The care and responsiveness to my uncle is excellent and this makes him happy despite his conditions. Every one of are appreciated.
The resident spent several years at Compton House Christian Nursing Home. These were very happy years for her because of the excellent standard of care, we as a family were able to live our own lives, obviously with regular visits. The quality of food was very good, freshly prepared and a choice for each meal. And those cakes! As she became frailer, the fact that it was a nursing home meant all her medical needs were met. She died with dignity and the staff were remarkable. Excellent in every aspect.
My mother was a resident of Compton House for 13 years and originally had always supported the home. It is a 'home from home', the staff are wonderful, kind, caring and professional. The comfort and ambience of the home are superb and nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are delightful in all departments. I consider them friends. My mother was always treated with respect, dignity and love too. The doctor usually comes in once a week and this is of great value. Volunteers come in regularly to help with the garden offering services and adding to the sense of normality.
My father has settled in very well, he finds the staff friendly and caring. He says the food is excellent and is very happy with his room. He enjoys the varies activity programme and is never bored. It's a happy atmosphere and our family are very appreciative of the level of care he is afforded. We know he is being really well looked after. Our only slight frustrations come from visiting rules and restrictions which may have been a legacy of Covid. We would love to be able to see him in communal areas, instead of just his room, and be able to meet his new friends.
My aunt received excellent care from the moment she went to live in Compton House until the day she passed away peacefully and with dignity just before her 102nd birthday. I was always kept fully informed of her care in an open and professional manner. All the staff and their manager are kind, patient and caring people. The home is clean, comfortable and homely. Every effort is made to encourage independence. I couldn’t fault anything.
