of us when we visit our father-in-law. It's lovely to know that he is in good hands.
I couldn't have wished for my dad to be anywhere else other than Patcham Nursing Home. From my initial visit to Dad being cared for at Patcham was 4 days including his day of arrival. All staff looked after and cared for my dad wonderfully, nothing was too much trouble, if Dad wanted ice cream for breakfast then that was what Dad had. Dad received the best palliative care we could have asked for. Not only did all the staff look after Dad they also looked after me. I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone for making Dad's last week as comfortable and caring as possible, it gave me great comfort knowing he was being looked after by you all.
Overall care was pretty good. Unfortunately my husband didn't recover. He was only there for 1 month.
Mum receives the very best in care at Patcham. The management and staff have become like family. She has now been at the home for 6 months and we couldn't be more grateful for the effort they put in every day to make sure she is happy and comfortable.
Without exception the entire staff at Patcham Nursing Home has been superb: thoughful, knowledgeable and caring. We are so happy that my friend ended her days in the home.
I have enjoyed my stay at Patcham Nursing home. The staff were very good.
Mum is very content and enjoys being here.
It was my first time in a care home. I'm very pleased with everyone looking after me. The staff doing their job perfectly and working hard. The staff are very, very good.
I have been here for rehab after breaking my hip. I have found the care and support given by all the staff has been excellent and has helped me make a good recovery. Having access to regular physio and OT support has been brilliant. The home is bright and cheerful with excellent facilities, and I have been able to direct my own stay as much as I wanted to. I have appreciated this opportunity to recover. Thank you.
I have experienced first-class care and friendship from all staff. I have no complaints.
Mum has settled in well at Patcham Nursing Home after a couple of weeks in hospital. The standard of care and support for me and for relatives is very good. All staff are kind, caring, friendly, chatty and professional, treating mum with dignity at all times. Her room is cosy, clean and safe and she has a buzzer to call staff if she needs help. Hot meals offered look delicious and enjoyed by mum (although small appetite!). The garden area is beautiful for residents and visitors to relax in. Home feels safe for all as strict covid checks are followed and PPE worn. Thank you!
The team at Patcham are terrific. They are kind and thoughtful and go the extra mile to make my mother feel comfortable, cared for and special. Throughout Covid in particular, when visiting was impossible, it was so reassuring to know that such an able, committed and caring staff team were looking after her. As a family, we felt very grateful.
My mother went to Patcham Nursing Home for end of life care. It was unfortunate that this coincided with the national lockdown because of COVID and although the home remained COVID-free, visiting was severely restricted. However, the staff and management were more than helpful in finding a way for us to see Mum, especially in her final days. She didn't want to be there but knew it was for the best and we found the staff to be very caring and considerate. They also helped organise the appropriate funding.
Difficult under covid conditions - I have not been inside. My father was happy during his stay and sad to leave.
This is the second time we have had an elderly parent come to Patcham. Based on the care my dad received albeit short we were adamant that mum was to go to Patcham should the need arise. Mum was given a short time to live after a short illness and the staff pulled out the stops to get mum into the care of them and away from hospital. All the staff are amazing, hardworking and friendly, so caring and treated mum with dignity.
My sister has been a resident at this home for a few years. She has MS and she has a bright room to the front of this building. Unfortunately, she has not had hot water in her room for some two months, on my last visit last week, the heating was not working, a great worry for relatives with the weather getting colder. I know it's an old building but maybe things need attention! The decorations in the interior are looking brighter and cleaner, a vast improvement.
Resident very well cared for, family always made very welcome, and staff cannot do enough for us all. Never feel like a visitor, we feel like family as soon as we enter the home. Very clean. Have enjoyed excellent meals with the resident.
