View Full Details of Fairlight Nursing HomeI would like to take this time after sadly loosing my Nan which will always leave a big hole in my heart and all of Fairlight. A big thank you to everyone at Fairlight Nan very much appreciated each and everyone of you and saw you as family . Your care is amazing and I couldn't have wished Nan to of been anywhere else . Even at Nan's darkest moments you supported her when I was not there so thank you again. It's never easy from one day to the next when you're waiting for your loved ones to come through the door to see you, but you all fill those gaps up and beyond. Big thank you once again.
Excellent Nursing Home very well managed and run, clean and tidy and welcoming. In particular, the carers were excellent, empathetic very kind to both my wife and our family. It gave us a lot of faith that my wife was being looked after so well.
My late father was placed in the care of Fairlight as initially a respite when my mother's terminal illness meant she could no longer care for him in 2021. She was too frail to return home, and the Fairlight team agreed to accept her into the home for her final months in order that they could be together. We were frequent visitors to the home, and the care provided to our parents was second to none. All staff took time to speak with and formed bonds with them. The whole team provided much support as our mother's health deteriorated until her death in January 2022, including support to us as we practically stayed at the home for her final weeks. There is a very good range of activities, and these are run by a dedicated events team; this team were instrumental in supporting my father who had advanced Alzheimer's manage his grief too. Sadly Dad also died this year. We would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely home to you.
My father was put in Fairlight in Oct 2020. He didn’t settle in straight away and if it wasn’t for a few of the staff and nurses he wouldn’t have. He didn’t like the food much because he was a fussy eater who only liked traditional English food. He went in during covid, so until the Government eased the rules of going in it was very hard for him but the event manager made it possible for a video call once a week so I could see him. My father passed away suddenly on 3rd July this year and I couldn’t fault the staff that was on duty when this happened. They were brilliant. My only disappointment with Fairlight is the owner. They did not offer any condolences to my family which I think is dreadful and then to top it all, five weeks after him passing I get sent an invoice for £5 for toiletries my dad had, bearing in mind my dad was not fully funded, he had to pay towards the home. I cannot fault the staff as I say they were brilliant but disgusted with the owner, it seems my late father was just a number!
My father-in-law was a recent resident and I and his family cannot say a big enough thank you for your excellent care and compassion you showed to both him and my mother-in-law during his short stay. You made his last few weeks as comfortable and happy as you possibly could and you made his final journey so peaceful for him. We wish to thank you all that took care of all his needs.
Excellent facility. Lovely staff, wonderful grounds and surroundings. Best nursing care home in Sussex. Very happy with care of our aunt at 96.
The staff are without exception very friendly and helpful, and some are particularly caring with my mother, and make her feel special. Food is very good. The rooms in the new wing are spacious and light, with doors onto a patio or terrace. Staff sometimes seem rather overstretched, and getting dressed or undressed can be rushed and/or late in coming. The activities programme is very well run and offers something every day.
