View Full Details of Knowle House Nursing HomeMy mother had been very content at Knowle House for 6-years up until her recent death. The staff worked very hard and have been very caring towards her and made it a very cheerful and pleasant place for the families to visit. They arrange fun social occasions such as quiz nights, tea parties, summer and Christmas events. I would recommend Knowle House for anyone wanting a smaller nursing home as it was the perfect place for my mother. The management and owner are excellent.
My mother was moved into Knowle House after a 10-week stay in hospital that left her feeling very vulnerable and frightened after being dropped by a nurse. Knowle House from day one treated mum with such good care and encouragement from the moment she arrived, that within a day, she went down in her wheelchair to take part in activities including painting and dominoes. Mum had a couple of good weeks and then became very poorly and although it would have been easier to send her to hospital, they allowed her to stay at the home and gave excellent care and supported the family through her final few weeks. I can not thank the staff enough for their support and understanding during a difficult time for us and them, as mums last days were the start of the Coronavirus lockdown in the home. My mother died with a family member present which means so much to us all and two very caring nurses on hand for support. Thank you Knowle House for giving mum at least a few weeks where she was very happy.
Even though my mother only has a one month stay, she was looked after extremely well. The staff were very caring, efficient and thoughtful. In her final few days, the palliative care she received was delivered timely and with sensitivity.
My mum arrived at Knowle House after being discharged from hospital. I was so worried about her but I really need not have been. Unfortunately, my mum did not get time to enjoy her new home as she was 93 and very frail and sadly passed away last week. It's important that all the staff receive full recognition of their kindness, patience and absolute first class care. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of Knowle House. Thank you to all of you.
We have been very pleased with how Knowle House has treated my mother over the last six weeks. Staff have been consistently extremely friendly, helpful and efficient and my mother has been very happy. Communication with the management of the home has been first class and they could not have been more helpful in dealing with all our enquiries.
After visiting 300+ care and nursing homes in Sussex, Surrey and Kent, travelling 500+ miles, I found the best 300 yards from my home - RESULT!!!!
The staff have been wonderful. They are always there when needed. I cannot praise them enough.
My mother was reluctant to leave hospital and be a temporary resident at Knowle House. However after sometime when she realised at 92 she couldn't do all the things she used to this was accepted as home. The staff treated my mother with care and compassion. Unfortunately in early April my mother passed away and the last few days of her life were made to be as comfortable as possible due to the staff and new manager of the home. His team of staff are a credit to their profession.
