View Full Details of Eastridge ManorMy Dad spent 18 months at Eastridge Manor and was cared for as if he was a member of the family, we were always welcome at whatever day or time we arrived. The staffing ratio seems to work well meaning we felt comfortable leaving Dad in their care. We also have a lovely memory of the summer 2024 fete in the well tended grounds, and sitting in the secure garden. On occasions when we needed to know about something to do with healthcare or medication, staff would take the appropriate action communicating with us about their concerns. There are a number of places to chat when you visit other than the bedroom you have allocated for your family member, which is lovely. Food was good, including curry a particular favourite for Dad, but fish on Friday and roasts were well enjoyed too. A new chef summed it up by saying he cooked as if he was doing this for his relations. We would recommend Eastridge Manor.
Eastridge Manor provided my father, with outstanding care in his final days. Set on beautiful grounds in Wineham, West Sussex, the environment itself is peaceful and uplifting, a place where he could enjoy the sight of wildlife and lush gardens from his ground-floor room. Special thanks to the Manager for finding him such a serene space. The entire team went above and beyond, showing genuine affection and tenderness in every interaction. The compassion in the nurses' eyes was something we'll never forget-it reassured us that he was not only being cared for but truly valued. The warmth and professionalism of the staff made all the difference, comforting him and our family with kindness and grace. We cannot thank you all enough for everything you did for my father. Eastridge Manor will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you for treating him with such dignity, respect, and love which everyone truly deserves.
My mum was a resident at Eastridge Manor for just over 5 years until June of 2024. She was very happy there. The staff were attentive to her needs and considerate of her medical condition. She was regularly included in activities within the home and whenever I visited I could see genuine affection for her from the nursing and care team. The management were welcoming of residents' families and we were able to discuss Mum's ongoing care requirements with them. Eastridge Manor is a well-kept care home, set in lovely grounds with a caring team of staff.
My father was discharged to another nursing home from hospital in March he hated the home he went to so I found Eastridge Manor. We looked at homes in the same price range. Not only does my father have the beginnings of dementia he is experiencing a psychosis. Dad is challenging and difficult , the staff all deal with him kindly and without judgment of his often bad behaviour. From day one dad was happy, there were a few miscommunication problems but I rapidly came to realise that there was a lot going on behind the scenes to ensure my father received the best care. The management team helped with applying for funding for additional care. All the staff are very kind, from the lovely laundry ladies to the management. The GPs are very good, and I can be present for visits. For all changes, I am spoken to in person or by phone. If I were picky I would say too much is done for dad, and everyone is too nice, the staff should not have to take rudeness! A joy to visit and the gardens are beautiful. Food good.
My wife has been a resident for a considerable amount of time and I wouldn't wish for her to be anywhere but Eastridge the quality of care is remarkable and all staff from management to maintenance staff are all so professional.
My mother entered Eastridge Manor in Jan 24 with dementia symptoms. The care and attention she received from the team of carers were superb. Going above and beyond as my mother's condition worsened which happened quite rapidly, including loss of speech. The Manager and her team are to be congratulated for providing superlative care not only for my mother but for the whole family, guiding us through a very difficult time. The setting of the home, with wonderful gardens, provided my mother with a peaceful outlook in the short time she was there.
My mum moved it Eastridge Manor in May 2023. Her Dementia/Alzheimer's had become to a point where she needed more nursing care input. As the main carer for mum, it was difficult to let go, but the staff were very helpful, patient and understanding and I felt reassured she would receive the best of care. Any questions I had, the staff dealt with them in an acceptable timely manner. I was always informed and included in all aspects of her care including the meetings to assess and update her health and welfare right up until she passed away. She was treated with dignity and respect throughout her time there. She was happy there. My family were very grateful for all the care and kindness given by all members staff. Thank you.
Eastridge Manor has a welcoming feel and is beautifully furnished. My mother was a resident there for several years until her death last year. The love and care provided was excellent. Sadly she was unaware of this but as her family, we were more than satisfied. I recommended Eastridge to a couple of friends who subsequently placed a family member in this lovely place.
My dear friend was cared for very well as her dementia progressed, and the kindness of the staff, especially at her last few days, was exemplary. At visits, I always found her clean and well-turned out. She seemed contented always. I knocked off one star for always having to wait for someone to answer the front door! However, I suspect this was because their patients had priority.
