The Kitchen staff do a fantastic job and will make sure everyone has what they want to eat, We booked the front lounge for my husbands birthday, so all the family could come and help him celebrate in one area, the room was decorated along with some drinks and sandwiches and they made a lovely birthday cake that they brought in with about 6 members of staff. Ashton Grange and all of the staff are amazing. Mum is well looked after and treated with the upmost care. Thank you manager and your team you are all brilliant. Mum is comfortable and all needs are dealt with compassion. Thank you so much
The manager is always available to answer our questions. Staff kindness and compassion was top-notch and made a real difference to Mum. The kitchen staff were only too happy to cook whatever Mum wanted. (Thank you to the chef) Many thanks to the manager and all the team at Ashton Grange. Yours gratefully.
I am very happy with the care my mother receives at Ashton Grange Nursing Home. Staff check on her regularly, which is important for someone who is bed-bound. She is treated with respect and dignity and the staff are always cheerful and positive. My mother enjoys the food and they make sure that she is hydrated, which can be a challenge for those with dementia. Birthdays are a special event here. Staff created a special birthday party for my mother and her family with many grandchildren/great-grandchildren to attend. She loved it!
I found everybody very helpful and caring, nothing is too much trouble and my mother is very well looked after. She is always praising the staff. There is a lot of entertainment for the residents and they all seem to be enjoying themselves.
My stepdad has been at Ashton Grange for 20 months. I have found all the staff working here to be caring and compassionate and the home is very well managed. They organise different activities and often send me photos of my stepdad taking part. I am kept informed of any changes to his health and that inspires confidence. Carers, nurses and management are all equally happy to take the time to answer any questions. As his medical needs change, everyone is well-informed and acts on new information immediately. I'm very happy with the continuing care that he receives.
My Mother has been cared for at Ashton Grange since April 2022. The staff are all well trained and very caring and empathetic. I am reassured that Mum is receiving the very best care for her needs. There are many varied activities planned and there is a happy environment.
My wife is being cared for in a clean and friendly environment and receives all the care and attention she needs. The services provided are excellent and she is very happy to be taken out on visits and wave to people.
My wife has been at Ashton Grange for 2 years now and l found the staff management very competent in their care. They are very caring, my wife has complex needs and the staff are very good with her needs. l am very pleased with her care.
My relative was a resident at Ashton Grange for 10 years. We struggled to find a suitable place for the complex needs that would require professional care, whilst also meeting everyday needs and care. My family and my relative were extremely happy with all the care aspects given i.e. nursing, carers, social interactions, catering and cleaning. A very well-managed home run by an excellent manager with a great well-trained friendly compassionate team. Most of all my relative was happy, felt secure. Felt understood and genuinely felt like an integral part of the family as a whole.
We always find the staff kind, caring and attentive. They provide a range of activities for the residents throughout the week to keep them active and help with their cognitive functions. Since our friend moved here, it has been a relief to know how well cared for she has been. The management keeps us informed, provides regular updates on our friend, and arranges family activities for friends and relatives to attend. It really is an excellent testament to how a care home should be run.
Really friendly nursing home, very clean and tidy and all residents look very well cared for. My parents are both comfortable and safe and have their medical needs taken care of. Some parts of the building could do with updating and upgrading but this does not affect comfort or safety.
My Mum spent a year in Ashton Grange, I cannot thank the staff enough for all the care and support she received. From the first day she was there I no longer had to worry, I knew she was safe, her progress was amazing. All staff go above and beyond, I can honestly not praise them enough, the love and kindness they showed her was truly genuine. My Mum started to laugh again and enjoy life, she absolutely adored the staff, they built up a bond which was very touching for me and my family. She was always clean and well looked after, I was able to phone daily and speak with her and I was always kept informed with regards to her welfare. The activities that are provided for the residents are always inclusive and stimulating, I really enjoy seeing the pictures of everyone on their Facebook page and have many treasured memories from these. Unfortunately my Mum had a stroke, but she returned from hospital to pass away with people she loved, I will always be forever grateful to Ashton Grange.
My mother has found the staff to be compassionate and professional producing a friendly and welcoming environment. I've been treated kindly and respectfully and any queries have been properly dealt with.
My mother entered the home for respite care, but the care she received was so good that we decided it was best for her to stay. I have seen nothing but warmth and gentleness for my mum and for the other residents. She is treated with utmost respect and care for her dignity. The home is clean and welcoming always. The staff clearly know my mum incredibly well. On her very first day, the senior nurse noticed how distracted Mum is when she eats and arranged for someone to be with her at mealtimes to help her. That is something that we were aware of but had never persuaded others to take seriously before. The staff are also very kind to me and my family, and they keep us up to date all the time. They are never too busy to listen to a concern, or just to reassure. The relief I feel at Mum being so well cared for is unbelievable. I would really recommend Ashton Grange to anyone whose loved one has dementia.
My mother went into this care home in March 2022 with dementia, she has been looked after so well I couldn't have wished for a better place for her to be. I love going to visit her every week and I'm sure she is quite happy that the staff are amazing and it's a lovely friendly home.
I visited my friend every day during the last week of her life. She was treated with kindness, dignity and respect by everyone. I was made to feel welcome and all my questions were answered fully and clearly; staff made time for me. I'm very grateful to all staff at Ashton Grange, I can't thank them enough for helping me through a sad and difficult week.
My beautiful mum has only been in care home since October last year, after many trips to hospital, I haven't been able to see her but would like to thank my contact so much for always being so kind and caring when I speak to him, and truly believe you are doing the best for her, thank you. It means the world to me.
Mum's care overall was very good. Staff very helpful to the relatives. The only downside is that after clothes had been washed she would end up having someone else's put in her wardrobe. In all very pleased with the care Mum got.
My mum in law was extremely poorly when she first came to the home. With kindness care and exceptional support, mum spent the last year of her life at Ashton Grange, her life was happy comfortable and all that it should be. The staff were exceptional. Mum went out and was able to take part in activities. Mum could not have had better care. We as a family cannot thank the staff enough.