My grandparents have been staying at Eastridge Manor for a few months now. They were both very reluctant to move to a nursing home but I can honestly say that they are both really settled now. The team are always very helpful and I am always kept informed on how they are. My grandfather does not have dementia and he is there as he does not want to be separated from his wife. The staff engage with him as he finds it hard to communicate with other residents due to their illness. I would recommend the home to others and a big shout out to the team who remain professional throughout challenging situations.
Our mother was a resident in Eastridge Manor for eight weeks for respite care. The home is in a beautiful and peaceful country setting, with extensive gardens and a large pond. Without exception, the management and staff at all levels were absolutely fantastic; kind, attentive and loving. The level of care was absolutely superb and Mum was physically and mentally in a lot, lot better of a state after her respite. Many, many thanks from the family for all your great work.
Very disappointed with the judgemental way my partner was treated after an incident. We had high expectations of the Home but sadly were disappointed. It quotes on the website that "Our Understanding of dementia nursing and providing exceptional care means we achieve a standard of excellence in all aspects of the service." Sadly this was not our experience. A nice building and grounds with kind staff, but as soon as needs became challenging, he was forced to leave with 2 weeks' notice with no willingness to follow the suggestions of the consultant, which could have enabled a route forward to care in situ, or at least more clarity that there was an ongoing issue, and how to manage it, or even a timescale that would have allowed us to find another reasonable option. This sudden move from a Home he loved caused a lot of distress & his dementia has worsened alongside it. I worked as a social worker for over 20 years and I could not recommend a home with this ethos and approach.
My mum stayed at Eastridge Manor for two weeks respite whilst Dad had an operation. I had been given a personal recommendation and having worked in retirement housing was very pleasantly surprised by the all-round quality of Eastridge Manor. It has a warm and welcoming environment and decor, but it was the staff that completely sold it for me. They are so friendly and caring - I was always allowed to visit unannounced (always a good sign!) and made to feel very welcome. I was actually sad when it was time for Mum to go home. I would recommend Eastridge without hesitation and would use their services again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Team Eastridge!
Without the amazing staff at Eastridge Manor from the cleaners to management I don't think my mum would still be there. They went above and beyond for our mum as well as us, they are the most caring loving kind people. As a family we couldn't be happier that our mum is at Eastridge loved and cared for daily.
My mother has been at Eastridge Manor for ten years. She is now 100 years old, which I'm sure she would not have achieved without the care she has received there.
We looked at many homes before deciding on Eastridge Manor. As soon as we walked through the door and met the staff we knew it was the perfect home for my relative. He settled in very quickly and called it home. Thanks to everyone at Eastridge Manor who made a difficult decision much easier to cope with. We could not have chosen a better home for our relative.
I cannot express enough gratitude for all those who cared for my mother at Eastridge Manor. She settled in quickly and it became her home. The patience, care, and dignified manner in which she was looked after gave our family great comfort that she was in the best place to meet her needs. She was suffering badly from advanced dementia and passed away at the age of 96. Her final parting was managed with dignity and sensitivity. I look back now at this difficult time assured that we made the best decision to transfer her to Eastridge for the final years of her life. We will always be grateful to the Eastridge Manor team.
Dad was a resident at Eastridge Manor for nearly 10 years until his death in October 2021. Everyone, from the management team to the nurses and carers, the laundry and kitchen staff, the cleaners, and the maintenance team were just brilliant. We couldn't have chosen a better home for Dad. From the very start of Dad's stay at Eastridge, it was clear to us that they cared for him as an individual. The staff got to know him and as a result, gave him so much more than just somewhere to stay. He had a home and was wonderfully cared for with dignity and compassion. I highly recommend Eastridge Manor.
Our whole family are very appreciative of the high quality of care and support which Mum receives at Eastridge (since 2020). The extremely efficient management of the home - plus the group into which Eastridge fits - but above all, the high quality of nursing are a shining example of what every family hopes for and what gives comfort to a resident in these unusually demanding times.
I am very pleased with how my mother has settled at Eastridge. The staff are very caring and professional. It has been very difficult during the pandemic but I am very pleased with how the staff have dealt with everything during these difficult times.
